There are probably more reasons that I know about but I think one of the biggest ones is that the most recent ones have only been released once - whereas older ones have been rereleased several times. This doesn't apply for the oldest URs though - the 08 UR cat, UR BW, and banana are all higher than the most recent ones. :) Tru explained why once but I can't remember exactly what she said - I think it was something along the lines that even though they have been around for more rereleases the ones from the first couple of releases are mostly locked away in collections or on accounts that are no longer in use. You might want to check with her or someone else who was around more in that time though - I'm blanking a little lol.

Plus some of the new URs are just rarer. The UR ice cat is one of the lowest URs on the list because so many were released that they're kind of everywhere. I mean half the time I find a user who has one they have two or even three - not just one at all lol.

Yeah, it really depends on which URs you're talking about because of the multiple factors involved. Kyar touched upon a couple here that certainly apply. The URs from more recent years in a sense have been released on fewer "occasions", but you have to account for the fact that over the years the CS population has grown, which in a way creates more opportunities for UR releases as well (we of course don't know the adoption rates for the different URs but hopefully you get what I mean). And yeah there are definitely many CS players who have quit or gone on hiatus with some valuable pets on their accounts (not limited to just URs either), so that takes away from some of the "available" older URs. Then of course there's the rarity of the UR releases themselves. The Tiger for instance was quite a rare outcome to get back in 2010, and you could also tell just how rare it was just from the fact that it went OMGSR as quickly as it did and didn't drop to Very Rare status (as you might observe with some other pets, especially those that go OMGSR not too long before the yearly advent adoptions). The Tiger remains an incredibly rare adopt, and that combined with the fact that significant hoards (along with those collecting pets for their personal collections) can take away from the number available for potential trading plays a role in how high some newer URs are valued compared to others. I'm also not quite sure exactly how much of an impact this plays because I don't know the relative adoption rates for URs from different years relative to one another, but I also like to look at the number of URs released in a particular year. 2011 provided us with the Cucumber and the Lion only, 2 adopts, whereas you'll notice that 2012 had 3 and 2010 had 4. Depending on adoption rates, it's possible that with fewer unique URs released, it's harder to find them on the whole as well, which can contribute to the value of some relative to older ones. On the whole, this isn't to say that the older URs aren't that valuable; they remain very valuable and difficult to attain (which you can probably tell by the relative of the 2008 ones for example compared to the 2009 ones or newer ones like the Malk for instance).

I think that the UR Tiger Dog should be above the Sunjewel, and the Sunjewel should be below the Tiger dog. The only reason I'm saying this is because people expect a lot more for the Tiger dog, and not as much for the Sunjewel. I don't know if that is mainly based on demand, or what person you are trading, but I noticed it a couple of days ago while talking to someone with the Tiger Dog. For a Tiger Dog the amount of c$ it is averaged at is 1,800, same with the Sunjewel. Yet, people will accept 1,800-2,000 c$, but for the Tiger Dog most people expect and get 4,000-5,000 c$.

Could someone maybe explain as why the Sunjewel is not getting as fair trades as the Tiger dog?
