Ruth yawned a huge yawn, using her hands to push herself up from her curled position as dawn creeped over the forest. She groaned, running a hand through her fire-colored hair, and crawled into a sitting position a few feet from still-sleeping Wodahs. She hated early mornings. She straightened her clothes and rubbed sleep out of her eyes. The memories were still fresh. She felt hollow inside, and decided to go for a morning run. That would clear her head. She grabbed her stuff, changed into a wolf, and set it at the edge of the trees. Then she took of towards the rising sun. She whipped over crumpled leaves, and a few minutes later bounded onto a huge rock where she could see the forest. Ahhh. it was beautiful here. She let out a long, slightly mournful howl, and felt pride rise into her chest. She was wild, and free from all of Death's powers.

Wodahs woke up in the moring and saw Ruth wasn't there. "Must have went for a jog or something. Maby I'll get to relax for once." he said shifing into a wolf. Then he sensed the presence from the night be for. "Or maby not.."

Evolia pricked her ears, listening to the sounds of her companions far off awaking. A small lump of dread stumped her throat, but she turned and trotted silently back to the camp grounds. Upon her arrival, she noticed Wodahs was the only one there and hesitaited on pushing the shrubs aside. As she did, she kept her gaze low, avoiding eye contact, and made way to the pool to take another drink and keep awake.

Ruth was very thirsty. She decided to go back to camp to have a drink. Her mouth was dry and tasted foul. She sprang off the rock and ran back to camp, her heart feeling much lighter. She stopped long enough to catch a large deer, muttering a prayer to keep death at bay, and trotted through the ferns into camp. "Morning sleepyhead!" she called to Wodahs cheerily, and dropped the deer at Evolia's paws, then bent her head to take a long slurp of water. She sighed and shifted back into a human, stretching her arm to the sky and stifling another huge yawn with her other hand. She retrieved her things, then pulled on the fur coat she had been slowly stitching together that was finally ready. She pulled it over her tattered clothing, and stood at Evolia's side, looking at her reflection in the water, at the rippling faces of her companion and her. She smiled, then turned to Evolia. "What next?" she asked, begining to tear into the deer.

Evolia bowed her muzzle a little shyly. What was to be done? She wasn't sure.
"Do you know when the next full moon is, Ruth?" She asked, slightly dazed. She had forgotten to watch the moon for a while, "Something has to be done by then."

Ruth thought for a moment, swallowed her bite of meat, and said, "I think it's in a few days. Three, if I'm correct. Aren't you ever going to shift into a human?" This last part was asked hesitantly, for she did not want Evolia to be upset or angry at her. She offered Evolia to deer.
