avila - silverAvila looked back at Selenia and noticed that she, like Avila herself, was transfixed to the seemingly endless battle, for no matter what one did, the other could match and almost conquer. Finally after much back and forth The Commander finally won, the dirt tipped sword pointing at the spot where her jaw and neck met. As soon as The Commander stepped aside and replaced his sword Selenia was up and moving towards him, what was so important? Following the girl with her gaze Avila sighed and resigned herself to watching the other recruits practice, after all the healers could do without her for a few more hours. Walking along the edge of the field Avila felt an involuntary shiver from the cool winds that were blowing across the field. Why did she have this gift? Looking down at her hands Avila couldn't help but hate her gift, not for the first time, she hated how her life had been dictated from the moment they'd discovered what she could do, but at least she could do something. Looking up Avila joined the crowd of few that were watching the others practice.
Hey Montey_Govnar, mind if Avila talks to Jephry?}}
Sorry my guy is taking longer than I thought, I've gotten really busy at school}}

Rosetta sighed and sat up bored and walked around looking at the swords and weapons for training. She sighed and pulled out her own a long silver sword with a bronzes handle and a gem on the center. Rosetta set up some targets and started to swing at them slicing them in half. Some sideways and the others vertically.

「 Dalia
Fortshorth 」
-> The light breeze was cool against her cheeks and blew a few stray strands of hair into her line of sight. A usual recurrence that seemed to happen every time she rose her bow. Dalia easily ignored the slight distraction and readjusted her grip on the homemade weapon. She had made this bow, trained with it hours on end, it spoke to her in ways that only she could understand. There was no way she was going to miss. Letting out a slow breathe, she released the arrow that had been set in place. It hit the target with force and accuracy. Every time she shot it felt like hours before she released the arrow, but in reality it was only seconds. Her brows furrowed as she gazed at the target. Sure it hit the center, but not how the fisherman's daughter liked it. She liked equal spacing between the hit and the edges of the target. Dalia knew it had to do with all of the spectators. There to train the recruits when it was obvious they couldn't do anything themselves. And yet another reason for her not to pick up a sword.
-> There were only a few other archers practicing on the long line of targets. Dalia estimated about ten targets to the left and the right that were unoccupied, and there was well over thirty arrows in her quiver. There was a faint smile playing on her lips as she walked down the row to the beginning. Once she started there was no stopping. Dalia let loose arrow after arrow, sidestepping down the row with ease. She hadn't been able to shoot much since they had arrived in Astella, and this was exhilarating. Dalia reached for another arrow and found nothing. She had easily just blown through at least thirty arrows. That half-smile was on her face again as she removed the arrows from the targets. Most of them were in the center, but some were a little to the right. When she was sure that she had retrieved all of her arrows she returned to the target she had been using before. Dalia brushed some of her crimson hair out of her eyes and lifted her bow again.
-> Just as she was about to fire Dalia noticed someone approaching her. A tall blonde someone whose intense beauty could only belong to an elf or a half-elf. Dalia turned to face the newcomer and lowered her bow. "Yes?" She raised her voice to be heard over all of the voices that surrounded them.
{Dalia's open if anyone's interested and I'll try to get my male character done soon. School has been killing me lately.}

SIR CHARLES PLANTAGNET
commander
He watched in silence as Siofra moved over to the shade to keep an eye on the newest army members. She didn't seem very happy with his order but he was commander and therefore the authority. She would have to grit her teeth and bare it, listen to his commands, especially when it came to the battle. Shaking his head slightly, he turned to go and get a drink but one of the healers had appeared besides him. Eyebrows raised but Charles inclined his head to listen to her as she spoke, nervous voice full of mistakes and stutters. Eventually, she finished and asked him a question.
"I was wondering whether you would be willing, to train me a bit to become something more than - a healer,"
So she wanted to learn how to defend herself and become part of the army, instead of being a healer? If he could, Charles would have pressed his index finger and thumb to the bridge of his nose. "You must understand that any final decisions into the army, if that is what you wish in the long run, is down to the King and not myself. All these," the commander gestured to the numerous small groups of recruits, "have been recruited by the King as they show promise and quick learning. Your gift makes you perfect for a healer, and they are just important, or perhaps more so, then the army for the future of out kingdom. However," Charles paused, raising his head to look past Selenia's head to look at the mountains in the horizon, I will train you, so you can defend yourself when the time comes. Remember that I also have to keep an eye on the entire army."

I love the fighting... I hate the death. I want to stop but my heart is trained for battle. I know nothing else." - unknownBast CarthakiI have eyes all over the forest. They see for me, and I hunt down my prey silent as an owl. My prey are not the animals that help me, oh no. The humans and elves that have done wrong. I am a judge, those who do not pass my tests are disposed of by the next day.
Call me an assassin, and you’d probably be right. I have worked for 112 years to perfect my ability with weapons, and I am proud that I do not use conventional types. Katana, Khopesh, Bolo, even my beloved axes. I am also skilled with a longbow and throwing knives.
I stand at about 5' 5" (1.65 meters) tall. My skin is on the pale side, and my hair is ink black. I cut it very short, because I hate when it goes in my face. My nose is small, and turns up a bit at the end. My eyes are bright light blue, and it's said that when I stare at people it's very unsettling. I'm told I move with catlike agility. My ears are pointed, and I have black opal earrings.
Despite my age, I look about 20. I call my reclusive, others call me stuck up. It's all a matter of opinion. I grew up within a small, close-knit group of elves, among them my half-elf brother. As a matter of fact, they were all halflings. I was the only full-blooded elf in the group. My brother was their leader, and the rest of them his best friends and closest lovers. I will admit, I was spoiled. I blame my brother. We were happy, but all good things must come to an end, right?
Anyways, I was 17 when my brothers and sisters went to the mountains (we all called each other brothers and sisters). They never came back. They were not the first to go to the mountains, and I know I should have tried harder to make them stay. After that, I roamed the wilderness. I honed my ability to communicate with animals, and when I was 20, I made my first kill. The man was a liar and a cheat, and I felt nothing as he died. I had discovered what I was good at, so I stuck with being an assassin.
I hear the rumors, I know that the creatures are returning. I will join the army and help where I can. Nothing can stop me.(does this work?)
