hey guys, a few questions if i may~

first of all, how do i paint buckram so that it wont get stuck in the holes and make it hard to see? im struggling with that xP

also, i asked a few days ago for critiques on my foam head, so here it is! i know it probably looks horrid to a lot of you, but im looking to improve it. if you have anything you think i should add, shape more, remove, anything like that, please let me know. this is my first suit and i really want it to look good. and yes, she is supposed to look sorta angry x3

thanks guys! ;u;

    Ugh for 3 months my mom said LETS GO TO ANTHROCON ALL 4 DAYS NEXT YEAR. Then she sees its over the fourth so now I can only go the last 2...ugh. Last 4th I had to go to my brothers ren fest in the blazing sun for 12 hours, but I ask for this and she shoots it down like an enemy plane..

Nice head sculpt! However, the muzzle is extremely bumpy. Since it is an area that often gets covered with shaved-down fur, the bumps will be very noticeable. Try to smooth them down as much as you can.

You have EXCELLENT ears! They have the perfect depth to them. In fact, you could even plausibly put in extra ventilation holes at the base of each ear! I know a couple of suit makers who do that.

The dent in the forehead will show up with certain furring techniques, try to fill it in maybe? Perhaps reduce the forehead height as well.

Your face shape in general looks excellent, very expressive. Good cheeks too!

Shave off that tiny nose (?) at the front, the nose will be a separate part added on later. This makes it easier to fur that area.

Where is your bottom jaw? I can't see it from this angle.

Are you going to be wearing a balaclava underneath? Foam right against skin may get damaged, uncomfortable, or smelly.

Overall, excellent foaming! Great sculpt. This will be a wonderful suit.

As for the buckram question, I don't paint it. I use prismacolor markers or copic markers!

Thank you so much ;u; This is super helpful. As for the bottom jaw, I haven't attached it yet. It's on my balaclava that I'll be wearing underneath, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to glue it in so it's at the correct angle and such. I wasn't planning on using balaclava, but I decided to last minute, after I already began my foaming, so xP

I'll work on smoothing the muzzle and filling in the forehead and the nose and stuff. I was planning on putting a vinyl nose there, but I haven't actually looked into how to do that, so thank you for that as well.

And awesome, I'll have to look into those markers ;u;

Thank you again, really. It would probably come out horrid without help from you guys aha <3

You're very welcome! As for the bottom jaw, put the balaclava on, and mark with a marker where your chin is. You want the bottom jaw to rest right on your chin! I hot-glued mine, and it's a semi-moving mouth. Or, you can look up how to make a moving one, and use mesh/wires and all that. Here's where my jaw rested when I was first starting to sculpt my head.

It would be interesting to have a fursuit of Scourge.
