(Dodobird, I'm gonna say that during the timeskip they were traveling along the river, sorry for powerplaying a little, so if you have something else in mind, please tell me. XD )
Elusive Secret
As Secret waded through the water, which was now at knee height, flames licked the side of the bank. The flames were just a little above knee height now, but she did not attempt to jump. She had a pretty good idea that it might just singe her underside. As she walked, herbs gripped firmly in her jaws, she made sure the herbs were wet, and far, far away from the fires.
As she travelled, Secret glanced to the brindle stallion wading along the river with her. When she'd awoken, the flames had started to get dangerously high, so they started moving in the river, almost enveloped by flames. The water kept them safe, though. They'd travelled for a while now, and the flames had died down, but they could still go a little further yet before they attempted a jump. But as she looked at the stallion, she was watching for another thing. As soon as they'd started moving, and the water was lower than his underside, she'd applied some of her herbs to his rump and belly. They were clean wounds, thank goodness, though the rump had a little bit of an infection, it cleared away with some water. However, they stung, and younger horses often had the tendency of trying to secretly rub or wash it off. So, she watched him carefully with her brown eye, whilst her blue one watched the flames and the road ahead. If any, his leg wounds would have to wait. But the leg ones were minor, and probably healing already. The stomach and rump were scabbing over nicely too, to form a protective layer over the wound. Soon enough he would be healed. And her job would be done, and the two could part ways.
However, strangely enough, Secret wasn't feeling irritated, like she probably would be, at this time. It had been a few days or so, and honestly he'd been mighty nice about her and her stubborness. He accepted that she didn't talk much, even. Or at all. Deciding that that was worthy of a name, at least, Secret broke the silence, finally starting to crack. "Elusive Secret. That's my name. But Secret's fine." Her voice was soft, melodic, not at all sounding like what would come out of the strong willed mares mouth. Her voice didn't sound assertive at all, like it didn't belong to the mare's character, and was a little hoarse. But that was because she rarely used it.
With that, the mare continued moving. She could speak fine, even with the herbs in her jaws, but that was only because she'd used quite a few. That worried her actually, but she'd probably have enough to roughly finish healing him, and that made her feel a little pleased. She'd estimated the amount to bring well.
Mostly just on rps now. XD
