James isnt sure what Pyro means by 'Was it about Slater?' so reguards the other with a blank face. "What... mean?" he asks after a long pause. "Why Sad...same?" eyes flash as again he surveys the lands they traverse through and then rest again on the soon to be Joined Man. "Not....know." a shake of his head as he waits for a responce.

"I felt what they all felt...I cant..." Storm tries to explain, broadcasting his feelings and illnesses. Abruptly, it is cut off. "Dumah is not well, I take it." it isnt a question, but an observation. "Or something else is wrong. What is it? You can Tell me Shadow... I can lock secrets away." says the dark one, trying to help. A reasuring tone.

The brown-eyed hunter exhales sharply, "Was it Slater? That you came about." He wasn't irritated or angry with the Joined child, merely exasperated with all that had happened over the course of the past several weeks. "I miss her is all, and Slater, too, as irritating as he is." he snorted softly, almost as a laugh, but the sound was too sad to be an actual laugh.

Shade tried to hide a grimace as Storm made the obvious observation that Dumah wasn't well. "I.." he began, and then sighed, "She will not let anyone who is human, even James and her cousin, see her. And she will not eat, and if I try to convince her to come out, Dusk and Fire growl at me." he breathed out sharply, his silver gaze flicking up to the other male, "Silence will not leave her den, and the only ones she actually allows into her den are Dusk and Fire." he stared hard at the ground for several long moments, his tail flicking at the tip in irritation.

Storm is silent a long moment. "I could... convince her... with the Alpha she-wolf of that other pack that nothing else can hurt her. That and with Fire. I dabble...with minds.." he flicks his ears, alitle unsure if he could actually do it. I could tell her to eat...make it an impulse. She perhaps wants cooked food. As before.." the dark male is musing, mostly to himself. But the offer stands. "She wont get better by cowering in a den and starving..." a quiet growl.

A whine is the answer to the sharp tone; surprisingly lupine though torn from a human throat. "No...see Slater. Dumah hide away...Many Dawns...ummm...before...Dumah...taken." a nod, a wide smile, proud to have gotten it out. "Slater...no like...James. James..." a growl. "Pyro want see Slater? " Pointing to his chest. "Take Pyro." an offer, though one that isnt very pretty. He holds up two fingers, "Suns...walk, go...stay... back." he watches the other from the corners of his eyes.As he would a badger or wesil. The sound is echoed. Laughter? It isnt right. Sadness is laced. What does it mean? But he doesnt ask, only stores it in memory for future inquiry.

Pyro gave a soft sigh, and then offered a small smile to the Joined male. "Sorry, I'm not angry with you." he assured him, but he gave a nod at his words. "I understand that. But no. I have nothing to say to him as of now, and if he wants to see me, he'll have to come himself." he stated in a matter-of-fact tone. But then his tone softened, and he gave an almost nervous glance up toward James. "Do you think that we could try to see her?" he asked quietly, as if if the words were soft enough, they wouldn't have as much of an impact of James.

The alpha flicked his ears back. He listened to what the other male had to say, but he exhaled slowly, like a sigh. "If you could do that for me, it would be quite helpful. But," he paused, and then added, "There was no 'before'. She was hardly six moons when my grandfather took her."

Revenge tilted her head to the side slightly as they sat next to the water. Her long tail curled around her paws and her wings spread slightly to accommodate for the new position, considering they were longer than her body, even when folded. She then spoke, "So there are a total of six of us now, then? And I liked the third one you showed me that wasn't occupied," both asking a question and responding to Timmy's.

"Before she was taken." says the male in clarification. "Tonight, I'll need to get...my darker half in order." promises the alpha wolf, he isnt a hunter yet. Not until moon-rise when the packs are....joined properly, formally. Storm Breaking flicks his ears, "My sister is at the fallen log, alone by the river if you want to speak with her now. Hovering will do no-one any good... and i hope that when i'm a hunter...you'll still listen to my advice. " he turns and pads away.Safer.

Her...? A new word. Did he mean Tempest... or Dumah? Perhaps Dumah. "See... Dumah? Try." a shrug after he finnishes speaking, "She no...speak.. James...Pyro." he reminds. "No eat. Bring Fish for packs. Then go. Yes?" another pause as he adjusts his tred and direction acording to his words. "Try.. Dumah eat, speak lupine James-Pyro. Not know, " an encompasing motion to the other and himself. "Try."

"Then it can be yours" He said softly as he lifted the muzzle from the water. "And yes, only six of us, we are a small pack, but a close family. We protect our own and do what we must to survive" He said as he sat there, just staring at the water. "This is the only family my sister and I have ever had."

Pyro gave a short nod when he was asked, 'See Dumah?' and then was told that they could try. He nodded again when James reminded him that Dumah would not speak to them, and that she would not eat. The hunter drew a short breath, and then exhaled again, and nodded a third time. "I suppose. Maybe we can convince her to eat." he responded, trailing after James as he changed direction again.

Shadow had known what Storm had been speaking about, but considering human children did not properly get teeth until they grow further. Dumah probably couldn't have been eating cooked foods at that point, taking that into consideration, and would have been on a diet similar to that of pups until they were three moons, until she could eat solids properly. He drew a breath in and gave a short nod to Storm as he finished speaking and then padded away. Silently, the alpha began to pad back toward the dens. Speaking with Tempest could wait for now. He wanted to be sure that Dumah was alright.

Revenge dipped her nose toward the water, drinking from it quietly as Timmy responded to her. Once she lifted her head, she breathed out, "My last pack was large -- there were nearly twelve of us -- but.." she made a pained sound in the back of her throat, "I had an accident. I was angry, and I... I couldn't control myself. It was the first time I'd ever hurt anyone I'd cared about. When I came to and realized what I had done, I ran. I was too scared to face those that had survived," she snapped her maw shut, staring down at her paws. If she had been human, she would have been crying, and she could feel the need to let the tears flow, but she wouldn't do that until she was alone.

James 'hears' Storm say to meet him and mentally replies he is busy, then the answer that it could wait he supposes. The Joined smiles, despite himself. "Know... fish... with hands?" he asks, staring at the stream with large bass everywhere, and trout. "James Teach Pyro?" a curious moment where he peers at the other. He licks his lips and waits, fish was always taisty, a reprieve from red-meat one can only get in summer when it was warm enough you wouldnt get cold-blisters and frostbite.

"I envy you" She said softly as he looked up at the ceiling. "MY sister and I, we were only a few months old, just able to wander around and play outside when humans found us. Ever since that day, for years they trained us to fight in their pits. A source of entertainment. It wasnt until I died, that my sister finally found her powers and got us both out of there" He said in a soft voice. "I envy you, not for the pain you bear, but for the fact you have memories of a true family."

Pyro tilted his head slightly as he was asked if he knew how to fish with his hands. He furrowed his brows, and then shook his head. "No, I don't." he finally said, and then gave a shrug. When he was asked if James could teach Pyro, he gave a sort of nod. "Yeah, sure. That'd be great." he answered, smiling slightly.

Myra stared at the water, but did not mention that she, too, had been taken by humans, although she had indeed been older when it happened, and that she was forced to fight in pits, although she was tied and the dogs and halfbreed attacking her were not. The monochromatic fae looked over at him, "I had a brother. You remind me of him. The way you talk about things. He was like that." she said. "He would have been alpha of my last pack, if.. If I hadn't broken." she shifted her gaze back to the water. However, the way she spoke of him, made it clear that she had absolutely adored the brother she spoke of. "But my father. My father hated me. I was stronger than him, my brother. I was more powerful, but because I was an Empath and I was... Broken," she snarled the word, venom dripping from each word she spoke, "I was broken. He could tell. He told me I couldn't be Alpha because I wouldn't be able to control myself. He said that I was broken, and he made my brother his heir. It wasn't fair." she glowered at the water, and she didn't realize that she had shifted to her human form until she felt hot, angry tears drip off her chin and onto her slender legs. Panicked, she scrubbed her hands over her face, and seemed absolutely horrified to find that she was, in fact, crying.
