Duncan is a cruel and merciless brute. His main focus is on strength and power, looking down on those who are weaker than him. He has a very sarcastic sense of humor and is rarely kind to others. If he is generous, it's only because he thinks it can somehow benefit him. He's very selfish and has no concern for other wolves. Despite being a very talented hunter and fighter, he is cocky and arrogant. Most wolves are able to put up with him because of his skills or just don't disrespect Duncan because they're afraid of him. Because he often picks on those weaker than him, he's generally disliked, but he doesn't care. Duncan is power-hungry and often takes advantage of others no matter who he hurts.

Duncan was the son of the alpha male in his original pack. He is just like his father, vicious and greedy. When his mother tried running away, his father killed her. Having no siblings, he was either on his own or with his father. When his father passed away, Duncan was two and a half years old and took his place as alpha male. It turned out that he was an even more cruel leader than his father. The whole pack overthrew and banished him. For the next year, he drifted from pack to pack, each one kicking him out because of his violent nature. Eventually, he found the Haldred Pack. It took him two years, but he eventually became the beta male because of his fighting talents. Not wanting to wait to become alpha again, he killed the alpha pair while they were asleep, declaring himself the new alpha.
