hey guys! I haven't been posting lately; since I have nothing (new) to share, 'cause I'm boring and stuff.
but I've been checking the threads in my posts, and everything shown as of late is wonderful as always. <3

you made a good choice in design; he's an adorable character overall. I don't have suggestions on a cutie mark, but I can see him having a name like Mercury or Jupiter.

I'm looking for some more rps for Nate; whether it ranges from romantic or friendly doesn't matter, although I'd like to see friendship bloom before romance, but I really want to see Nate into a relationship soonish.
with that, send me a pm and a reference, if you choose to; I'll probably gonna take one or none, since I get stressed out and pressured easily with (more than one or two) rps and everything.

The dark blue alicorn made his way up to a grave, head low, ears back and wings slightly out as he ascended the small hill, where a fresh headstone lay. "I'm sorry..." He whispered, lowering the yellow roses down in-front of the headstone. "I should have been there..." His eyes started to sting, as he re-read the words over and over again.

died at age 11.

Reaching into his saddlebag he grabbed a small toy crown and sat it beside the roses, staring at the headstone with bright blue eyes before collapsing, his body wracked with sobs. He had stayed strong for his family, the kingdom. When they had heard of the death of the only girl in the royal blood-line it shocked them at first, then his mother had to excuse herself to her room while their father went into a shut-down like state. His brother was still off on business, so he had to manage the Kingdom while his mother and father re-cooperated. "It shouldn't have happened! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN HIM!" The usually quiet and calm prince wasn't used to these emotions, pain, suffering, sadness, grief, all this mixed together was hurting him. He rarely ate, rarely slept, his little sister was his life. He was her knight to protect her, and she was his little blossom of happiness. With that gone, he didn't know what to do. Memories hit him like a bullet train, only making the cries more wordless, and soon the ground in-front of him was wet with tears.

"Dusky!" A little voice called out, a little light purple and orange bundle of joy was running around happily, chasing her older brother around. "Its the mighty dragon slayer Lavender! Oh no!" Dusk was dressed in a plain green dragon costume, giggling and letting out a whoop of laughter as the small pony tackled him. "Rawr! I'll get you! Tickle attack!" He 'attacked' her, tickling her until she cried Uncle. "You'll always be my big bwother, right?" She asked, calmed down. "Of course. To protect you always and be there when you need me."

At this moment he was a pitiful sight, his cloak revealing slightly showing ribs. the only thing hiding the bags under his eyes was the dark colored coat and mane that fell unevenly into his eyes. That to although, was messed up, the usual crown that sat upon his raven colored mane was discarded to the side, the silver and blue stones slightly reflecting the cloudy sky, as if the world itself was mourning. Most of the town had payed respects earlier in the week, leaving him alone in the green field. Older headstones sat near the bottom of the hill, cracked with age and hardly recognizable writing carved into them. Each had one colored rose by them, he had payed his respects to his ancestors before coming to his destination.

So a while ago, before I got my tablet I started attempting pixel art
And I have grown to be more found of pixel art more so then my normal art
So I was thinking of doing a couple for y'all
So I will be taking a few request
Just pm a ref, no more then three, and a bit about the pone
So I can get a sense how they act and do possibly a personality fitted pose

Quick (... for me xD) sketch of new unicorn :> I'm still trying to work out a name and cutie mark for her, though I may be a bit ahead on that first one-- what do you guys think of Shalott? I like it myself, but I don't think it fits in all that well with the pony 'verse; and for MLP characters, I do just prefer having names that don't seem totally out of place...

Sooooo it's a major WIP, but as I've been playing with my new unicorn character's history and such... it's kind of expanded into a kingdom, and if it works out, I'd be willing to open it up to others to work in

Basic ideas:

-Removed from Equestria at large. Perhaps around the lake at the foot of the Crystal Mountains, or an island off of Vanhoover? Basically, small, very hidden island place full of forests and caverns.

-'Traditional' unicorns (tall and slender 'Fleur' body type, cloven hooves, long and feathery fetlocks, lion-like tail, spiraled horns, goatees-- though that's optional, some might just be born without them or choose to shave them off) are the dominant population, comprising about 99% of citizens, the remainder being earth ponies (though they follow the Fleur body type). No pegasi, no alicorns, no hybrids of anything else.

-While there are no pegasi, there are 'skydancers', unicorns whose talent is creating 'steps' of ice from water vapor in the air and using that to run along wherever they need. This cannot be done in low-humidity environments. In fact, most ponies in this region have talents tied to water in some way or another-- blessing water to heal the sick, scrying, using it as a weapon for attack or defense, etc.

-The region is thought to be a myth by most, and is the focus of an Equestrian version of the fountain of youth... which actually does exist. The story goes that a queen, some two or three thousand years ago, saw her daughter fall deathly ill. The queen's talent was in healing, so she took her daughter to a small, underground cavern that held a pond that was thought to produce the best healing water. Desperate to keep the princess alive, the queen expended all of her magic-- indeed, nearly her entire life-- into blessing the water. The two drank from it, and the princess was immediately made well. The queen, though she could no longer perform even the simplest of spells, couldn't have been any happier, and they returned to the overworld to share the wonderful news. As the years passed though, they noticed something... strange. The princess, who should have been a fully grown mare, looked scarcely a day older than when she'd returned from the pool. Even stranger was that, while the king had grown old and sick, the queen remained young and healthy. An idea entered the queen's mind then, and she led the king to the same hidden pool she had blessed so long ago, and told him to drink from it. Almost immediately, the king's mane returned to its flaming red and gold, and the aches and cold that had plagued his body vanished, leaving him looking like he was in the prime of his life. It was clear, then, what had happened-- the pool not only cured ills, but would keep children young and turn a pony on the edge of death into the model of health... though it was soon learned the effects weren't quite permanent, one would need to drink from it again every decade or so to keep the effects going. Since then, the kingdom has been most dedicated to protecting this pond, reserving its magic only for those most in need or most deserving.

-There is a dark side to the pond's magic, though-- should a pony cease drinking from it, they will... decay. Every day that passes, they will seem to age by one year, lasting as many days as there were years they cheated death. For especially long-lived individuals, this turns them into... nothing short of abominations, withered husks with no memory of their lives, no sense of reason or logic, only a heightened fight-or-flight response and twisted versions of whatever magic they had had in life.

-The current queen is the same one who blessed the pond, but she is queen mostly in name only-- most of the time, she is traveling the rest of the world, learning all she can. The king died some centuries ago, while her daughter refused to drink any more of the water and instead lived a normal life; one of her descendants is the reigning princex (since I don't know if it'll be male or female, or if I'm even going to create that character or let someone else claim them xD) today.

Incidentally, I've decided what my character's talent is-- she is a scryer, able to see events occurring in distant locations. This is fairly limited though, in that she needs to actually have a name and image of who she's supposed to be looking over (i.e. only a pony she's met, or has been given the name and picture of), and it must be done in a pool of pure water (however, she has managed to pick up a spell that either purifies dirty water, or can draw some from the ground if there's enough of a nearby source). She cannot communicate with whoever she's watching, either; and can't like... teleport or anything; if she sees something bad happening, a message has to get out the old-fashioned way; and she can only see what is actually occurring in the present, not the past or future. She is mostly called upon by the princex to see how the queen is doing; and due to her skill in this, she has been granted permission to drink from the pool-- she's actually around a hundred years old, instead of the 20-30 she appears.

So what do you guys think, would you be interested in getting in on this, either as adopts/a roleplay/something? xD

xD I actually meant to go back in there that yes, many (male and female) do have the little goatees (Though I think I'd leave it as 'optional', maybe some are born without them or shave them off and just don't like the way it looks xD)
