"I missed you mommy!" Darkkit said happily. He looked at Specklepelt's head with unseeing eyes.

Specklepelt frowned but chuckled. " What? I only left you with your littermates for a few minutes and you already miss me? " she purred gently resting him in front of her chest. " Well I'll say I missed all of you. " she purred cuddling with Owlkit and Darkkit.

Cloudwater padded back into camp, her tail swaying behind her. The shecat dropped her fresh kill onto the fresh kill pile and padded over to a tree. She padded into the shade and laid down, resting her head onto her paws and watching the camp.

Specklepelt purred. " Owlkit, would you do me a favor. Can you ask Cloudwater to come over here. " she mewed. Owlkit nodded and waddled toward the she-cat. " Cloudwater! My mommy wants you to go chat wit her! " she squeaked.

Cloudwater smiled and stood up. "Thanks Owlkit." She said with a soft smile and padded over towards Specklepelt. "You wanted me?" She asked, sitting by her.

Specklepelt smiled. " I've heard the news. " she purred flicked her tail towards a spot next to her. She then nudged Darkkit away. " Why don't you play with Owlkit? I'll watch. " she purred.

Cloudwater smiled. "What news?" She meowed, a hint of joke in her tone. Of course she knew the news.

Specklepelt rolled her eyes. " You! Having kits! " she mewed. " Have you lost your mind? " she teased. " Hazestep has been becoming such a softie since when he was a kit. Now he plays with all the kits. " she giggled.

Cloudwater chucked lightly. "Of course I know!" She meowed, then nodded in agreement.
