How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: I spend roughly 5-8 hours a day on CS, having lots of free time. Depending on what might be going on it might be more or less time.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation? Do you consider yourself a trade-value expert? Do you already answer a lot of questions in the forum? Do you know how all the tools/options in the oekaki work?):

I could bring a variety of skills to the General Helper position; I am very patient and level headed with all members and it is very rare for me to lose my temper, putting myself in other users shoes as if they were to receive my message. Most of my experience of dealing with peer meditation comes from the thread Lights on Lights Off, played in October by over 1,000 members. I have also done some off site activities, such as lending a hand in dA groups to accept/decline submissions and answering questions members may have. The groups I administrate are WeAreThePokemonFans, my group with over 300 members, and PokemonFans4Ever, another group with over 12,000 members. Lastly, I moderate a chatroom called PokemonRevolution, which resides on dA and contains about 25-30 members each day (on average). I handle situations where users may get into an argument (which also has helped me deal with peer meditation) or need a question answered. I have also helped a few times on the "Is This a Fair Trade?" thread to give any rarity advice to my knowledge. Taking precautions to me is very important (if I want to answer the question successfully without angering/frightening the other member). In the help forums I am there answering questions I know about, and also giving users a bit of advice next time, depending on the question/suggestion. Not only do I post around the help forums, but I help introduce new members or old members to the site and give them useful links when possible in the introductions board.

After a being on various sites I have picked up knowledge on HTML and CSS coding, and know a lot of BBcode. I have, in the past, done roleplay, and received a lot of experience from doing it over 3 years time. I also find the Oekaki very easy to maneuver in, and it's tools are fairly easy to use and change (to settings like hard round or more scatter), although I'm sure it can be confusing to new members as it was to me at first, it would be beneficial to members if my knowledge, on various threads for the Oekaki, was shared. Lastly, I speak a bit of Spanish (Latin American) from taking various classes in school.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?:

The General Helper position fits me best out of all the positions on CS; I find helping other members very enjoyable. Seeing the enthusiastic words they use makes me smile when helping or introducing them on the site, nothing could make me happier then to see that. Being a Newbie Helper on a different site, Furry-Paws, has inspired me to shoot here and continue helping new, or old, members.

Being a General Helper would be a joyous opportunity, since all the knowledge I have gathered up until now could be beneficial to other members. Being on the site for 3 years has been an enjoyable time, and I would love to continue by becoming a General Helper and being given the opportunity to share my knowledge.

Well I help out my real-life friends on Chicken Smoothie allot. Mostly with trades and stuff, But I really wish to help more. I'm also on a ton. I'm also going to learn Japanese, I know a few words, and It shouldn't be long, My mom taught english and preached in japan for about 4 years. I also know english, (of course), I'm also very curious, and I do allot of research when I see things and facts I don't recognize. I know how to use the oekaki, (Even though I prefer SAI paint tool) and I know how to make text bigger, smaller, and all that neat stuff, if anyone needs help with that kind of thing.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?
Because Helping is fun. It gives you a sense of importance. (At least, for me), and I like the idea that I can help shape newer members into great and experienced members. I also like that I can help mid and older members become better at this game. I can also learn from it, as well. I really would like members get accustom to the site, and not shy away from it because of some little problem. I like to solve problems, and help people avoid them. In a way, you gain experience so it never happens to you. I also think it would be a nice way to be more experienced on this site, while bringing others with me on 'the path to success' We'll call it.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: 7 days a week, unless I'm particularly busy during that week.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: I spend approximately one hour on CS before school, and around two to three hours online in the evening, after school. On weekends, most of my day is devoted to being online, especially on CS.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required): One of my skills is prowling the forums and reporting anything that is rude or inappropriate, so I would be able to make a bigger impact if I became a general helper. I also speak a tiny bit of German but sadly I can only say some very simple sentences like 'He is eating an apple' but I'm learning more! I am also learning French in school. My main language is English, and I normally have proper grammar and spelling so everyone can understand me.

I like solving problems, and have been called a mini-mod many times. I really want to be able to resolve problems without getting in trouble from the owner of the thread. I like finding places to put humour into solutions when appropriate, however I know when to be serious. As well, I wouldn't consider myself a trade value expert but usually I can tell a unfair trade from a fair trade. I know my way around the majority of the oekaki tools, and try my best to answer questions from other users (particularly ones from newbies, but other members as well). I don't normally participate in peer mediation, however my class has had many 'peer mediation' circles where I have contributed my opinion on the situation and tried to help my peers realize their mistakes.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?: I really want CS to become an even more kind and welcoming place. Sure it's already a wonderful place to be around, but CS does have some bullies, and some people who are on here for the wrong reasons. I've never been Cyber-bullied on CS or any other sites, but I know a few people who have been and I know it's a horrible feeling. I want everyone to feeling happy and safe on CS, and I hope I can accomplish that along with Tess and Nick and all the other amazing staff. One thing that so many people say is that everyone makes mistakes, and I've always been told by teachers that mistakes are okay! 3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Everyday, actually. o.o At minimum, 6.

Honestly, this is the first site I check when I get on the computer. xD I can seriously spend, like, 3-5 hours on here, and often more depending on what's going on at the moment. It's where I spent basically all of my time on the computer as soon as I log on.

Do you consider yourself a trade-value expert? Do you already answer a lot of questions in the forum?) At the moment, I am studying Spanish, however I am not fluent in the least bit yet. I unfortunately do not have any history in peer mediation, however I often end up being a leader in groups, such as a political group in my school. When we were required to do a presentation, I had the opportunity to organize and answer questions about the project. I've also introduced many people too this website, and showed them what happens when you first join, how to post things, edit things, change their profile, ect.
6.Why do you want to be a General Helper? I think being a General Helper would be a great experience, considering I love to help people already. I've enjoyed ChickenSmoothie for quite a while now, and I know my way around here. ^^ When I first came here, I was pretty confused, but I remember how much the other General Helpers had helped me so much, and I want to be able to give back what they gave to me. ^^ Once I knew my way around, I was so much more confident, and had a lot more fun. I want other people to be able to get the same amount of joy out of this website that I do.

Generally, about seven or eight hours. I come online after school and keep CS on until I go to bed.

I tend to answer as many questions as I can in the Help and Suggestions forum category. I have also been on CS for almost two years now, and know how the site works fairly well. I am rather kind and calm, and have never received a warning for bullying, cheating, harassment, etc. I also trade fairly often, and am getting better at learning fairer trades with older Very Rare+ pets.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?:
Because I love to help new people around Chickensmoothie and want to make sure they have all their problems and solutions solved. I also tend to already answer a lot of questions in the forums already, and would love to be an official General Helper.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 7 days a week, I'm always logged in and visit everyday.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? In the summer I spend 10+ hours, probably, and during the school year probably 5-7+ hours even though I'm not as much as an avid forum poster as some people.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation? Do you consider yourself a trade-value expert? Do you already answer a lot of questions in the forum?) I was a staff member on a large roleplaying site of 200,000+ members called WCRPG. I was a Community Assistant, which is strikingly similar to the General Helper position, and then I was promoted to moderator. The positions weren't applied for, I was selected. So I have experience in dealing with people and I loved my job, but I had to step down for personal reasons but those have long since been dealt with.


I speak a bit of French, not much, but I am very interested in the language and am learning more every day. I could probably hold a basic conversation in French with someone who speaks the language.
I am not a rarity value expert, however, I do know quite a bit and am, like with French, learning more about rarities of the varied pets of this website. I know enough to make an educated guess post on the "Is This A Fair Trade?" thread, and though I am slightly rusty, I'm willing to catch up & review.
I know basic to moderately advanced CSS and a bit of HTML.
I am a calm person who can deal with confused and frustrated people without becoming frustrated myself. I never show annoyance through my tone, and I don't think I come off as intimidating. I try to be as pleasant as I can possibly be with everyone.

Why do you want to be a General Helper? I'm not going to lie, I like being part of the "staffing" part of the site, and I like helping people. I like the sense of community that a position like General Helper brings, and I'm not lying when I say that just helping new people navigate the site, or maybe helping answer a question about a glitch or a pet value makes me a little bit happier. Like I said, I've held similar positions on another large forum website, though it was mainly focused on roleplaying, rather than virtual pets with a bustling forum. c: I find work like this to be enjoyable and rewarding, and since I stepped down on other websites I have a lot of time on my hands and I'd love to spend it being a Chickensmoothie General Helper!

Also, I'm assuming you look through the possible nominees posts . . . and you'll notice a lack of me helping in the help forums. I'm so sorry! Like I said, I'm not an avid forum poster as I most often stalk rather than post as a bad habit, but I do love helping people! I'll try to start to make visiting and posting in the help forums a habit of mine! Plus, I get ninja'd every time I check. LOL. I do it a lot on the other forum I mentioned a few times, and I can link you to it! But yes, please don't assume the lack of posts there means I'm lying about helping people! I feel that I can bring the skill of patience to the position. I have a lot of patience with people when helping them. If they have a question I answer to the best of my ability and if they are still not understanding I am patient and will help them through their problem. Where I work (in Guest Service), I am always answering questions and helping others out even while they are frustrated, mad, and taking it out on me. I am quick to calm them and explain the problem and answer their questions.

I cannot consider myself a trade-value expert, but I know enough about it to know if something is unfair or not and understand rarities. I do try my best to answer any questions I bump into on the forum.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?
I want to be a General Helper, because I think it would be a great opportunity and it is a great place to start. Not only that, but I can help others more than I do now - not at my job, but online!

I applied a few months back for the moderator position and I realized that it was just a few steps ahead of where I should start. I am not going to say I am the best with knowledge on the site, but I do know quite a lot and I would love to help people out.

Helping others is not only my day job, but it is something I LOVE to do. I enjoy seeing people happy after I have answered their question or helped them with something. Sometimes, just by helping someone, you can make their day a lot better.
