Pyro bites his lip to prevent himself from laughing again as he watched James become increasingly frustrated with the door as it wouldn't comply once again. "You have to twist the knob," he tells him, making a twisting motion with one hand and gesturing toward the knob with the other, grinning at James, obviously amused.

"Seven," he corrects, "I'm the fifth eldest." he says, returning her smile with one of his own. "Where I'm from, five pups is about average. Two would have been unusual, unless the mother were sickly." he said, and then gazes at Tempest for a long moment, his nose raised slightly, as though he were scenting the air. "You're trying to hide your emotions." he states, but shrugs, seemingly unoffended by the fact that Tempest felt the need to do as he stated she was. "I hope you can, as well." he says, readjusting his wings again.

Dusk's Twilight

Dusk gave a soft sigh as she padded along, light gray ears pinned back against the darker gray of the rest of her pelt. She flicked her ears as she heard a source of water, probably a waterfall, and she shifted her course so that she was actually heading toward it, her ears returning to their pinned position against her head.

Reaching the base of the waterfall, Rave looked up, towards the top and let out a soft sigh. "So beautiful" He mummered as he grinned a bit. "Well, time for a bit of rest" He muttered. Unaware of another wolf nearby. Heading straight to the cliff, he hopped up onto a small ledge that led straight to the waterfall. Giving a quick glance around, to make sure his packmates didnt follow him, he ducked into the waterfall. Or so it seemed, but in truth, he slipped behind it, as unknown to most, there was a small shallow cave directly behind the water curtain that he had found one day exploring, and he loved to spent his time here, it was peaceful.

"Wow.." is said in a gasp; "Sorry," Tempest says, dropping her barriers shyly. "Where I'm from, three is the most pups, and usually...only one survives. The pack never helped mothers." her voice had broke on the word 'pups' and her confused, even jumbled emotions shine through. She doesn't know what to say to him, just letting all she is feeling be shown to him, and a heavy sigh. "I just..." she says after a bit. "Its that..." the pale-pelted wolf stares at her paws.


James bites his bottom lip, thinking. Trying trial and error and many frustrated growls he figures out the door, "See!" is the yap of excitment in english in a wolfy tone; after opening and closing the door multiple times he looses intrest. The Joined begins slowly surveying the room - first the bed which he pokes and then leaps back from. "What?" he asks Pyro curiously, guesturing to the bed, figuring it to be some sort of nest..

Pyro watched as James fought with and then figured the door out, continuing to play with it before losing interest. As he moved to and examined the bed, and then leaped away from, and then asked Pyro what it was, the hunter moved forward, to the bed. The hunter didn't respond verbally until he was draped across the bed on his back, looking up at James. "Bed. For sleeping." After that, he rolled off the bed, landing nimbly on his feet.

Cass gazed at her evenly as she spoke, and he gave a reassuring smile to her when she apologized to him. He listened to her intently, and he moved forward, pressing his nose behind her ear in a comforting manner, before he stepped back. "It's just what?" he urged, though not at all forcefully.

Dusk had come out of the trees just in time to see Rave disappear from a ledge of the cliff alongside the waterfall that she had heard previously, seemingly disappearing into the stream of water. The delta, curious, padded over, and, with the help of her shadows, climbed up onto the ledge where she had previously seen the colorful hunter for the Vargs. Cautiously, she moved forward, sticking close to the wall, and peered through the mist that sprayed off the waterfall. She noticed an opening, just barely, and, feeling triumphant, sidled along the wall of the cliff, behind the stream of water, and into the opening behind it.

Hearing soft steps behind him, Rave whirled around, a soft snarl escaping him until he saw Dusk. Dumbfounded, his eyes went wide as he backed up a bit. "Dusk" He said softly. "Why are you here?"

James creaps closer, noting how springy the bed is and insanely curious about this 'bed' which moves. "Bed..nest Pyro?" he asks climbing up and sitting on it, quite satisfied. "Bed den nest?" he slowly leans back on the bed, arms behind his head as the other man had done. Then, he is surveying the brightly colored blankets, holding it to his nose to sniff them and then frowning and muttering to himself.Why? Because he expects something so brightly colored and pretty to smell like flowers do. When it doesnt, he tentatively licks it. No flavor. A disgruntled expression crosses his face and he looks to Pyro for yet another explaination.

"Well..." the white wolf turns shy, like she cant believe she is confessing to him. Tempest Brewing takes a moment to look at the sky, the planet of his name-sake, before returning her gaze to her paws. "You know,...I can't decide if I want them anymore. Pups I mean. Used too, but now...with everything else that is going on...but I'm sure you can already guess." a self-concious chuckle, mostly to herself. "How I'm feeling when I tell you this I mean, I would...but..." a sigh.

Dusk froze when Rave whirled around to see her, and when he asked the question, the grayscale fae looked down at her paws. "Dumah ran off, so I was looking for her -- until her thought waves disappeared, which meant she was asleep..So I knew she was safe... and I called for you, but you didn't respond, so I came to the waterfall and saw you go in," she trailed off, slightly embarrassed that she had been caught.

Cass sat down as she spoke, curling his tail over his paws. He waited until Tempest was finished speaking, and he scented her aura as she spoke. It was bittersweet, but changing. "I wanted them, too, for a while. But I don't have enough patience for them, strange as it sounds." he admits, giving a little shrug. "But you want them, and you don't. That's a bit confusing, but I do understand. You aren't sure if you want the pups to be Shadow's, right?"

Pyro had to fight off another fit of laughter as he watched James sniff and taste the blankets. And then look at him for an answer. "It's a blanket," he explains, "Like your furs. Keeps you warm." The hunter bit his lip again, having to force himself to not laugh again. He couldn't help wanting to laugh. It was funny to watch James become reacquainted with village things, considering it seemed had completely forgotten about them during his time with the wolves.

"Oh" He replied softly. Sitting down slowly he yawned. "Yes. Dumah is in our cave at the moment. Sleeping with Shadow Demon." Falling silent, he looked at the water. "Im sorry. I was thinking about things, so I kinda lost track of reality." Shifting his paws a bit he sighed. "This place, I found it by accident. But ever since I found it, I have loved it, It is always so peaceful, and it is amazing to see the stars shine through the water."

The grayscale fae sat shortly after Rave had, although she still looked a bit embarrassed. "I figured as much. Dumah would not have gone to sleep unless she felt safe." she said, curling her tail over her paws, which shifted against the ground under her feet uneasily. "It seems to be. And it is very well hidden. Had I not seen you go in, I wouldn't have known it was here." she looked up from her paws, to peer at Rave, before she turned her head to look back toward the wall of water behind her that hid the entrance to the cave.

Getting up slowly, he went to the front of the cave and layed down before rolling onto his back. "Come here Dusk" He called sofly. "There is this one star which always shines the brightest, that is in a perfect place when lookling at it like this. The waters part right around it, so its very pretty"
