Facts: Przewalski's horses are actually a sub species of Equus ferus, with them being Equus ferus przewalski and the domestic horse, as we know it, being Equus ferus caballus. This is due to the fact that, whilst bearing a phenotypic resemblance to their domestic cousins, Przewalski's horses have 66 chromosomes in their cells, compared to the 64 in all other living horse species. Foals from breeding these two together do result in fertile offspring, however, due to the odd number of chromosomes (65), future breedings have less chromosomes and show little resemblance to the Przewalski's horse.

They'd be fertile, but do you think they'd be at risk for genetic health issues, since they have a difference in chromosomes? :3 Just a thought. (I enjoy discussing genetics. XD)

Hmm, that could be possible. However crossing the Prezwalski horse with the Konik horse (or pony), in order to replicate the phenotype (appearance) of the now-extinct Tarpan breed, has proven a moderate success so far. I don't believe any genetic disorders have been found yet...

Though the problem most likely lies in that we need the Prezwalskis breeding with each other to stabilize their own population as opposed to cross breeding. XD
