I believe that Goennecs only breed once a year, so their bodies are not made to have a baby almost half a year after their first one.

The affected always need caring, I believe they move straight to the elder ranking as soon as they live their mother. ^^ I could be wrong though.

I believe that they will only join another harem if they feel that the stag can provide for both her and her young while she is pregnant, but yes, it is possible for that to happen. If the older sibling is two or three years of age, then it would no longer be in the care of the mother, so yes, there would be another baby if the mother joins a harem. ^^

Nope. They do not have individual mates unless they are mated for life, and that doesn't happen until they are quite old and instead of 'mating' are really just interested in company. X3

They mate once a year during the Siv, in which the females join the male's harems. C=

As for the affected one, those guys are a division all on their own... I really lack proper information on them, so all I told you earlier, as I pointed out, is speculation from how the regular ones act. ^^

OHHH I think I get it now. x3 They live in a herd, and around the Siv adult males get groups of females? Do they all stay together until the kids are weaned?

And what would happen if a harem's ram were to be killed? Would the females just disperse and join up with other harems for the security of their kids?
