rexburg, idaho. it has a cool ring to it, even the city is pretty righteous itself. full of life, friendly people, and a brooding dark secret. that escalated rather quickly, did it not? anyway, it's not an entirely dark secret or brooding, just one of those "oh, that's cool" kind of secret. well, if we are getting technical, it's not even a secret. just information is all it is. well, as you probably guessed it from the wolf picture above, rexburg holds a...minor variety of "mythical" creatures. one kanima, some werewolves, them vampires, and even fairies! weird, i know. oh and mixed into the bunch is normal humans and the hunters. well, we should go into some detail here, yeah?

the kanima is honestly the ugliest thing i have ever seen. it's like the form of a shapeshifter and possesses the ability to climb walls like a lizard, has these freaking long nails that have this venom in them that can paralyze you for hours! so, that's really a drag to the person who was paralyzed. it has a long tail, heals quickly, and its greatest power is at the high of the moonlight. the kanima seeks a master but we'll get to that in a bit. and it is the size of a normal human and it's just covered in scales. gnarly.
the werewolves! what a killer creature, honestly. they're pretty sweet themselves. whereas some of them stay in "somewhat human form" they all possess the ability to turn into a full out wolf, or an even larger wolf. they have heightened senses, accelerated healing, nice agility, enhanced strength, pain transference, and memory transference - that's pretty radical. all those abilities are pretty common, even in human form which would explain why you rocked at sports now compared to before. so, we've got the omegas - personal favorite, they're awesome. and then you have betas and alphas. they're not as cool as an omega, but whatever. alphas are cool enough. when you're an alpha, your eyes glow red. when you are an omega and beta, your eyes glow yellow. but, check this out: they might glow blue if you've ever taken an innocent life.
okay, so, vampires! they have the same abilities as werewolves and they pretty much suck blood out from people and enjoy the blood because they like the taste of iron...i presume. however, some might drink from animals rather than people - that's totally possible. almost always their eyes are red and they're extremely beautiful, by the way. known as one of the most prettiest creatures ever, yeah they're pretty. not flawless, but freaking gorgeous.
hunters! whoo! ight, so the hunters hunt anything besides the fairies! they hunt the werewolves, vampires, and that one kanima. they are extremely skilled in just about anything sporty. bow and arrow, shooting, running, tracking, hunting - you name it. their shooting is precise, their methods of getting information out of creatures is hurtful, and their knowledge is vast. hunters do not hunt the fairies because they are basically friends and tight with one another. hunters do not hunt werewolves or vampires unless something weird is up. like, a dead body has been discovered - that kind of stuff.
fairies! the helpers of the hunters - literally. fairies have the ability to tell who is what. they can tell if someone is a vampire or werewolf. but they cannot tell who the kanima is. the downfall? they're all pretty tight with everyone. unless one fairy catches a werewolf or vampire doing some inhuman, they have got to keep their mouth shut. they are able to control minds, read minds, and transport. dude, they're pretty sweet when it comes to scaring the living crap out of someone. they are the most loyal to the hunters just because they do not want to die. even if a dead body is discovered, they can't help them out. but, if they know the werewolf or vampire who did it, or it's pretty obvious it was one of their attacks, then they track and observe.

okay, so if hunters do not attack unless a dead body shows up, then what's up with this role play? ight, i forgot to add that one complex twist that makes people go "oh, i should join. cool, a mystery...sounds sweet." okay, here it is! a couple...maybe six bodies have been showing up over the course...of...'ya know...a week or two. it's obvious the werewolves didn't attack them and the vampires didn't either. but, whatever or whoever is doing it is trying kind of hard to frame them. not even the kanima did this crap. so, the hunters are thinking a new creature has come up or some high school student is getting revenge on three high school counselors, and three teachers from the high school. with the tensions high, the body count can soar higher.

okay, so, in addition to all those creatures they are allowed to have one personal power of their own. this goes for the werewolves, vampires, fairies, and the kanima. each personal power is different, so it's first come first serve. there will be a list on some post with the characters and creatures ranks with the personal power so one does not have the same. secondly, be literate, ight? this forum is for the literate, so i expect nine lines with writer's block and however much you want to write regularly. however, i do know this depends on your muse and what you're given in return. so, if your partner gives a small reply, ditch them or message them - whatever floats your boat. okay, so any romance pairings is okay with me. that means if you're a vampire, you can go love a freaking fairy for all i care. any sexuality is allowed, spread the love or whatever. no god-modding, you're gonna get punched at least once. don't go into too much detail via horrific scenes and romance. all creatures go to high school c: that's fun - high school with math and that ugly crap. keep character ages from seventeen to nineteen...please? thanks. c: i'll add more when i think of 'em. oh, and reservations? no. i don't do that crap. post a work in progress profile, it's all good. just include the basic information: personal power if creature, what creature, what rank in the werewolf stuff, and add a nice picture of their face. if they're a werewolf, add their wolf pic or link it in the profile. linking would be cool. activity? whenever you're on, posting would be cool but definitely not necessary. wanna be totally committed? that's cool too.

coen bryce nickels is an eighteen year old of many words. he often contradicts himself and his eyebrows do quirky movements when he is deep in thought. leaving a decision up to him is flabbergasting to say the least. he can't make his mind up and often becomes frustrated when a solid decision never forms. he is oblivious to obvious things like a girl crushing on him and isn't quite sure how to get his feelings to form words. his mind invites any madness and swirls constantly with ponders and a few random words as well.
at the age of nine, coen was adopted into a mexican family. the mother could not have children of her own and she always believed in transracial adoption being a marvelous action to perform. in fact, his mother - adopted mother - is the author of many books having to deal with the topic. his father - adopted dad - works within a nuclear powerplant. as you might of guessed, coen has unique views on world issues. if he were to choose, coen would be a republican.
growing up in such a household and attending public school, coen received a lot of crap for having mexican parents. however, that was how sixth grade boys acted. when seventh grade rolled along, the heat turned cold and only a few remarks reached his ears a year. now, with having parents of a different race coen is bilingual; meaning he can speak two languages fluently - spanish and english.
one could say coen is a bright student, but he tends to use his imagination more than anything. when kids are accepting the information in class, he's always the one to question it. he regularly does this with people, too. if the story seems exaggerated, coen will state his opinion in the "all so powerful" stature he managed to acquire thanks to growing up in queens.
