Free for the Chance (A Dragon RP)

Ice stared at the lake water. She was almost a young adult, but Nyx still worried because she was a runt.

"Well, I went to sleep, and when I woke up you and Ice were gone." Nyx said.

Goldenscale felt herself dozing off and hit a tree because of it. She had only closed her eyes for a second, but even then, she couldn't avoid it. Hitting the tree though woke her up a bit more and she flew a bit faster. She still wasn't very big (and was a bit annoyed because of it) so she didn't shake the tree much. She wouldn't have alerted anything because the sound didn't echo. She flew even faster, wanting to find it.

Thorn, though he didn't know it, was flying in the opposite direction as Goldenscale.

Zark nodded. "Alright...maybe her scent is still fresh enough to track. We should head back to the cave." he suggested.

Taiyo

Deciding it was about time to get moving, I slid down out of the tree and onto the ground. I yawned widely, still drowsy from having dozed off. I looked up into the sky, then towards the edge of the cliff I was on. I ran forward and dove off the side, free falling for a few seconds before turning upwards and rising into the sky.

Goldenscale continued to fly through the forest, but noticed her link with Thorn weakening. She had no idea why, so she left for the cave to see if he was there.

"Ok." Nyx said. She began to fly back to the cave. Nyx stopped and looked back to see if Zark was following.

Zark soared behind Nyx, using the thermals as much as possible.

Thorn banked left, disappearing into a small mountain pass. He shot out the other side, following a scent that was...odd-smelling.

When Goldenscale made it back to her cave, she noticed he wasn't there. Though she knew it shouldn't worry her, she was a bit distressed that he was gone. The was that odd creature roaming around, and she didn't know where it was or who it would attack next. She then left the cave once more and tried to trace his aura so that she could make sure he was safe.

Thorn growled slightly, letting a few sparks fly from his nose as the stench—for it was a stench—got much stronger. He flapped hard, rising many feet into the air, trying to clear his nose.

As I flew, I started seeing other dragons. I considered trying to introduce myself to them, but my shyer side took over and I decided against it.
