I was just playing Minecraft, and wondering;
Do any of your guys do a thing I like to call 'Gamemode Trade-ins'?
Sound weird? Well, I find it a weirdly good idea ^^
I was playing Minecraft one night, sometime ago (by that, I mean like a week) and had an odd thought, I'm sure other people do it, too, but I've yet to find any.
I had a ton, and I mean a ton of red roses (still playing on 1.5 xD) and what I needed badly was sand, because I had been everywhere and I'd only found about six blocks, which upsettingly wasn't enough for my three bedroom house, plus a tower xD
So I had around 20 red roses, so because of how easy sand is mostly to find sometimes, I went into Gamemode 1 and 'traded' in all 20 of them for 15 sand.
So I kept doing this, with other things, and so far, playing has been so much easier. Sure, it is slightly cheating, but you are giving something back and taking another thing.
I gave in 20 iron at one point for 10 lapis, then 20 more iron for 5 gold.
It can go on and on, I've even done a quick book (which I traded in for with 2 iron) for myself in game so I now have set goals for it.
Its kind of made the game fun again for someone like me who can panic way too easily, so stays on peaceful a lot. Because now I can work mainly above ground and still get a full set of iron tools within a good time!
Not sure if anyone else has ever thought of trying this / does this ^^? But I know I enjoy the game a lot more again because of it.
