Just looked up how to fake an accent and found this. Us foreigners may learn the ways of the British.

I just spent like 20 minutes at my computer trying to do that out loud. It's harder for me because I have a terribly strong Maritime Canadian accent, which is English with German and Scottish influences. Apparently we sound quite silly to out-of-towners. But anyway, I'm quite rubbish at the whole British thing. :p

Speaking of the horrible accents here, it really makes me angry when Who fans here pronounce "dalek" like "DAR-lek". It's "daa-lick". -.- Today was the last day of the comic convention and we had a lot of Doctor Who panels going on and I lost track of how many times people said "dar-lek" and "Claire-a" instead of "Clar-a". I pronounce the words like they do in British accents on the show, I don't say them in my natural accent.

We don't speak like that link. I may be Scottish but I know British accents and that is so stereotypical!

Matt sounds like an American gang leader from the 1920s, according to what I've read...and heard. XD He does have a touch of American western accent in there as well. Karen did all right...and Rory did quite well. They all did quite well, honestly - but I think Matt did the best.

Today the girl I was babysitting exclaimed "Where's the Doctor?" and I got so excited there for a minute
until I realized she was talking about her doctor Barbie. She later exclaimed again "The Doctors dance!"
but she was talking about a Youtube video. She's four, I should have known she wasn't a Whovian. XP

Also, my favorite (or rather hide-behind-the-couch worthy) villain is...probably the Weeping Angels. Gah. I don't think I'll look at the statue of an angel the same way ever again. X3 Next, for the ones I love to despise is probably The Master or the Daleks. X3
