history::Cordelia's past is one of sorrow and pain, one that is enough to fill two lifetimes. But it's best we start off at the beginning. Her beginning.
Cordelia grew up in a small, secluded area where it was common to find Legendaries - mainly water-types, though. From the start, this Suicune knew she was different. Cory isolated herself from her family, and was usually found wandering the forest in search of adventure. Her father knew this was dangerous, and tried everything he could to see to it that she was safe.
His attempts failed. Cordelia still found herself getting into trouble, and her father was furious. Angered, he claimed if she could not respect his attempts to keep her safe, then she would be banished from the forest. Cordelia begged, pleaded, and screamed. She didn't want to go, but her pleas were futile. She was later exiled, never to return to the forest for the rest of her life.
Her life went downhill from there. Normal Pokemon - like Lotad, Pikachu, and Vulpix - were terrified of her, due to the fact that she was a Legendary. She felt that she would never find another Pokemon that would like her...
Until, that is, she met
Kirito.
Kirito was a solitary Lucario, and a strange one, at that. He carried a long blade with him, and wore gauze around his front paws. The two met when Cordelia was out playing by herself one day, and the little Suicune stuck to him like glue. At first, Kirito was annoyed by her; infuriated, even. He tried everything he could to make sure the young Legendary could not find him again, but like her father's attempts to keep her safe, Cordelia saw through his charade and found him, time and time again. Finally, after weeks of trying to avoid her, Kirito gave up and tried bonding with her instead. The Lucario found that she was actually decent to hang around, and became fast friends with her.
Then came that fateful day.
It was spring time, and Kirito and Cordelia were playing Hide 'N Go Seek near the mountainside they called home. Cordelia was hiding inside a little cavern when she heard a rumbling noise. It was an earthquake! She gave a loud scream, and Kirito came running. Just as he was about to enter the cave, rocks came tumbling down. It is suspected that Kirito was crushed underneath the rocks during the landslide, though it is not factual.
Ever since then, Cordelia has refused to speak, or make any sound. She believes that it's because of her scream that Kirito may have been killed, and she doesn't want anything like that to happen again. In the uncommon occurrences that she does speak, she speaks quickly and softly, in a voice barely above a whisper. She won't talk unless someone provokes her, or she chooses to.
