Shadow remained asleep for a little longer than Tempest had, but he did stir after a while. The shadows in the den shifted as he stirred, ears flicking, which was followed by his head lifting. He kept his silver eyes closed for a moment, before opening them. The sun wasn't very high up, and with it's current position, it didn't shine very much into the den, meaning that the alpha's eyes didn't have to adjust too much before he could see properly. His gaze shifted to the pale-pelted fae at his side as he said, "Good morning, Tempest,"

Cass wasn't fond of mornings, even if they comforted him, because he liked the light that came with it. He rose from his den shortly after dawn, earlier than most other wolves would have risen. The golden wolf couldn't help himself -- he was nervous for the trip and that he would face his family again. He paced just outside his den, both to help wake him up and to help relieve his nerves with any form of activity. Finding that simply pacing did not help, the Scout unfurled his wings and shot into the air.

Tempest turns her head, and flicks her ears. The pale-pelted fae is working on what to say, of course the first words to leave her mouth arnt too bad of a start. "Good morning Shadow." she tells him, eyes on the outside world. On her paws, on the den ceiling. Anywhere than to her polar opposite. And mate.. sorta. The fact that she is thinking is writ all over her, and that she has been thinking as well. She yawns and after a minute speaks what he can probably guess. "So...I've been...thinking..." she begins.

Shadow dipped his head to her slightly as he shifted his position, so that he was more lounging than he actually is lying down, his silver gaze shifting to the dirt just outside his den. He waited for her to speak, as he had had a feeling that she had something more to say other than 'good morning'. When she began to speak, his ears tilted toward her, and he responded with an easy, "Yes?" as encouragement for her to continue.

{( To be honest, I'm half tempted to have Rage attack Cass [in the air] and have them both end up falling/landing near Shadow's denning area. )}

(And then they would have to put the trip off a month so when they leave Tempest is heavy with pups ^^ - i'm for it)

Tempest feels her ears burn, "Well...It will be winter soon...so...if we...you know...now...then we'd have pups in the spring...summer is too late in the year...and the trip..." she stutters out. She can't believe that she gets it out when she does get it out. It wasnt Hard exactly... just taxing. Terrifying. Embaressing. "So..."

Shadow turns his gaze to Tempest as she spoke. He could tell that she was embarrassed, anyone would be, especially being the one to bring up the topic first. At first, the dark-furred brute is too surprised to say anything, and he lay in silence for a long moment -- it seemed longer than it actually was -- before he spoke, and even then, it wasn't anything more than an, "Oh," and he had to look away in order to compose himself to form proper sentences. "Well," he began again, ears burning, "You do have a point....." his tail swished back behind himself, "If, uh. If you want, I suppose we.. uh, could..." he was surprised to hear himself actually stammer. Shadow hardly ever stammered. Apparently this was one of the cases that he did.

Mates a day. Ulgh. Tempests ears pinned at his silence and then are glued to her head at what she feels is reluctance comming from him - not embaressment. She resists the urge to burry her nose in her paws or run and wishes Cassiel was there. She forces her ears into their propper positions, "Well I just thought...and then...we dont...we could ... nows the best time.." she stares furiously at her paws. Of course, she had wanted to say 'Well, I just thought now would be the best time...it is the Season and we could. It would be best for pups. We dont have too, I get that (wanting to scream at him that of Course she isnt sure - but doesnt) I mean..I'm not sure I'm ready but the packs will fight the Joining...' but she doesnt get any of that out. Only her detached mutter.

Shadow curled his tail, ears still burning. He was a bit reluctant -- Tempest had been absolutely furious with him the previous night, even if she had come to him and then stayed in the den. The alpha looked down at his paws, listening to her as she spoke. She had a point. Now would be the best time, even if the two of them had only just become mates, and not even for an entire day yet. He opened his maw to respond, to say that she was right, but his words were cut off as he abruptly heard a startled yelp and a snarl, and then a loud thud as something hit the ground. Rustling of feathers, and snarls. From two different wolves. Wolves? The only wolves near his den were Tempest, Fire, and himself. So who... One of the growls was vaguely familiar, and he decided that it was the strange golden winged wolf that Storm had brought back from Moon Ledge a while back. The alpha pushed himself to all four paws, looking down to Tempest as he said, "You're right, but we'd better see what this is about."

Cassiel hadn't been expecting it. His eyes had been closed and he'd been gliding through the air to calm himself. Something hit him, and he yelped -- an embarrassingly loud yelp -- and then he was plummeting to the earth with something on top of him. As soon as he hit the ground, he felt a sharp pain in his wing -- it wasn't broken, he knew that, but it would be a while before he'd be able to fly properly again -- and he kicked whoever it was that was on him off, rolling to his paws, shifting his wings against him and giving a feral snarl. The creature that had him him was a wolf. A small wolf, a black and white one, whose eyes had no iris or pupil, simply a solid white. They snarled back and lunged at him, obviously intending to injure him in some manner.

She Was right. He'd said so. And it wouldnt be so bad to have pups with him.Tempest ducks out of the den and immidiately spots the interloper. And her best friend. Cassiel. "Cass.." she whispers and then focuses, pulling the other off of him with her gift and an angry snarl. Of course she could have simply attacked the other, but with current going's on she didnt want to risk injury if she was to bear pups. Abruptly, she drops the other a bit away from Cassiel. "Are you ok Cass?" she asks padding to his side quickly.

Rage felt himself pulled sharply off of the golden wolf, and the instant he was back on his paws, he shifted to his human form, splaying his fingers across the dirt under his hands. He heard the golden wolf speak to the pale wolf that had asked him a question. "No," his answer was curt, almost rude, and obviously pained. The golden wolf glowered at the now-human-wolf whose pure white gaze was trained on him both angrily and intention. "Hold him down." he said, in Lupine. Cass's gaze snapped to the ground under his paws as it softened abruptly, forcing him to sink down into it, and vines strapping themselves across his back, under his wings. He would have flown, except for when he had spread his wings to do just that, a sharp pain in his right one forced him to surrender and allow himself to be held by the earth. The human-wolf-deer-shifter turned his snowy gae unto the pair of wolves, idly wrappig his arms across himself and holding his own waist, knowing that he looked particularly weak. "He was in my way," stated the feminine-sounding and looking wolf shifter, the dark portion of his hair shadowing his tanned face. Cass was growling inredibly rude things at the shifter, who blatantly ignored him in favor of eyeing the black alpha and the mostly white fae a little ways in front of him.

"I dont care." Tempest snaps at the other, "You are on pack lands and I am asking you to leave, unless you are looking to join." a vine twists around one paw but she shakes it off, pale ears flick as she waits for a responce. The pale fae waits, not particularly in the mood to be nice, but rather, all her anger from the last day and a half boiling in green eyes, ready to fight. "And let Cassiel go." she barks at the other. Hoping its ok with Shadow. Oh well,if it isnt.
