My username is Licorice Pastels, but you can call me Lico. I'd love for this sweet Mutato to be my first!

I would name this Mutato Höst, which is Autumn in Swedish. Höst just has a nice ring to it, at least to me. Of course, you're judging, so I hope you like it! Swedish has always been a language I love, so I decided Höst was perfect. Some of the names for autumn in different languages are much to long and complicated, so I kept it short and sweet.

The reason I chose Höst was that it means autumn. His Mutato has leaves and bats, which immediately makes me think of autumn. Also, it is Swedish, which is a really cool language in my opinion, as I stated above.

Höst's favorite Halloween movie is It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! He's a soft sweetheart, resulting in his sweet favorite Halloween film. He loves all of the softhearted humor, especially when Charlie Brown goes trick-or-treating. Höst cannot stand horror movies and sticks with the PG stuff.

So...this is my extra. It's a story about Höst, called "Waiting for the Gap"
Höst watched the other mutatos blast by. Their tails a whirlwind of color. One flicked Höst over the nose. He felt like crying. They were all on their way to see The Shining for a late Halloween party. He couldn't go. Movies like that scared him. He was the only one. Slowly, he slumped away. He wished that they saw nicer movies, ones he didn't mind. Then he could make friends, watch movies, and eat popcorn like all of the cool mutatos. But no...he had been born terrified of horror movies. Höst glanced at the last tip of a tail disappearing in to the ramshackle old movie theatre. Maybe he could stand the movie. It couldn't be that bad, could it? Höst smiled and ran in to the movie theatre after the others. He got popcorn and found a seat. The Shining was terrifying. Höst immediately wished he hadn't come. But he couldn't leave now. Oh, no. The other would all call him a wimp. He just tried to block out the sounds with his popcorn's crunching, and squeezed his eyes shut. Soon, the popcorn was gone. He couldn't go get more...not alone, anyway. What if...what if those scary twins came and got him on his way ti the concession stand? What then? Höst felt tears welling in his eyes. He was thirsty. He was scared. But if he left...if he could make himself move from the piteous position in his seat...he would be known as the wimp. The Mutato who couldn't stand to watch scary movies. He frowned in sadness and fear and tried to tough it out for the rest of the movie. At the end, Höst rise with a tremble. The other mutatos were laughing and slapping high-fives at each other. One girl, a Mutato named Kurage, announced, "That absolutely must be the best movie I've ever seen!" She spotted Höst and blinked in surprise. "Höst? I thought you were...scared of horror movies." she said mockingly. The other mutatos were soft of quiet. There was a giggle here and there. "Uh...ni way! I...I'm not scared if anything!" Höst replied hotly, his tail swirling nervously. Kurage shot a glance around the group and smiled. "Okay, then! I dare you to spend the night at the Old Widow's House!" Dead silence met her speech. Höst was terrified at even the name. "Th...the o-old w-w-widow's h-h-h-h-ouse?" he managed to croak. Kurage nodded smugly. "Yep. Alone. All night long. We'll be watching the house. You won't be able to leave." Höst blinked around in horror. The other mutatos were nodding and waiting ti see his reaction. "...um...of course I'll do it! N-nothing scares old Höst!" Höst replied quickly, slipping over his own words. Kurage smiled. "Good, then. I'll see you there tonight." With a laugh, she left the theatre. The other mutatos trailed after her, glancing at Höst as they left. He quickly hurried after them. Of course he couldn't do it! A whole night in the scariest, worst, horrible place imaginable! The old widow's house had an overgrown yard with dead weeds. The house had once been wood but now it was weathered gray strips. There were countless superstitions about the old house, and no one dared a peek inside. Höst swallowed. He had to do it. If he pretended to be sick they'd make him do it when he git better. If he ran away they'd catch him, and call him a wimp! It was all too much to bear. But night was falling. And Höst had to be there. Scared and reluctant, Höst ran with shivering steps to the old house. Kurage and a few uneasy looking mutatos stood in the herd. "Go on," said Kurage. Höst swallowed. Then he braved his way up the stairs of he porch and opened the creaking door. Dark blackness swallowed him as the door behind him slammed shut with a menacing bang. Höst felt a hot tear well in his eye. He was done for. Höst slowly made his way to an old chair. He knew he would stay there all night. Slowly, he curled up and started ti sing. He didn't know why. It just made him feel less lonely. "Never seen a diamond in the flesh," he started, beginning his favorite song, Royal by Lorde. "Cut my teeth on wedding rings, in the movies. And I'm not proud of my address. In a torn-up town. No post-code envy. But every song is like gold teeth, gray goose, trippin' in the bathroom, bloodstains, ball gowns, trashing the hotel room. We don't care, we're driving cadillacs in our dreams. But everybody's like Cristal, Maybach, diamonds on your timepiece, jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash, we don't care. We aren't caught up in your love affair." He sang and sang. The words kept spilling from his mouth until sunlight trickled in through the dust caked window. Höst sprang ti his feet and ran outside. Kurage was gone. So were the others. Too scared to stay. Höst smiled. From then on, life was good. He was known as the bravest Mutato around. He went to every horror movie, watching with satisfaction as Kurage hung back from the movie theatre. But he had one secret...his favorite movie still remained to be [I]It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown![i
I'd like to thank you for making this Mutato, I love it! Very nice pattern. I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread, and watch my form...I'll keep updating it!
