"Of course." He said and kissed her back, pulling her closer.

She pulled back and looked him in the eyes. "Promise?", she said.

I step into the wrecked library and stare at my father. Scruffy hair, red face and sweaty. "Oh hello dear!" He laughed hysterically as he saw me standing in the doorway "There's my little angel! Made any new friends?" He joked as he somehow walked over to me without tripping over any books. I shook my head frantically and ran out of the house and off back to where I was sitting, running past people on the way. I collapsed under the tree crying, hugging myself for comfort as I hoped he didn't follow.

"I just can't, for now, sure but I can't promise forever." Shade said sadly.
