@Dracarys: what rank are you and what do you do?
Right now I'm a sergeant but once I moved, I'll be a staff sergeant. What's the difference? A staff sergeant (E-6) is requested to be at that base and do a certain work.
As for what I do there I jump around and do whatever they need me to do. Today it was fixing a broken down jeep. Once I move though, I'll be choosing what I want to do. And most likely when I'm moved i'll be part of infantry

Lol thanks. And I here OoRah on a daily basis lol I even say it when I'm at home since it's like a reflex now.
I took ROTC too. I remember a marine came in and talked and I asked him why they called themselves jarheads. He never answered my question but now I know.

It started a long time ago during world war 2. Marine and Navy sailors that wore those blue hats resembled a Mason Jar. Later on they started calling themselves that because the marines weren't the 'brightest' branch of military. (compared to Airforce and Army which has higher academic standards than Navy and Marine) Now it's a term that's commonly used among the marines but is considered an insult if another corp member calls us that( like someone from the airforce) or someone outside the military calls us that.
