My username is Licorice Pastels, but you can call me Lico. I'd love for this sweet Mutato to be my first!
Image
I would name this Mutato Höst, which is Autumn in Swedish. Höst just has a nice ring to it, at least to me. Of course, you're judging, so I hope you like it! Swedish has always been a language I love, so I decided Höst was perfect. Some of the names for autumn in different languages are much to long and complicated, so I kept it short and sweet.
Image
The reason I chose Höst was that it means autumn. His Mutato has leaves and bats, which immediately makes me think of autumn. Also, it is Swedish, which is a really cool language in my opinion, as I stated above.
Image
Höst's favorite Halloween movie is It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! He's a soft sweetheart, resulting in his sweet favorite Halloween film. He loves all of the softhearted humor, especially when Charlie Brown goes trick-or-treating. Höst cannot stand horror movies and sticks with the PG stuff.
Image
So...this is my extra. It's a story about Höst, called "Waiting for the Gap"
Höst watched the other mutatos blast by. Their tails a whirlwind of color. One flicked Höst over the nose. He felt like crying. They were all on their way to see The Shining for a late Halloween party. He couldn't go. Movies like that scared him. He was the only one. Slowly, he slumped away. He wished that they saw nicer movies, ones he didn't mind. Then he could make friends, watch movies, and eat popcorn like all of the cool mutatos. But no...he had been born terrified of horror movies. Höst glanced at the last tip of a tail disappearing in to the ramshackle old movie theatre. Maybe he could stand the movie. It couldn't be that bad, could it? Höst smiled and ran in to the movie theatre after the others. He got popcorn and found a seat. The Shining was terrifying. Höst immediately wished he hadn't come. But he couldn't leave now. Oh, no. The other would all call him a wimp. He just tried to block out the sounds with his popcorn's crunching, and squeezed his eyes shut. Soon, the popcorn was gone. He couldn't go get more...not alone, anyway. What if...what if those scary twins came and got him on his way ti the concession stand? What then? Höst felt tears welling in his eyes. He was thirsty. He was scared. But if he left...if he could make himself move from the piteous position in his seat...he would be known as the wimp. The Mutato who couldn't stand to watch scary movies. He frowned in sadness and fear and tried to tough it out for the rest of the movie. At the end, Höst rise with a tremble. The other mutatos were laughing and slapping high-fives at each other. One girl, a Mutato named Kurage, announced, "That absolutely must be the best movie I've ever seen!" She spotted Höst and blinked in surprise. "Höst? I thought you were...scared of horror movies." she said mockingly. The other mutatos were soft of quiet. There was a giggle here and there. "Uh...ni way! I...I'm not scared if anything!" Höst replied hotly, his tail swirling nervously. Kurage shot a glance around the group and smiled. "Okay, then! I dare you to spend the night at the Old Widow's House!" Dead silence met her speech. Höst was terrified at even the name. "Th...the o-old w-w-widow's h-h-h-h-ouse?" he managed to croak. Kurage nodded smugly. "Yep. Alone. All night long. We'll be watching the house. You won't be able to leave." Höst blinked around in horror. The other mutatos were nodding and waiting ti see his reaction. "...um...of course I'll do it! N-nothing scares old Höst!" Höst replied quickly, slipping over his own words. Kurage smiled. "Good, then. I'll see you there tonight." With a laugh, she left the theatre. The other mutatos trailed after her, glancing at Höst as they left. He quickly hurried after them. Of course he couldn't do it! A whole night in the scariest, worst, horrible place imaginable! The old widow's house had an overgrown yard with dead weeds. The house had once been wood but now it was weathered gray strips. There were countless superstitions about the old house, and no one dared a peek inside. Höst swallowed. He had to do it. If he pretended to be sick they'd make him do it when he git better. If he ran away they'd catch him, and call him a wimp! It was all too much to bear. But night was falling. And Höst had to be there. Scared and reluctant, Höst ran with shivering steps to the old house. Kurage and a few uneasy looking mutatos stood in the herd. "Go on," said Kurage. Höst swallowed. Then he braved his way up the stairs of he porch and opened the creaking door. Dark blackness swallowed him as the door behind him slammed shut with a menacing bang. Höst felt a hot tear well in his eye. He was done for. Höst slowly made his way to an old chair. He knew he would stay there all night. Slowly, he curled up and started ti sing. He didn't know why. It just made him feel less lonely. "Never seen a diamond in the flesh," he started, beginning his favorite song, Royal by Lorde. "Cut my teeth on wedding rings, in the movies. And I'm not proud of my address. In a torn-up town. No post-code envy. But every song is like gold teeth, gray goose, trippin' in the bathroom, bloodstains, ball gowns, trashing the hotel room. We don't care, we're driving cadillacs in our dreams. But everybody's like Cristal, Maybach, diamonds on your timepiece, jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash, we don't care. We aren't caught up in your love affair." He sang and sang. The words kept spilling from his mouth until sunlight trickled in through the dust caked window. Höst sprang ti his feet and ran outside. Kurage was gone. So were the others. Too scared to stay. Höst smiled. From then on, life was good. He was known as the bravest Mutato around. He went to every horror movie, watching with satisfaction as Kurage hung back from the movie theatre. But he had one secret...his favorite movie still remained to be [I]It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown![i

I'd like to thank you for making this Mutato, I love it! Very nice pattern. I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread, and watch my form...I'll keep updating it!

{~Your Username~} I'm Peachpie1164, but call me Peachy ^^ I currently own no Mutato's.
{~Name of the Mutato~} Spooks.
{~Reason for choosing the name~} Because he's a Halloweeny, and Halloween is spooky ^^
{~What is your favorite Halloween movie?~} Mine? Well I haven't seen many, because I get scared easily, but I do like Corpse Bride and Nightmare before Christmas, but I'm not sure whether they can be classified as Halloween movies.

Hello, my username is kristatheepic, although I wouldn't mind
being called Krista or Inka.
Image
If you let me have the honor of winning this Mutato, I would
name it Raven.
Image
I have plenty of reasoning for choosing this name. Firstly, I love it.
It has a natural, yet somewhat dark feel. Ravens are one of my
favorite breeds of bird. They're beautiful and somewhat mysterious.
The name "Raven" seems to perfectly suit what I believe the theme
or feel of this Mutato was meant to be, and I believe that the
name is very fitting. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
Image
My favorite Halloween movie would have to be, "The Nightmare Before
Christmas." I've loved it since it came out. I feel like it incorporates
two completely different holidays into one movie. I'd never seen
that before, and it was a very interesting feel.

ɛxтrα~
Image
It was a dark, lonely night. The unnamed Mutato walked on through the sea of
black and emptiness. There were no trick-or-treaters outside. Nothing.
The feeling of solitude crept slowly into the Mutato's heart, and he began
to walk faster, as he could not fly, hurrying home back to his house, where
he would head up to the study for some solitary time. At least then it would
feel safe in there.
Lost in thought, the Mutato suddenly and sharply halted. If he walked without
thinking, he was sure to be killed. He sat down on a nearby bench to think.
He used to be happy. Never questioning why he didn't have a name. His parents
didn't name him before they died. The Mutato had tried to go to public school,
but it just was unfit for one without a name. He did most of his schooling alone,
teaching himself based on the words of books.
He never had thought of it as a lonely or sad life. Just a normal one. He decided,
then and there while standing up from the moldy bench, that he would name
himself. Something fitting. Something amazing. Something he liked.
An owl called through the night. The sound pierced the blackness and
shook the Mutato from his sweet daydreams. No more hiding from
reality. He had to face the real world.
A raven answered the call. The Mutato stared up the willow tree and
studied the graceful bird.
Dark and beautiful, the raven stopped calling to adjust her feathers. She
looked down at him with a feeling of disdain. No empathy of any
sort showed in her eyes as she called out with great finality and flew off.
He watched her as she flew until she could not be seen anymore.
The Mutato decided that he wanted his name to be Raven. Permanently labeled,
forever known as Raven.

The origin of how and where pumpkin carving started is currently unknown. Though it is truly unknown and there are many speculations, there is a belief that it originated in Ireland. In Ireland, turnips, pumpkins and gourds were all carved out and actually used as lanterns for guiding on Hallows Eve.
The name I chose for this mutato is part of the phase or words of "treoir a thabhairt". These words are an Irish phase/words that most closely translates to "guide" in English.

It's kind of hard for me to describe my love of this mutatos theme and why I would adore it so
            but here I go -
Autumn has been my favorite season since I was a child. The beautiful colors of the trees and the falling leaves.
I have always loved to go outside and play in the leaves and watch them fall from the branches of the trees in the wind.
Carving pumpkins and painting them with my family has always been something I enjoyed as a kid and wish we would do more often now that I am a bit older. And all the delicious pumpkin flavored foods that come with autumn just can't be topped!
So you can see why its just natural for me to be attracted to the thought of a pumpkin themed mutato<3

Thank you for the opportunity to apply for adopting this mutato c:
            Good luck to everyone else!

Username: Kookiez
Name: Hallowscream
Behind the Name: One day a young Hallowscream was sitting outside of her house on a crisp October afternoon, when the sky was set aflame with the burning daylight that sped by faster than she could blink. As she gazed dreamily upon the glittering ocean waters that reflected this perfect scene, a black cat ran across her path, and- since she is greatly paranoid- she jumped to her feet and took to the skies. Hallowscream flew for hours, landing on the roof of a tall building when the great clock tower chimed midnight, when it was finally Halloween. Suddenly she heard screams below her as a human cried out "A cursed fiend perched as a gargoyle! Be no fool to its innocent gaze, and fine yourself dropped like a stone as it bewitches you to a lifeless slumber!" Of course, this was in the older times when everyone talked kind of funny, so of course there would be this one great, philosophical person crying 'wolf' in the middle of the night as soon as he spotted something unusual. Hallowscream glided to the ground and looked to the human, greatly offended by his words, but as she tried to explain herself, the townsfolk gathered and started blaming each other for her appearance, soon causing the whole town to scream. "It is a Halloween Scream fest!" Said the man. "A Hallowscream!"

*poor story for the name, I know*

Favorite Halloween Movie: There are many movies I like to watch before or during Halloween. My two most favorite ones would be "The Corpse's Bride" and "The Fright before Christmas," both starring Tim Burton. Of course, I love his unusual and creative arts that seem to actually try and scare you, unlike some of the other shows I watch, such as "Scary Godmother" and "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!" Either way, I really enjoy all of those scary movies, but between those two, I would have to say I prefer The Corpse's Bride the best, for it not only includes a romance, but actually holds some more suspense (in my opinion) than The Fright before Christmas.
Extra: Ever since that day, Hallowscream has been giving humans nightmares by slipping down their chimneys and sprinkling "nightmare dust" (reference from the dream event) in their homes and then leaving without a whisper.

{Your Username} .cheryl. (never gotten a mutato :c (sad, isn't it?))
hope i get this one, it very pretty!

{Name of the Mutato} Couleur Feuille,which is a pretty name(it is to me),is french.
His Nickname is Coule. The name is original, and i like it ;)

{Reason for choosing the name}
In Autumn, the leaves change colors and this mutato has like
a "Autumn" theme to it so that's a nice name for him.
And Autumn is very colorful.

{What is your favorite Halloween movie?}
The Nightmare Before Christmas

{Extra}
2 Haikus about Coule:
Autumn starts, Leaves Change
They fall all around the ground
All in a pile

As the leaves fall down
Slowly, it glides in the wind
Carried Some Place Else

+Your Username
SnowBoundStar
+Name of the Mutato
Soaringleaf
++Reason for choosing the name: I chose this name because, 1st: The flying bats (soaring) and the leaves (leaf), 2nd: I thought it was a really nice name and perfectly suited such a creature, 3rd: Soaringleaf seems like the best name option i could come up with...
+What is your favorite Halloween movie?
My favorite Halloween movie would have to be... It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, mostly because i grew up with it, watching it every Halloween with my family, aww the memories :D
Extra-
Soaringleaf was a normal mutatoe, for the most part, until she got her pattern, it was different, too different from everyone else's. "Her coloration is scary!" some would say, "Look at those hideous bats on her!" Others would say. She didn't belong there anymore, so she flew off, landing on a building miles away. "Dare I go, even look back?" Soaringleaf asked herself many times, "I'm practically in exile, since I can't return." She sat atop a tall building for a moment and then took off again. "Look at that! It's a group of bats!" a human said, "No, it's a leaf a soaring leaf." the other human corrected. 'Soaringleaf' she thought 'that's it! I'll help those poor leaves be free such as I. I will give them meaning!' So Soaringleaf, following her path of freedom, changed the color of leaves in the crisp fall and caused them to fall. She had found a way to hide herself and shake the leaves down lightly. 'I have meaning, I am Soaringleaf the beacon of hope for all those lost.' She thought,'The teasing I got saved me, I found my true self and I now claim a name, the name, Soaringleaf.'
