A NightSeeker is a cat-like creature that prowls and lives in dark. NightSeekers are adapted to live in their dark habitats, they have large eyes that glow brightly and some have magical markings called "Runes", depending on their runes, they may even have abilities and powers. It's uncommon for a NightSeeker to have Runes, so it's very rare when NightSeekers have a lot of Runes. NightSeekers have only been recently tamed and domesticated by a team of scientists- Not everyone is fit to own a NightSeeker, but there are a lot of different NightSeekers! Can you tame the heart of a NightSeeker?

↷ Aʟʟ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ NɪɢʜᴛSᴇᴇᴋᴇʀs ;;
NightSeekers are a species recently found on an island known as NightSky Island, where various other never-before-seen species made their home. One scientist reports, "It was upside down. Like the universe and space were the Earth, and Earth was out of reach, way up in the sky." Now, a team of scientists are studying the island and it's inhabitants...


Hᴀʙɪᴛᴀᴛ -
NightSeekers spend their entire life in their cave homes, never leaving due to fear of what lurks in the outside world. Various small groups of NightSeekers all live in the same cavernous system. It is thought that they spend their lives in these caves for protection, the sun would likely hurt their sensitive eyes, and the other predator species that live on the island could prove to be dangerous.


Dɪᴇᴛ -
In their cavernous environment, big game prey is rare and hard to come by, so they usually eat smaller creatures. They eat a variety of rodents-like beasts and even the occasional small mammal that makes it's home in caves. Cave dwelling beasts fall victim to these predators, marking NightSeekers to be carnivorous.




Cᴏʟᴏʀs -
NightSeekers are usually dull colors, never being too bright due to their dark environment. The color of their nose is also the color of their paws and tongue. While the color of their eyes is also the same as their glow and their runes, their glow color is also the color of their blood. It's very rare for there to be brighter colors and even more rare for albino NightSeekers, NightSeekers with mismatched eyes or rune colors are also rare.


Bᴜɪʟᴅ -
NightSeekers are large panther-like creatures. They are muscular and lean, and have big paws with large, sharp hooked claws. Their paw pads are rough and course from their cave homes and their hearing is sensitive due to the silence of the caverns. NightSeeker's have large fangs which are roughly around the size of a Bornean Clouded leopard's, which are around 2 inches long, the longest fangs on a living feline species. They have thick marsupial-like tail, which they use to shovel away small rocks and make nests. NightSeekers also have heavy fur, which protects them from their chilly habitats.


Rᴜɴᴇs -
While most NightSeeker's don't have Runes, a lucky few do. Runes are marking on the NightSeeker's pelt, which glow and emit light. These Runes grant the NightSeekers special powers...


LɪғᴇSᴛʏʟᴇ -
NightSeekers usually live alone or in small groups. They tend to mate for life, sticking with their mates to form pairs. NightSeekers kits are usually kicked out into the world when they are old enough to fend for themselves, although sometimes their kits are helpless and stay with their parents. The kicked out kits may form a group with their siblings, working together to hunt and only staying together until they get mates and form their own group.

ʙᴀʙʏ NɪɢʜᴛSᴇᴇᴋᴇʀs -
Baby NightSeekers are generally called Nightlings. Nightlings are born with folded ears and light, soft skin, which gives the NightSeeker the 'blushing' look. Nightlings eye's do not glow, as to not tell predators their location. Their eye glow and any Runes develop in their teen stage, which is also when their ears straighten and they lose the 'blush'. Some Nightlings may never grow up or get bigger, these are called, Forever Nightlings, or FN. Forever Nightlings not only look like babies forever, but they also act like babies. Forever NightSeekers cannot date or find mates, but they still may develop crushes and such.
