BACKSTORY ON BOTH DRAGON AND RIDER: Icefire hatched when Alex found her egg, she knows nothing about her family. She doesn't let this bother her and uses her inborn knowledge to help her rider any way she can
Alex is no one special, she lived in a village she was a tad richer then the rest of her neighbours. On one of her rides with her stallion, Thowra she discovered Icefires egg and touched it allowing Icefire to hatch and for her to begin her life as a dragon rider

And I agree the movie was terrible I liked it before I read the book but after, ugh, horrid.

I actually hadn't read the book before I watched Eragon but I still thought it was bad, probably because of the ridiculous 'romance' between Arya and Eragon. The only good part was Saphira, she was an awesome dragon but I would have liked to see Thorn and Murtagh more but then the film did so badly they banished all thoughts of a sequel from their mind, thank god

Anyway when can we start

Alex was on another flight with her dragon Icefire. She wasn't really concentrating on the forest below but jerked awake when Icefire hissed
"Concentrate, we may as well land if you start to daydream again" She growled. Alex rolled her eyes at her, Icefire was just like a mom sometimes, she glanced down at the forests hoping for something interesting to happen that would wake her up
