"Good morning!" Amberfeather mewed cheerfully, seeing her risen mate padding next to her, leaving a set of matching pawprints in the snow. "Did you sleep well?"

"Good." Nightshade purred. "Did you?"

"Yes," Amberfeather mewed quietly, snow blowing into her fur. "StarClan has blessed me with good dreams, they've all included you."

Nightshade purred deeply and licked Amberfeather's muzzle affectionately. "All of mine have included you, as well." he whispered into her ear softly.

Flashfrost-
"Ahem," the warrior fake coughed, trying to get the clan deputy's attention. "Excuse me Amberfeather, but do you need me on any patrols?"
Amberfeather-
Amberfeather jolted straight up, startled by Flashfrost's sudden entrance.His pelt's color matched the snow, so he could have been sitting there for an hour without her noticing him. Blushing, she turned to the warrior. "Uh, yes. You can lead a hunting patrol. Pick some other cats to go with you. It's leaf-bare, so there won't be much prey, so try your best."

Nightshade, amused at her actions laughed and nodded at Flashfrost. Then he nuzzled his mate, "Good timing." he purred.

Amberfeather-
"Yes, just perfect," she mewed sarcastically, annoyed at the white tom. "At least he's gone now. We can probably get by without doing too much work for a while yet."

"In that case.. come with me." Nightshade mewed, an idea sparking in his head. He bounded away out of the clearing and into the forest with Amberfeather following him.

"Nightshade!" Amberfeather called, chasing after him. "Where are we going!?" She panted, trying to keep up with the tom.
