Getting sick of the conversation and by the time she was done treating Sargent's leg, she walked out of the medicine den, teary eyed. She just wanted to go crawl in her nest and sleep her pain away, but she knew it wouldn't be that easy. She knew Captain could be good. She believed he could.

Captain didn't say anything just thought about the idea. It was pretty good, of course what were his odds of finding a predator every time he he needed to. Take his temper out on something? Plus lately his issues seemed to have gotten worse so at his rate the Forrest will be fox free within a week.

"Yeah." The smell of lavender flooded my senses making me even more relaxed. I closed my eyes briefley. "Okay so what next?"

Cana got up to her paws and nudged him. "Come on. Can't be too hard to find one, especially at this time of day." She told him before heading out of the den, expecting him to follow.

I though hard my mind drawing a blank. I tried to think more my mind foggy. He was close... really close. "I-I dont know."

He sighed, and pulled his head back, looking up at the sky. He paused then scooped the lilac branches up in his mouth.

I looked at him "whats wrong?" I stood up and looked at his eyes trying to lock into the unfamiliar eyes and see the emotions. Frustration? Love? I couldnt place my paw on it.

Touching noses was a universal sign of 'i love you.' He'd expected her to know at least that, but he hid the frustration well.
