A Nectoralia is a rodent-like mammal that is very energetic, social and friendly. They are unlike any other mammal, however. This is because of the fact that they have a stem to a plant that protrudes from the back of the head, travels down their back as a spine, hangs down like a tail, and has a type of flower or plant at the end of the tail. This is a feature present in all Nectoralia because this is one of their main sources of energy. With this tail, they can use photosynthesis to collect energy, and they are able to use the nectar from one's own tail to make their own honey to eat. Nectoralia are generally timid and reserved around humans, but once they warm up to you, they can be your friend for life. Can you gain the affection of a Nectoralia?

❁Nectoralia Stages/Sizes;
Fully grown-Rabbit sized
Child-small rat sized
Newborn-large mouse sized
Egg-chicken egg sized
❁ Nectoralia have three variations/fur types. The first is the common Nectoralia, which you see above in the picture. They have medium length coat and live almost anywhere that isnt unbearingly cold or excruciatingly hot. Then, there is the arctic Nectoralia, who features a long, thick coat, a fluffy upper lip(to keep warm) and longer ear fur. They can also have really long leg fur, almost covering the paws. These live in snowy areas and arctic regions. And lastly is the short furred or desert Nectoralia, who has almost no fur around the neck, unlike other Nectoralias, and no fluff on the lip because it is not needed like the long-furred ones. These live in tropical locations and deserts. The common Nectoralia is most common(hence the name), with the desert and arctic being rare to find.
❁ Nectoralia's diets include nuts, berries, honey that they make with their own nectar from their tails, and in rare occasions, insects. They love sweet things like candies and honey as treats.
❁ They use photosynthesis to gain energy, along with eating honey. So yes, they are quite hyper little guys, as they get double the energy. They burn it off quickly, however, as they love to run around and play games.
❁They have long, sticky tongues, used for collecting nectar and catching bugs. These are similar to frog tongues, but mor mammal-like.
❁At night, if the Nectoralia has a flower(not a flowerless plant) at the end of their tail, this will close up and glow. This serves as a guide and a night-light.
❁Nectoralia usually live in burrows/underground to protect themselves from predators. They love to collect things to decorate their homes with them. Nectoralia will generally live in a burrow with their family until they find a mate, and then live in another burrow with their new family.
❁Nectoralia hatch from eggs that are usually oval shaped. Nectoralia will only lay one egg per breeding, no chance of twins. They will look after this egg for about 3(chicken smoothie) weeks until the baby hatches(/is posted ;D)
❁The fur coat of a Nectoralia is usually surprisingly colourful, but not too bright, as they still need to hide from predators. It is hard to find a Nectoralia without more than one color in their pelt, but it's possible.
❁Mutations; So far, we have discovered that Nectoralia are sometimes born with strange mutations such as wings(bee wings mostly) or longer antennae. None other have been found, but i am sure we will discover plenty more as we continue to research them.
❁

In General;
❁ Do not steal, copy or claim Nectoralia as your own in any way.
❁ Please do not ask to be an artist or moderator.
❁ Please be kind and respectful towards me, my artists, moderators, and the other adopters.
❁ All of Tess's rules apply here.
❁ Do not bribe the artists in any way, or ask them to change a design to your liking, and do not whine if you don't win a Nectoralia. Just keep a good sport and try again!
❁ Do not copy a Nectoralia design onto another animal/species, and do NOT use a Nectoralia in any way unless you are the owner of it(using/saving pictures of it, roleplaying it, otherwise saying that it belongs to you), this is unacceptable and offensive to the owner of the Nectoralia.
❁ If you get banned from Nectoralia Adopts for any reason, I have the power to take away your Nectoralia(if you own one), or put it up for re-adoption, or gift it. So please be careful, I really don't want to do this to someone.
❁ You can own up to 3 at a time at the moment.
❁ If you wish to add accessories to your adopted Nectoralia, please dont do something dumb like make another design, custom, or something else with the lineart. Just add accessories <3
❁ If you wish to add hair or something to your Nectoralia, ask me for permission first otherwise it probably will not be allowed.
❁ If you want to 'revamp' your Nectoralia, PM me and i will do it, don't do it yourself unless you have asked me and I have given you permission to do so.
❁ Do not spam the thread, only ask questions or talk about the species. If somehow, the conversation drifts off to "oh yeah, and then I ate lunch." There is something wrong.
Re-Adopting a Nectoralia
❁ If you do not wish to own your Nectoralia anymore, please PM the artist (or me) so we can put it up for re-adoption.
❁ Please contact me (UnfortunateFoxTamer) or the artist who created the dragon first, before you do anything.
❁ Do not put a Nectoralia up for re-adoption, or gift it, without permission.
❁ If the Nector's design is old, you may ask for me or the artist to revamp it a little before it goes up for re-adoption.
❁ Please have a reasoning to why you are deciding to give away your Nectoralia c:
