Hundreds of people walk past our apartment block every day. Not one of them suspects a thing - or so we hope. For now, we are safe here. Of course, mortals have no need to fear us. We are not like The Darkos. We did not lay a claw on the humans. But for one's actions, a whole society is blamed. We were not the ones who used our power - our gift - to harm these people. We should not be shunned, hunted down for his actions. Our homes were burnt down. Our people killed. A handful of our kind have escaped, and now live in hiding, trying to go about our daily business as normal without our cover being blown. Of course, it is hard. Anger, fear, alarm, and, sometimes, love can trigger it - the reaction. The reaction that we have so desperately tried to hide.
We can't let anyone find out what we are. For we are Shapeshifters.
We are The Shunned

Shapeshifters used to live among mortals. They were accepted. The Shifters began to be known as humans. Some didn't like that, The Darkos. They wanted to be different. And they showed that in a most violent way. Killing humans. This made mortals realize that there was something in their blood - something that could be triggered by certain emotions. Something dangerous. They didn't want to live in fear of the Shapeshifters, so they began to cull them. In their eyes, the Shifters were vermin. Rabid creatures. Some escaped and grouped up - they live in a small apartment building, hiding together. They believe they are the last of their kind, and to survive they must blend in with the mortals.

You can be anything!
If you are a Shapeshifter, you may have a power, and change into 1 animal of your choice.
Shapeshifters/The Shunned - They all live in the apartment building, and can be studying at school, working in the city, looking after their family - whatever!
Humans - They can be co-workers or fellow students to the Shapeshifters, dislike Shifters or believe that Shifters aren't bad - you choose!
Darkos - Of course, not all of The Darkos were caught. Some could still be on the prowl for human blood . . . some could still be living among us in the building - who knows?!
Hunters - These guys are still looking for Shapeshifters. They tend to trust no-one, and will often provoke you to see if they can trigger the reaction. If they catch you, well, you better start praying!

At the moment, he has no love interest. His only remaining family is his younger sister, Vegas. Currently, he works as a doctor at the local hospital. No one in the apartment block - not even Vegas - knows that he is one of The Darkos
He has the ability to create fire from his paws or hands - when angry, this is uncontrollable

At the moment, she has no love interest. Her only remaining family is her older brother, Avery. Currently, she goes to the local Highschool
She has the ability to heal the wounds of those she touches - Although at the moment, she can only make it work on small injuries

Shapeshifter/Shunned.

Miyuki has short scruffy ginger hair with some hints of red. Her eyes are a deep blue with small flecks of Emerald green and pale yellow. She stands at 6'5" and has pale skin with freckles. She has glasses that have a fire design.

Right now she has no intentions of being in a relationship.

At the moment she's in the local High school that Vegas attends.

She's able to make objects out of many things, Water, earth, air, fire, metal, and other things but she can't do wood for some reason.

ᴡ ᴇ ɪ ɢ ʜ ᴛ • A tiny underweight, but that's what happens when you're on the streets.
ʙ ᴜ ɪ ʟ ᴅ • Not curvy, not flat as a board, just average honestly.
ʜ ᴀ ɪ ʀ • Originally ginger, but dyed to look brighter, and cut rather short as long hair can get annoying.
ᴇ ʏ ᴇ s • "Simply green, although those contacts make them look kind of cool, yeah? They're sort of big looking, but I'd prefer that not to be commented on."
ʟ ɪ ᴘ s • Not much other than the top lip is noticeably thinner than the bottom, but it's not like that was important.
s ᴋ ɪ ɴ • Oddly pale, despite how long she goes outside.

ʙ ᴀ ᴄ ᴋ ɢ ʀ ᴏ ᴜ ɴ ᴅ • Robin isn't the friendliest person you'll ever meet, but then again, she simply doesn't trust people. Once you get to know her, she's a sweetheart, but that's a bit hard to do.

Using her sarcasm as an outer shell, Robin tries to keep herself distant from others around her. She'd had enough bullying the time she had been in middle school, so she started using sarcasm to counter their insults while hiding it all inside. After a while, people started to think she was just rude, and knowing what they did to her, she went along with it. If they wanted to go and say that, it was fine. They were the boring ones, after all. Just because she uses sarcasm, though, it doesn't mean she spits out everything that's ever on her mind. She's actually kind of quiet unless you either provoke her or get her to open up, and it is much easier to do one than the other.

Trusting isn't a word that can accurately describe Robin. Trustworthy, sure, but not trusting. She had hid her secret abilities for what seemed like forever, so she definitely knows how to keep a secret. To her, though, it seems like no one else does. Even on the streets, she could easily hear men and women, lying to each other constantly. In fact, she even took a bit of an interest in telling how people lied. For a while she used the local library computers to search things like body language and microexpressions - at least until she got banned from there. Not that she can tell exactly when people are lying, but she is not as easily fooled anymore.

Once you get past her outer layer - which, if you've done, bravo - Robin can be really sweet. Beneath all that sarcasm, she actually has a heart, it's just a bit hard to get that far. She is definitely loyal to the people she can trust, but that doesn't mean she'd lay down her life or anything. She will be willing to listen to what you have to say, and she will show that she cares, but if you ever expect to get anything this nice out of her, you better be willing to tell the truth.

These days she simply tends to hang around outside the local highschool, not really enrolled, just sort of there.

ʟ ɪ ᴋ ᴇ s • Music - especially classic rock for the guitars and drums, but any kind of sound unique to what's currently on the radio sparks her interest - and indirect revenge.
ᴅ ɪ s ʟ ɪ ᴋ ᴇ s • Bullying, directed or created by or at any person, and - this cannot be stressed enough - liars.
ғ ᴇ ᴀ ʀ s • She has a secret case of mycophobia - the fear of mushrooms. Not that it would ever come up, so she feels no need to bring it to attention. Other than that, she's simply scared to be caught by a hunter.
