Luke suddenly appeared at the top of the cliff and jumped down, laughing happily with his tail wagging madly. He was trying to get to Yara but he didn't realise how far down the drop was...
Koji looked away from Rako, obviously unable to answer him. She took the end of the knife in her mouth and pulled as hard as she could, but it still wouldn't come out. She stood up and started walking off again, but the pain became too much and she had to stop.

Maine shook with anger. She charged and bit Karrie's leg. "Barti wanted Shade gone! Yuki loved him, and he killed himself because you jerks made it look like it was his fault! Some alpha you are!" Maine snapped, sensing that Barti had been lying about being okay with Shade being mates with Yuki.
