Genre of the book (fantasy, action, adventure): realistic fiction
Anything I should know first?: (if this book is not for young readers or cussing is heavy please don't suggest it): This book is for kids around the 7th and 8th grade age group. It's a very loving book, and ever so good. but prepare the tissues, kids. this ones gonna be a doozy. if you've never cried in a book, you're gonna sob. and if you have, you are gonna be sobbing harder than ever before. you have been warned.

Wow, severe sob-warning. I never cry in books (or movies) though, so I'm going to want to read this... just to see. ;)
I have been wanting to read that one though. ^.^

Agreed, I cried straight through the last 80 pages of the book! Good thing I wasn't reading in public.

Everyone's probably read it already but a book that's even sadder than TFiOS is The Book Thief.

Hello!
Title: Fallen
Author: Lauren Kate
Other books in series:
#1: Fallen
#2: Torment
#3: Passion
#4: Fallen in Love
5# Rapture

Genre of the book: A fantasy romance, I guess you could call it.
Anything I should know first?: It does have one or two swear words. It's a book for at least over 14's to 15's.

Description:
Instant. Intense. Weirdly familiar... The moment Luce looks at Daniel she knows she has never felt like this before. Except she can't shake that feeling that she has... and with him - a boy she doesn't remember ever setting eyes on. Will her attempt to find out enlighten her - or destroy her?
(That's on the back of book one.)

It's pretty Goth, if you're into that sort of thing, about fallen angels. But give them a go. They're very captivating, gotta-turn-the-next-page sort of thing.

    I'm friends with the monster
    that's under my bed.
    Get along with the voices
    inside of my head.
    You're trying to save me,
    stop holdin' your breath.
And you think I'm crazy, yeah you think I'm crazy.
    Well that's not fair.

Hello!
Title: Mrs. Peregrine's home for peculiar children
Author: Ransom Riggs
Other books in series: (in order please) Mrs. Peregrine's home for peculiar children, Hollow city
Genre of the book (fantasy, action, adventure): action and slightly horror
Anything I should know first?: (if this book is not for young readers or cussing is heavy please don't suggest it): This book is for kids in seventh grade or up. That is, if you are brave enough to read it. There is light cursing, but be warned, this book can get quite creepy. My advice: do NOT read it at night. There are pictures in here taken by an actual camera, not drawn. For some people, this book may not seem creepy at all. but I warn you nonetheless. The plot line is amazing, thrilling, and intense. Ransom Riggs is quite the writer, and can tell a creepy tale better than your councilor at a camp fire. A definite read!

I was so ready to love this book! It seemed like it had a good premise and was mysterious and interesting but I just couldn't get into it :/ The main character was great, I really liked him but the story was random and pointless and didn't go anywhere. It just looked the the author had found those creepy pictures and tried to create a story based on them but failed. It's too bad...
