Paige was caught a bit off guard as the guy greeted her, "Uh...Hey..." she said slowing down just a bit for them to easily walk next to each other,
"I'm Paige by the way..." she added as they continued down the street. Paige had noticed that the boy seemed to be completely soaked through and looked rather cold even with the cup of coffee in his hands, "Do you want to maybe go inside somewhere...You look cold."

Bree finally gave up and decided to start walking home. She figured she would pass her mom or dad on the walk if they were coming to get her. She dumped her now empty cup in the trash and pulled her jacket close as if she was clenching the warmth around her. Bree tended to always be cold and if she got wet she was freezing, her brother blamed it on her small size. Being only 5'4 and weighing a hefty 105 pounds it was a bit harder to keep warm but she liked to think it wasn't for that reason. Her brother picked on her for her size a lot but she liked being short. She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly as she glanced up to check the cars going by to see if one was her parents. She mumbled to her self how she really needed to save up and get a good reliable car. She had bought one as soon as she got enough money when she first started her job but it broke down and it was just to much to fix so its getting rusty at the shop's junk yard. She shrugged thinking how at least its her brothers dogs favorite car to lay in so its not completely useless. The crisp air made her wish she could spend all day just outside listening to the rain hit the ground. She hated what the moister did to her hair though, it started to friz at first but then it would just go flat and stick to her head. At the thought of the rain and her hair made her notice that it was starting to drip now it was so wet and she wasn't even half way home yet.

James had made it to the coffee shop about twenty-five minutes later but only to see Bree not sitting in her usual spot. He drove around the parking lot a few times then parked deciding to go inside and see if she was in there. He jogged from his truck to the front entrance so he wouldn't get to wet then when he got inside he herd a voice say that Bree had already left. He sighed and assumed she got a ride with a friend but like usual forgot to text someone telling them. He shrugged it off and just ordered a coffee and sat down at a small table by a window. He watched the rain seeing if it would die down a bit as he drank the hot drink slowly.

"Im Texas. Yeah, it is a little cold outside. Um, sure. I mean, if its no trouble where ever that may be." Texas said in reply to Paige. He smiled slightly. "This coffee is not a very good warmer, if i must say so myself." He was glad someone was acting nice to him. He wondered if she was just putting on this nice person act, as most people tried to act nice to him but normally just ended up walking away. He was weird to many people.

Paige let out a small chuckle at the guys comment on his coffee, "Well, in its' defense, coffee isn't exactly designed to warm people externally. It does better when you drink it but I guess it wont do much for your hands then." she said scanning the stores up a head to see if one looked particularly warm and inviting. Paige pointed towards the large shopping mall figuring it was open because of all the cars in the parking lot surrounding it,
"I bet it's warm in there." she said turning to look at Texas again.

Texas laughed. "Yeah, i suppose. But coffee sure does taste good at least." He then looked in the direction that she was pointing. The mall seemed like an okay place. "Alright, lets go. Better than standing out here in the cold rain." He didnt go to the mall that often, if ever really. He only went there if he needed clothes; his main store being Hot Topic.

[b]Paige nodded and headed towards the mall with Texas, "Coffee is pretty tasty." She smiled heading inside,
"So...how'd you get a name like Texas?" Paige couldn't stop herself from asking though she realized that her question wasn't exactly worded the best way and hoped he didn't get offended.[\b]

"My parents both love to write so uh...yeah they named me Paige. Get it, page like paper but just spelled differently...yeah." She explained rubbing the back of her neck a little bit bashfully. It was truly the story behind her name no matter how cheesy or stupid it was.

"Yeah, i get it. Paige. Thats a nice name. Have your parents published any books or do it just for pleasure?" He was curious. He liked to read most of the time, just depending on the genre. He tended to like horror, even though books were not that scary to him. "And, what about you? Do you like to write?"
