Finned otters were created as a scientific experiment: Project River Wolf. The goal was to create a species that could be used to guard bodies of water in the same way people have guard dogs. This resulted in a species of otter that was physically similar to a sea otter, but had much of the mentality of a giant otter and was larger than both. Due to the variety of genes used they developed abnormalities including horns on males, razor-sharp dorsal fins, and odd pelt colours. The project was deemed a failure as the species retained their fun-loving spirit and ultimately failed in their guardian role.

Gender: Male

Bauble 1: A snowflake ornament!

Story 1: Roe got his first bauble when he was younger, it was during the holidays and it had been snowing all night, so the river was covered with ice, in the morning he woke up to see a small yellow sticky note sitting nearby. Surprised he leaned over to read it, it read:

come look near the river and you will find something special from me
it is small and delicate, so be careful not to break it
farewell and good bye, that is all

Roe stared at the little note, wondering who had left it for him, he yawned and slowly went towards the river, the ground was blanketed with snow and he approached the ice on the river. Forgetting that there was ice covering the water, he stepped on it, as if ready to swim, and instead slid face down across the river. Roe opened his eyes and blinked, there, right in front of his red nose was the tiny snowflake ornament. Roe tilted his head to get a better look at it, causing his antlers to touch the ice softly. Ever since then Roe has carried that ornament with him, on his horns. He never did find out who left that note for him though... must be a mystery for another day...


Bauble 2: A strange wooden ball

Story 2: Roe got this bauble shortly after he got his ornament, and it all started on a stormy afternoon.......
Roe quivered as he heard the thunder, he wasn't scared of much but he hadn't overcome his fear of thunder yet. Shivering he moved around, stunned. His fellow finned otter was there too. Polaris glanced over at Roe, and sighed, he nudged a small wooden ball towards his friend. "here" he said with a small smile. Roe stared up at him, and soon the two otters were playing, and Roe forgot all about the thunder. Finally, once the storm and thunder has past, they were still playing. "You can have it" Polaris said. And so, that's how Roe got his second little trinket.

Extra 1 - Personality: Roe is fun loving, rambunctious, and active. He isn't scared of anything ( but thunder is the one exception to that statement, but he won't admit it) He is somewhat stubborn, but he is very kind and caring. He likes his friends, the snow, red and green objects (his favorite colors are red and green as well) and the holiday season. He dislikes thunder and is hard to take seriously. He likes making other finned otters smile and likes swimming a lot.

If I won I'd want to have finned otter #H1, he's adorable. Good luck to all, and to all a good night!

So it seems you've stumbled across some reind... er... finned otters!

Yes, there are three of them here. This boy is up for adoption, and the other two are "runner ups". Not regular runner ups, though! Whoever wins will get to choose which of the three they want!

All three reindeer will have baubles (two each), so the baubles in your form will be added to your individual reindeer if you win.

Name: Gabriel
Gender: Male
Bauble 1: The first bauble is a small golden angel figurine with clear glass wings and a silver halo.
Story 1: It was Christmas eve, the snowflakes dancing through the sky around him. Gabriel was headed back to his den on the edge of a lake deep within the wood. A few smaller trees were decorated in a nice, simple way for the holiday the next day. As he drew closer to the lake, he noticed something was off. One of the first trees that had been decorated that holiday season was no longer there. It had been bigger than the others, a group effort by most of the creatures that lived within the forest. The owls and select few songbirds that hadn't migrated south had decorated the highest branches, the deer and an odd moose or two the middle, and smaller mammals like himself the lowest branches of all.
Where the tree should have been was a stump, surrounded by crumpled or flat out destroyed decorations. His heart ached for the tree, for it had been so beautifully decorated only to be cut down. Saddened, he turned away from the stump and began to make his way to the lake through the growing snowstorm. Something gleaming among the snow made him pause and turn back, however. Moving toward the object half-buried in the snow, he began to carefully move the fluffy snow with his tail. Slowly, he uncovered what looked like gold with a ring of silver around the top. Gently, he picked it up to reveal a golden angel figurine with stunning glass wings that were as clear as crystal and a delicately formed silver halo.

To this day, Gabriel still keeps the angel as a reminder of the glorious tree that had been destroyed on Christmas Eve Night.
Bauble 2: The second bauble is a delicately formed silver blossom with a rare, natural pink pearl in the center.
Story 2: The second bauble is one Gabriel crafted himself. It was originally going to be a Christmas present for his sister, but she disappeared before he could give it to her. He hasn't seen her since they were young, and so he kept the small flower with him at all times should he run into her by chance.
Extras: Just as a note, If I win I would like to have the female. Her name would be Gabriella, and only the second story for the bauble would be altered.

I have a question, though. If I were to win, does that mean I could choose the female if I wanted to or would I have this one?

Bauble 1: A silmple little green ornament
Story 1: Bear was walking in the snow covered forest with footprints and severed trees. Every they came, the humans. they came and took the trees just to watch them wither and die. But as he walked he noticed something in the snow, there was one of those 'christmas' ornaments. It was the green of the trees. He picked it up and put it on the little holy tree that nobody wanted. It bent at the slightest weight, so he quickly took it off and noticed his antlers, the surely won't bend. He put it on his antler and proised the tree that when it was older the ornament would be theirs. The next day somebody cut it down...
Bauble 2: A little branch of holy left over from the little tree
Story 2: The next day he was walking through the woods again and he noticed the severed tree. He was horrified, the holy was sacred to the otters and the human had cut it down. He flared his finns and let out a growl, that is when he noticed the little bit of holy left from the tree almost as a gift. He has kept it ever since
Extras:the finned otters of the snowy forest had holy as their symbol of love and kindness so the were never alowed to do any harm to the bushes and trees. And to think that a human would come and rip it out of the groung was a crime.
