I've got pocket edition only too, but honestly it's still pretty cool. How do you mine and collect the redstone? it never gave any to me after i mined a block...

Since redstone dust is not in the game yet, no matter what, you can't collect Redstone. I wish you could, though. It's been the only thing I've come across right now e.e (Other than Iron and Coal, of course)

It's supposed to be in the next planned update, along with rails and such, but I'm not sure what the date on that is.
