I have a suspicion that this is unfair to top - please tell me if it is!

Unfair to you - the lion isn't even worth an 10 rare. :) It's just the fact that people try to jack up its value by claiming "demand!" that might make it seem like it's unfair to them. It's really not though.

This trade is unfair to you.
As far as the PPS lion trade goes I don't see anything in that specific offer that would be able to make it fair to both sides. The closest thing would be the rare 10 pony but that would be a bit unfair to you.
