Tvetyals are a unique species of dragon-like mammals, the closest modern animal approximation being a big canine with the behavior of a puffin. They come in a large variety of sizes, with the smallest about the size of a medium dog and the largest closer to the size of horses. Tvetyals are pack animals, and typically live in family units called bevies, which range in population from 7 to up to 40. Tvetyals can sport many different traits, but the most prominent is the heterochromic eyes that all Tvets possess. Some traits are more rare than others, and on ocassion, it is said that a Tvetyal may even be born with wings. Notably, Tvetyals are separated into two primary groups: Wild and Domestic. As the names may suggest, Wild Tvets are generally not receptive to humans and cannot be ridden. With enough work, a Wild Tvetyal can become Domestic, at which point they can be lifelong companions.

Favorite place to swim: This underground beach.
Why?: It's rather secluded and not many people dare venture into it. This is a place of solace for her, a place to think. She really appreciates it due to every day life being so hectic.

Favorite place to swim: Anywhere there's water. Seriously, i watched him try to swim in mud once.
Why?: Ever since he was a tiny tvet, water was somewhere nearby. It rained all the time where he lived, so if there weren't an abundance of puddles, the rain was coming down in sheets, so thick you could see your snout and that's it. And in the rare years where rain was scarce, a quick hike down to the beach would quench your thirst. To King, if it's water, it's paradise.

Favorite place to swim:
Kaleo prefers to swim in tropical salt water rather than fresh. He's not picky when it comes to location, but his most frequent swimming site looks an awful lot like this. It's quite a trek to reach the area, but the hidden coves make for a nice, secluded paradise.

Why?:
Kaleo is reserved and often remains solitary (besides the members of his bevy), and a sheltered, beautiful place where he can be on his own is just his cup of tea. Not to mention- endless exploring!

Favorite place to swim: In a little kiddie pool that he can barely fit in. He kind of just likes to huddle in there, somewhat in the same position as a horse or a deer trying to sleep. Sometimes, he even does this.
Why?: He really can't handle the ocean all that well since he nearly drowned in it recently due to him eating way too much. He had cramps and so can't really tolerate the thought of going into the ocean again even after starving himself for a day in advance. The most he can stomach is a little wade down in the lagoon, but he's petrified of going any deeper than three feet. While he used to be a good swimmer, full of endurance and energy, he's content "swimming" (which involves him kind of moving his limbs really languidly) in his little kiddie pool.

Favorite place to swim: The ocean, where you can swim on forever into the waves. He prefers saltwater, weirdly, over fresh water.
Why?: He likes the endless waves that flow again and again over and over and saltwater - he loves it! Caspian says as always, "Go with the flow!" He feels more relaxed in salt water for some reason, stating that it cleanses him from all the filth. Water, in other words, is his life. Without it, he would be nothing.

Sun Shore. This Tyvetyal immedietely reminded me of the setting sun over the sea shore, hence the name, Sun Shore.

Female. Something about this Tvetyal makes my opinion of her be female.

text Sun Shore absolutely adores swimming in a small lake, very unknown to most. It is dirty, unkempt, filled with greenery, and pure brown. But that's what she likes. Sun Shore enjoys this small lake because she is an environmentalist, and loves the feeling of the earth flowing beneath her, above her, around her, like life really should be. Because of it's isolation to humans, Sun Shore can go there without worrying about being watched by any other humans besides Vintage, allowing herself one moment of privacy.

Favorite place to swim: In a warm and shallow cove lined with sunkissed sand and surrounded by thick forest. Example;

Why?: In such a place there are a great many medium sized fishes which dart between beams of sunlight in such a fashion as to light up the water with streaks of silver that dazzle and delight even the most dull of tvetyal. Being as she is not any dull sort of beast, Calypso finds in this beautiful show an opportunity to prove her own worth, or perhaps to simply to entertain the mind, or fill the belly. These silvery fishes that love such a sunlit cove are agile creatures, and catching them (and thus devouring them) is a great difficulty, and naturally a great triumph. Though one can not tell by watching her if it is for glory, or joy, or wonder, or hunger it is clearly a very important activity to Calypso, and is a task she preforms with ritual-like timing and coordination each and every day. It is also an added bonus that the water is warm and wonderful on the young tvetyal's skin, and that the sun dancing in the water makes for a relaxing swim on any occasion.

Favorite place to swim:
Caspian loves warm water, like that of the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Costa Rican coast.
Why?:
Caspian cannot stand cold water when swimming. He will swim in any water, but the warmer it is, the happier he gets. He loves lazily paddling through the waters, enjoying the way the water does not make him shiver. He has always moved faster in warmer water, and is more compelled to succeed at competitions when the water is enjoyable. Growing up in a warm coastal climate, he adored the water temperature. It has stuck with him ever since.
