I'm a little bias, because of my specific skills, but I like a combination of different ones.
Long forms are my speciality, but there are those that aren't very good with writing and prefer drawing etc so... A mix is good ^^

I've been wanting to reopen a species myself and have been thinking about this a bit. I would say mix. Forms are great but some people are not good writers and same goes for drawing. Buying is awesome for the artist but some people just can't afford. So I say forms, auctions, and the occasional raffle seem the fairest to me
