Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I can speak some Italian and some French, I am very patient and love working with people. I volunteer at my church and charity events or soup kitchens, so I'm very good with people. I have actually spent a lot of time examining and studying the rules, Fair Trade Thread, and BBC Codes, so I know how to help others with their questions. I was a newbie once, as we all were, so I understand how frustrating it is to be cheated out of pets. If I'm a General Helper, I can help newbies understand trading.
Why do you want to be a General Helper? I've always wanted to do something to help this site. It's the only internet site I go on, and I really love it. I know what it's like to be confused on this site, and sometimes it was confusing on how to get help, so this way I can help others get through their struggles and become excellent traders and beautiful artists. When I first joined this site, I got in trouble for not knowing I couldn't draw a picture off the internet. This scared me and I wanted to make sure this didn't happen to other people. This way they know what they are doing and can really enjoy the site.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I am pretty slow to anger, and I don't mind repeating myself and slowing things down so people can understand better. I can take screen shots and edit them pretty easily. That could help if I ever need to show someone where and how to do something on here like edit their profile or something. Also, I read chatspeak and bad grammar fluently, without being annoyed by it too much. Might be a help. x3
Why do you want to be a General Helper? I like helping people. I've been doing my best to help newer members on here already, with answering questions over PM and sometimes gifting new members as a welcome to CS present. Honestly, I just want more opportunities to help out.

Eight- twelve hours on average(I'm on pretty much all the time), and a bare minimum of three hours

While I may have only joined this year, I am a fast learner and I believe that I am capable of handling the responsibility. I am an extremely patient person who understands what it's like, for lack of a better term, to not understand.
English is my first language, I speak semi-fluent French, Spanish, Romanian and a little Italian and Mandarin. I have experience as a mediator in real life, and a member of a peer support group, Student Representatives Council and in the learning center (special needs class). While I do struggle occasionally with some of the larger list trades, I do have a general understanding of what a fair trade is, and am able to assist readily. I am also quite knowledgeable in BBC coding and editing. To summarize: I have sound knowledge on anything you may ask of me.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?
While there are many reasons for wanting to be a general helper, I will focus on only one. To help fellow CS members.
I recall being that newbie who knew nothing about rules of conduct, trading, BBC coding and the like, and I remember all those people that were there for me when I needed help. The friendly, knowledgeable people who were willing to answer all my, what I now realize to be, pretty ridiculous questions. I appreciate that. And I, just as all the others here, would like to be that person to go to. Giving back to the community and sharing knowledge.

I can speak 2 other languages, if it is needed, I have definitely been on CS long enough to know whether or not a trade is fair or not, and what the trade values are. I dont usually get angry, and I try to remember that CS is a place where many users come to escape difficulties and a childrens site. I can be very patient, and I DON'T cuss in real life, even when it is allowed. I've always been the one to love to help both on the cyber net and in real life.
Also, If this helps in anyway, I have been a mod on several different sites, watching over others and making sure they follow the rules. I have helped on many different sites as well.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?: I think this will help many users, newbies and older ones in many ways. Ultimately, This will also help my communication skills and help me in the real world, getting practice as a General Helper here on CS. I absolutely love helping others in whatever it is they need and answering questions. I honestly have always loved answering questions, so I will definitely be there to answere any question in the Help System, and help direct them to the help system if needed. Aside from the these duties, I love to meet new people and will very often go to welcome others to this site and ensure a safe tour and have fun on this wonderful site. As said in the upper section; I have had experience as a helper before(for smaller sites) and I would definitely love to move higher and have a larger challenge in helping such a large site as ChickenSmoothie.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? To be perfectly honest too many. I don't know the exact amount, but usually around 4-5 hours total.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation? Do you consider yourself a trade-value expert? Do you already answer a lot of questions in the forum?) I do not pretend to be an expert of any kind, but I've already taken it upon myself to help countless numbers of users in the past. I'm getting a lot better with helping people with pet-trades, and am great at explaining how to do things in the easiest way possible, as well as explaining a lot of other things on this site. Not all of said helping has been on CS as well, I have friends who message me on other sites/programs when they have questions about CS, and have experience helping new users on this site as well as other pet sites.
Why do you want to be a General Helper? I would like to become a general helper to help users who have questions I can answer. When I started out on CS this year I was completely lost and I had tons of help before I finally got the hang of this site, so I'd like to pay forward all the help I've received myself by helping others. I also feel that with the knowledge I've gained so far I can be useful in answering questions and helping players on here if given the chance. I already do so in my free time so this seems to be a great way to help people even more.
Whether this is accepted or not, I would like to thank the CS staff and all members who have helped me in the past, including but not limited to the general helpers who have already volunteered, as well as thank you for the opportunity to become a general helper.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I can speak both english and chinese, although I'm more comfortable with speaking english. I can understand a little japanese, but not enough so that I can start a conversation with it. I also have some experience with being a forum moderator, as I was once a moderator on a site I used to frequent, until it closed down due to internal issues. I won't say that I'm an expert in trade values, but I've been on CS long enough so that I can tell a fair trade apart from an unfair one, and I occasionally offer advice on the Fair Trade Thread (FTT). I also have moderate knowledge of how much a certain style or type of art is valued and also how much a design is worth, due to my frequenting the CAAA (character adoption adicts anonymous) thread, where topics of designs, art, and characters are the main focus. I also have a lot of experience in rping, being a semi-literate to literate rper myself, as I've participated in forums where rping id the main focus, and also have participated in semi-lit to lit rps on many sites. Because of this, I'm pretty confident that I will be able to give advice on the best ways to create or post in an rp, and also how to make an rp so that it won't die out before it even starts.
Why do you want to be a General Helper? I believe that we should help one another in order to create a peaceful, condusive environment where we can all enjoy ourselves and have fun. After all, game forums are a place where you go to in order to escape from stress, no? Therefore, so that CS can remain a peaceful place I am willing to offer my time and services to help as many people as I can, and also to give people advice whenever they need it, and not just when they ask for it. And honestly speaking, becoming a General Helper would be the greatest and best thing that I could do in order to repay the many people who have helped me when I was a newer CSian. Or at least, that's what I believe.

Why do you want to be a General Helper? I very often getting PM in which members asking me for help. With trade (if is fair or not, how much is some pet rare etc...) or want help where can find something (for example in archive or on forum etc...). And I'm very glad when I can help every time.

On a daily basis it is normally three to five (or more) hours. During the weekends it is usually longer.
Most times if I do have events, or I am not at my house, I can use my mobile to access the site.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
I do have some experience in real life and online that relates to helping others, which leads me to firmly believe I have the skills and personality to genuinely help new players. I love to work with younger kids and babysit, which requires a certain level of understanding and compassion to cooperate with them. I feel that these skills can transfer to the internet, and would be a trait necessary for helping new players. As well as that, I have helped online communities before, both as an individual and as a volunteer. On Pine Ridge Herding (#27) I'm a 'Shepherd Helper'. Shepherd Helpers are the equivalent of General Helpers on PRH. I welcome new players, answer questions, guide players around the site, and I have access to a report office where I can answer questions that are submitted. This role has aided me in practicing answering questions thoroughly, being patient, and understanding the time necessary to put aside so I can answer questions and help new users to the best of my abilities.
I also believe my comprehension of the game is in-depth and solid. I feel very comfortable with the site, and I do truly believe I know my way around. I can perform pet and item identification well, and I also have experience in rarities, including 'list' pets. I've traded around very rares before, so I have a basic understanding and experience when it comes to the more exclusive, rarer pets. The 'Is This a Fair Trade?' thread is a resource I use often, and by lurking around I have learned my fair share of trading equality. Outside of CS pets I can code and explain it well, and I have even dabbled in HTML knowledge. Admittedly I have not fiddled with the Oekaki too much, but I know the basics. Rules, trade settings, how the pound works, and other CS elements I am also familiar with, and I can explain the process.
My personality has also adapted to a skill that I can use to help players. I am very patient and level-headed. I work in a calm, understanding manner, and I enjoy working with others. I am also an extreme social butterfly and I get along well with others, which would help me explain concepts to new players more thoroughly and easier.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?
Honestly, I genuinely love helping others. To see someone finally understand something, or to even thank me is the best feeling in the world. I feel like I've made a difference, albeit very small. I feel that the title of General Helper would aid me in being more 'spot-able',so users can come right to me with their questions. I am a very outgoing individual, and heartily I enjoy getting pms, answering questions, and socializing with others, which would make the position of a General Helper all the more enjoyable.
I have also been a newbie on many other sites, so I can empathize with the difficulties and confusion about joining and adjusting to something new. It was always refreshing to be welcomed with a warm hand, and to receive detailed, quick responses to my questions. In turn, I would plan to emulate this, and use friendliness and thoughtful answers to questions, however many they may be, to help newcomers.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS? I like to get on CS every day, every week.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? I'd say around 3-4 on week days and 6-8 on week ends! C:

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I am a male user, and I am an extremely friendly person. I absolutely love the messaging system CS provides, and I love to message not only my friends, but different users on CS! I am always up to chatting or helping someone who is asking questions. You'll find me around the forums a lot, checking out new threads and getting to know different things going on!
I've also been registered on CS for almost three years now. Because of this, I know how to trade, I know the rules front and back, I know pet rarities pretty well, and I know how the site is laid out and where everything is. I personally believe this is what a General Helper needs to know.
Lastly, I know two languages very well. English and Japanese. Although Japanese may not come in handy all the time, I've lived their most of my life and I know about different cultures and celebrations. This may not be that helpful, but at least I'm prepared. c:

Why do you want to be a General Helper? This is one of my favorite jobs on CS. Chickensmoothie is quickly changing, and is constantly upgrading. I want to be a GH who you can count on. I would love to meet the new players; which help make this site so popular and great. I'd love to answer their questions because I enjoy doing that so much. I'd love to just chat with people who are bored and want to talk to someone. I honestly think this is the one job in which I could do to the best of my ability and help the General Helper team.

Whether or not I get the position, I will still go back to welcoming new players and answering their valuable questions. That is something I will always love, whether or not I have a pink username.
