Hino smiled, conveying it as a gentle emotion. She was a softer being than most legends would claim her to be, kind and warm, more like a hearth fire than the blazing inferno of so many fantasized phoenixes. At the moment at least. Fire, after all, came in many a form. She withdrew rather suddenly, feeling the subconscious mental call. Happiness flooded her as it always did when someone thought of her so strongly, and a bit of her loneliness faded for a time as she basked in the glory of being thought of. The simple pleasures of an ageless phoenix. Gently she touched Jake's mind, tenderly prodding at the rock solid resistance. The wall shifted and Jake's mind pulled her in, like an embrace, warming Hino's cockles. Whatever that meant.
~Jake smirked, a surprisingly happy expression, as Hino joined her. It lasted only a moment, little more than a breath of time, but it was enough. "Hino agreed to it," she said and grinned wolfishly at him. "I don't know how she does it--but I'm sure she'll be happy to share. Now let us go appease the human lest she implode, as amusing at that would be to watch." She paused and abruptly scowled. "Damn. Started talkin like that ag'n." She huffed and shook her head. Proper English was bad for her image. Sadly, that was in fact the main reason for her out-of-place speech pattern. She looked like a punk but sounded like an English professor. This school was totally ruining her. Hino wasn't helping either, and she was ruining her toughness-image too; she felt too warm-and-fuzzy(or her approximation of warm-and-fuzzy) towards the phoenix to be suitably "badass". But she didn't mind since it was Hino.
Really, how did anyone take her seriously anymore? Maybe she'd rip someone's head off--literally--so they'd know who they were messing with. Someone tough. Maybe an ogre. She hadn't killed an ogre in a while.

((I didn't notice that you guys replied. Must resurrect rolepaly now!))
Laila looked Leonard in the eyes looking for some kind of reason to not trust him. Looking for even the smallest sign of danger. So far she found nothing too threatening, but she of all people knew looks can be deceiving. She figured she could trust him for now, but still kept her guard up. "A test would not be necessary. Just don't trick us or prove to be distrusting and you shall be fine," Laila said smoothly with a small smile. The cold air to her was still there, but she seemed to have warmed up the slightest of bit. It seems that Jake and her friend trust him, so shall too for now.
She smiled at the idea of the human teacher imploding. She doubted anyone would mind of that were to happen. It would actually be quite amusing. "So the library it is. The dorms would be safer but, as you said earlier, the gender differences would be a problem. I would rather us speak in person than through messengers," she said calmly. Laila then looked over at the kelpie. How she and that phoenix communicated was still a mystery to the nix. Though they do obviously have a strong friendship. She then looked over to the classroom through the window at the door.
Laila had noticed that the female wizard has returned to the classroom after meeting with that headmaster. She remembered meeting the wizard earlier and her pleasant bird as well. What really made her curious was what happened between the wizard and the headmaster. The nix could feel that there was something not right about the headmaster, a sort of evil to him as she has said earlier. Though she had also noticed the spiders coming off of the wizard. Laila payed no attention to that and looked back at Leonard and Jake.
"It seems the class is almost over and we are not too missed I'm guessing. But sure, lets humor her and return. I'm guessing she sent you to find us?" Laila asked. She knew the teacher is clearly not pleased with them leaving on free will. Though she could care less on what that human would think.

((Back I am!:D Sorta... I fail at getting online.>_>'))
Leonard's smirk nearly mirrored that of the girls', but his eyes were grim, something he knew they would not miss. "Yes, she did send me out. This teacher is a fool, and the idea of her imploding would please the staff as much as us. She does nothing but shriek and yell, I have no idea why she works here." He kept his voice at a whisper, knowing how likely it was someone inside the classroom would be able to hear him if they tried hard enough. "Her class is almost a break for those of us who are accustomed to this place. The others are not quite so lenient, as I'm sure any of my peers would happily tell you. But, that can wait until later, for now we should get inside." Not waiting for them to follow him, not out of rudeness but because it would seem far too friendly for the liking of that awful woman, he turned on his heel and briskly returned to the classroom, making sure to give the teacher a pleasant-but not without a mix of the fear she liked so much- conspiratorial smile that she answered with a relieved grin. Too many mess-ups may get her fired, and the teachers were more afraid of the headmaster than most students were.
Haley glanced up as slightly as she dared, her sharp eyes flying from Leonard, to the two girls outside the room, and at last to Vaan. The water spirit looked grim, but satisfied. Apparently he had heard, or sensed in Leonard's manner, something of what had gone on outside, just as she had. Neither of them were part of Leonard's rebellion, her out of fear and him out of skepticism, but it seemed these two might actually be willing to join. If they did... they seemed strong, and maybe they would stand at last some chance of escaping Mythic Dawn at last. Haley perked up at the thought, though she did her best to hide it, and attempted to make eye contact with one of the girls... what was her name, Laila? She was hoping for some sign that something other than orders to return had passed between the trio outside.

Jake nodded. "I look forward to meeting a teacher who does more than make my skin crawl," she murmured with a snort. She frowned, tilting her head and adopting a look as if she were listening to something--Hino was talking to her. A fleeting smile came and went in Jake's expression and she turned back to those not inside her head without explanation. What Hino whispered into her mind was not something she intended to share.
She waited until Laila made her way inside before tailing them, putting a decent distance between them; she didn't want to make it obvious that she and Laila had talked since they'd been fighting before. She made a beeline straight for her desk without looking around, although she touched Hino's shoulder as she passed. Hino smiled up at her then glanced down to see Mugi skittering up her leg.
"Around you, nothing is boring," he muttered as he dropped into her lap, cuddling when she petted him gently. He closed his eyes with a soot-scented, contented sigh as she scratched him where she knew he liked it best, where his skin liked to dry out and flake.
{{ Nngh. It's short. >< I'm drawin a blank on these two(/three) since it's been a while~ }}

Laila could see that Leonard's eyes turned grim before he spoke. It puzzled her a tad bit, but she did not pay much attention to that. "Really? I thought every teacher is like this. Only someone insane would work here," Laila said with a shrug. She had then followed Leonard into the classroom keeping some distance from him and Jake. She figured that if they all kept some distance, no one would suspect anything. She gave no attention to the teacher as she made it to her seat.
Laila, on her way to her seat, noticed that a girl, Haley was it, was trying to make eye contact with her. She figured that Haley probably thought something else other than being forced to return occurred during their absence. Obviously since Leonard mentioned her when they were outside she had some knowledge of his rebellion. From the look in her eyes Laila guessed she was wondering if something happened when they all left the classroom. Before returning any kind of reply, she searched Haley's eyes for any signs to trust her. Laila then gave subtle nod so no one else would notice.

((SOUL EATER ICON!!!! *Soazzes* Sorry, I saw Kid in your signature. I love him!Here, let's just end this class now...))
Haley felt her heart leap excitedly with the realization that this girl, Laila, seemed to have been recruited into Leonard's forces. If she was a part of things chances were that the other one was too, since they had all been out there together. The two girls looked strong, definitely useful additions to their cause. If they were lucky it seemed soon somebody might manage to defeat Kastor's wretched system and escape; or, though it would take a miracle, maybe even bring down Mythic Dawn. Luckily the bell rang then, wiping away any chance that the teacher might sense something odd in Haley's demeanor. Deciding she needed to confirm things for herself she packed up her pathetically bare notebook and other useless school supplies, shoving back her chair with an awkwardly loud scraping noise before leaping to her feet. Like many of the other students the werewolf hurried out of the room as quickly as she could, stopping only briefly to flash a smile of affirmation at Vaan, who seemed both grim and satisfied when he returned the look.
Leonard was as anxious as anybody else to get outside the classroom-especially with such a short period of time available for speaking in the library- but as always he forced himself to take his time getting ready. He had never been afraid of the teachers back when he was willing to betray the students constantly, and if he began to show his recently obtained anxiety they would definitely notice, and his entire rebellion would collapse.

{{ I keep trying to call Hino Hiro. XD }}
Jake stood casually, tucking her things back into the shoulder bag, gaze on Hino. The phoenix put her own books away--and promptly had her bag stolen by Jake. She shouldered the bags and smiled down at Hino's confused expression.
"I could carry it," Hino murmured as she stood, sounding sulky. Jake's smile widened.
"You know where the library is, right Hi?" she murmured, settling a hand on her shoulder and leading her out the door. Hino nodded. Of course she knew where the library was--and so did Jake for that matter, but she didn't say anything. Jake always had her reason. She looked curiously up at Jake, feeling the kelpie's excitement like an electrical current. Someone had revived Jake. Hino would have to thank them later.
"Oh! Are we going to--"
Jake interrupted her with a grin. "Yes Hino. Don't get us killed with your big mouth though please." Hino bobbed her head, beaming. So it was those two who had put that gleam in Jake's eyes--a rather scary gleam, but it gentled for Hino so she wasn't worried. If Jake still saw her as a friend then she wasn't going to go on a random killing spree. Maybe she'd still go on a killing spree, but it wouldn't be random at least.
The slipped into the library, silent as ghosts and with an expression of someone with something on their mind--as Jake had said before, people were less likely to interrupt those who looked like they were busy. If they looked like they were running an errand, it was easy to dismiss them entirely. To forget they'd even come by.
"There's a section on sea life in the back--it's hard to see from most angles," Hino whispered. Jake nodded and strode off in the indicated direction. Her thoughts drifted briefly as she thought of the sea. Maybe after this she'd go live in the ocean, relax in the waves. Salt water had never been her thing, but maybe she could get used to it. It would make disappearing in a flash easier, and Hino would enjoy the beach and crabs and such. Yes, maybe they'd head south, find some sunny island near the equator, and relax for a few centuries. It was a lovely image.
First you have to go see Ireland again though, Jake, Hino reminded her and Jake's mind briefly disappeared into memories of her beautiful home. The kingdom she'd made for herself. The home that had crumbled so easily around her. But you still need to go Jake. The kelpie smiled. First Ireland, and then the beach. That sounded lovely.

((Midnightsun, YES!!! Another Soul Eater fan!!!

And who doesn't love Kiddo?
Kgryphon, Hiro? Fruits Basket?))
Laila gave a faint smile as the class ended. She silently packed up her doodle filled notebook, pencils, textbook, and such in her messenger bag. She slung her bag over her right shoulder and brushed her long black hair off her shoulder so it won't get caught. She then calmly walked out of the room behind the rush of students.
Finding the library is not hard for the nix. Ever since she started coming to Mystic Dawn, she has spent her free time in the library with its vast shelves and serene atmosphere. Mostly reading through the books to see if she could find any information about this school and trying to find out its dark secrets.
People were used to seeing her enter the library during her free time so she raised no suspicion waltzing in and taking her seat at a table as far away from everyone else in the room so they would not be overheard.
