As soon as our porch is finnished my mum said I could take them in there Wich I'm happy about because I'm sure that they would prefere to run around with eachother then get held by a girl whose trying to help her mum not freak out XD

Porches work. I used to play with my rabbits and guinea pigs (lol I have a lot of pets xD) out there but it's full of stuff we don't want them chewing on out there We don't let our rats out because they're small and hyper and can fit almost anywhere.

We were getting my house 'rebuilt' so we gave them to my uncle for about 6 weeks while the work was done, when they came back .... Geez they were huge!
I give my rats bits of my breakfast, snacks, ect but I just want to know how much he gave them o.O Lucky there comming down in size now... lol xD

Have you ever had a rat?: Over the years I have had many. I had about 5 up until about 2 weeks ago I lost my 4 year old and then before that I lost my 5 year old rat about 2 months prior to that.

Total over the last 15 (I didn't start owning rodents until I was 8, I am 23 now) years or so I have had at least 20. I always own in pairs if not more.

Tweak actually happens to have two different colored eyes. You can only tell when shes looking directly into the light. Shes my most hyper rat and I wish I could find a way to calm her down a bit.

Oblina & Pearl (the two I recently lost)
Oblina's death was expected, she was almost 6 and her health had slowly been decreasing. Pearl however developed one mammary tumor. It grew fairly quick and about 2 weeks after the first one appeared she had a second mammary tumor. She died about 2 weeks ago now and I expected her to keep kicking for a while even after the tumors. My last rat that had a tumor before Pearl lasted over a year, Pearl sadly only lasted 3 months after her tumors popped up.

Cleo - Now a few months after I purchased little Cleo here, I came home to find her half dead at the bottom of the cage. I called a Rat Vet immediately. They said she seemed super depressed and had an unknown virus going on where she basically had mucus in her feces. She was basically on the verge of death...Thankfully I brought her back to life and she is fat and healthy now. She was left with a head tilt from the virus.

Dexter is a Rat Terrier. He's suppose to hunt rats but...he actually LOVES them! He tries to get Squirrels though.

Rats are extremely prone to tumors. I have only had 2 out of 20 or so of them actually get them though.

@Sublime: AWW! They're so cute!! Did you adopt them or buy them? We adopted ours. The poor little angels were for adoption for months.No one likes rats anymore I guess D:

Lucky!! My dog is a miniature pincher/chihuahua we think. We adopted her too She's definitely a min pin though. She's a born ratter. She always tries to get at my guinea pigs and rats D: Here's a picture of her being an angel <3

@Brinco, yeah I told everyone in school about how I have rats and they give me really dodgy looks like 'What the hell have you been taking?' XD But I would never give my fatty-ratties up <3

I get that all the time! I just tell them how smart and cute they are. And ofcourse how affectionate they can be
