When it comes to original species, what is your favourite way of 'spreading' them? (auctions, draw-to-adopt, customs, form adopts, etc) Or do prefer a combination?
anything straight and to the point. ;o; i tend to lean toward customs and form adopts the most.
i hate auctions.

I was actually thinking about this not too long ago. I think a CAAA trivia contest would be really cool! :3 Questions about our club like, how many members are there, who came up with the idea for the club? what inspired that person to come up with the idea? who ran with that idea and made it into a reality? etc. :3 I think this would probably be more appropriate for an anniversary of the club sort of event though. X3

Well, there should obviously be a Thanksgiving and Christmas event! I also think a Theme or Collab Contest would be nice events. I guess I should elaborate more.

The Theme Contest is sort of like the daily challenge on ChickenSmoothie, but it is more challenging. Every week, we give a word and the participants can interpret it into any meaning. ex. 'Family', and I might draw my herd of equine characters together. Maybe, I would draw my dragon Veltano thinking of his family. The most creative and original ones would win!

The Collab Contest could be a contest where about five people work together on a piece of artwork. They will have to have their character in that piece of art, and it must have a certain theme.

I think draw-to-adopts are great for artists and people who aren't good at writing. It is also quick and simple to judge. Customs should be for staff only, since I belive allowing customs would be very messy. Form adopts are more for the writers or a mix of both artist and writer. It is the most common and is good for everyone. I think auctions should be used at the beginning, or in events. I don't think they should be occasional unless it is something dearly special to you. In my opinion, I like draw-to-adopts and form adopts. Guessing games are great too!

I actually am really fond of form adoptables, since I can see who is truly pouring their heart and soul into getting a character - this way I know they actually plan on doing something with the character ha
I dislike auctions the way most are set up, too messy imo. Not a fan of DTA's either, especially if say a really popular and talented artist joins there is no way to level the playing field which leaves those who aren't art gods out in the dust.
And customs are always fun lol, I love doing customs because I actually have inspiration there
