To say it in a few words, Flashy, High Spirited, Intelligent, and Sensitive.
She is probably one of the most Look-at-me horses in the stable, but she usally does not have to ask for it. Her natural beauty takes over the show. I currently have one other "Show horse" that is really bred to compete, Paribliss, my Holstein stallion that I could brag about all day, but lets get one more in~!

Lets go over a few basics. She is still very young and has very recently got her certificate of training for the rookies, she is still "green", but is as sweet as a kitten. She stands at 15.1hh and weighs about 9000Ibs.

She is always happy it seems. She befriends everyone and everything including the racks on the walls, her new light pink saddle pad, and the barns new kittens. This might seem weird but all of the cats at the stable stock her constantly(in a good way). She adores them and in return they adore her. I snapped a few pics of her in the pasture grazing with a cat on her back. It is REALLY cute~

She is obsessed with knocking down any broom, poop picker, rake, etc.
She also loves chewing on peoples expensive riding gloves that they leave hanging around stupidly. All you can say is sorry and give them back their shredded gloves, and hope that she did not swallow any of that leather.

You would not think of her as a crazy, stubborn, bucking horse. She is hyper active, but not in that way.
She has an amazingly smooth gate, so relaxing but at the same time ground covering~

Let me name some things that she does not like.... ah ha ha.... this is hard.
Oh yes, cold weather. If you ever want to see Falla in a grumpy mood come when it is snowing and such, or even a cold rain!
She is just a... well... a mare!
The nice thing is that you can actually break this mood.
Want to know the secret?

*whispers* Singing Jingle Bells

Yes, this horse ADORES that song, she is just crazy about it! Her ears will perk, and she will literaly start dancing~
Before I start to bore you to death let me think of something else about her.

Oh yes, her discipline. She is an all around horse in English, yes, she does not do western we are sorry to day.
She can jump, but that is not her main thing. I would guess Falla is primarily a showmanship, equation, and maybe some slight dressage. She can do most of anything but those are the main ones, particularly equation and showmanship.
Why equation? She is amazing with her lead changes, direction, speeds, any of that controlling stuff. Falla responds amazingly!
She also has probably one of the best ground manners, with an intermediate/advanced rider who can handle her. She is good with kids, but she is just a little too hyper. She would never be a good lesson hose because she bonds with people like crazy.

I do not know TOO much about her history but I will try my best.
From what I know is her mom was transported from Turkmenistan to here(what a long ways!) when she was a young horse, she had the sweet temper, just like her filly Falla. I can just remember the name of her mother. It was Persian and hard to remember. Something like SheereenParvaneh I believe. This means 'Sweet Butterfly' in Persian and is pronounced Shee-reen Par-van-ey.

Well, to get back to the history Falla's mother was bred to an amazing Akhal-Teke stallion named LibelluleZaffrechino, who had an amazing stride, gate and all of that stuff. Libellule means dragonfly in French and is pronounced Li-bee-oo, Zaffrechino is some blue color with 'ino' added to the end.
Well, as a result we have ZaffreFarfalla.

Falla was born at a Akhal-teke breeding farm, the one that her father was bred and stayed, and was started on training very young. When they started riding her she was amazing never seemed to take a wrong step. They trained her till they got her training certificate about five months ago. I have been looking for an akhal-teke for long time and decided to look around at about that time. When I got their I instantly fell in love with Falla, who had the best personality of all. I am telling you.... these people took a lot of convincing before they finally decided I could buy her exclusively, and she was not cheap trust me! But she has payed it all of being one of the best little mares In the whole wide world!

Well, I have to tell you about Falla And The Kittens.
Falla had first come to the stable when she started making friends with the cats, but her first friends was Sparkle and the Snappy Cat Gang kittens. Sparkle, the mama cat, was due in a week when Falla moved in. Sparkles usual home was in Falla's stall as it had been empty before, and was quite disturbed when Falla moved in. Falla & Sparkle immediately made friends because Falla was so gentle with her. By the end of the week Sparkle would some how get up on Falla's back and sit up their and groom herself. The day before Sparkle had her kittens she found the box that we had put out for her. The weird cat did apparently did not like the location we put the box so she distinctively emptied the box of our towels and blankets, dragged the not-so-big, not-so-small box thrue Falla's horse run fence, and dragged it into the stall. With Falla's long neck she reached out and grabbed her saddle pad which was hanging outside the stall door and flopped it onto the ground in her stall where Sparkle picked it up and dragged it into her box to make some cushioning and went back and grabbed one of the soft towels she had left behind.

The next morning we woke up to find no Sparkle, no box, and our towels scattered everywhere, not to mention Falla's missing saddle blanket. All day we went around looking for Sparkle, not thinking to look in the corner of Falla's stall until Sparkle appered out of no where to get her lunch. We all froze and looked around at each other. Waiting for her to finish, and then slowly tip toed while following her back to wherever she hid her kittens. Well, she decided to have some fun and she led us all around the farm. We seriously walked for a half an hour, followed her around I mean. One time she stopped, looked back at us, and lead us behind one of the barns only to show us her collection of dead rats form last week.
Finally she gave up and hopped into Fallas stall to nurse the kittens. We did not belive it at first, but their they where, five of them~ In a messy little nest filled with a muddy towel, and a shavings-covered saddle blanket.
Falla and Sparkle seemed quite proud and happy with their new family, and the babies were happy too.

Weeks passed and even today the still-growing kittens sleep in Falla's stall, while their mother teaches them how to perch on Falla's back.
Well, I guess all we can say is that they have lived happily ever meow, and that these little fella's will never be friendless!

Thank you for all of the help from Akhal-Teke Society of America, which I got most of my akhal-teke info on!
I have learned so much in making this entry that I have not just hopefully won this little chick, but earned so much knowledge on this awesome breed~
