The brute's ebony tail waved back and forth on the rocky bottom, sending at least two pebbles scattering with each wag. His ears worked as satellites above his head, constantly angling for any sounds. Anything at all that could become of interest. Alas, there was nothing this fine morning. Just the very distant voices of the mutts in Wayra Pack. The very thought of them brewed a rumble deep in his throat, which, as it surfaced, became the most truest of growls. The appearance of Incendious and Ansuz snapped his mind back to what was currently important: his pack. Quidel. Koda nodded a greeting in response to Ansuz, then did the same for the fae, Incendious. Who does that leave, then? Kage, Akira, Natasha, Illusion, Aphrodite, and Ella. The brute offered up one last bark on the stragglers' behalves. A lot needed to be done today, so it was best to start early.
As Koda sat in wait, his mind slipped into daydreaming. This was common for him, as it stimulated his mind and kept his boredom from boiling up and spilling over. This time, the fantasy was of a hunt. Not just any hunt, a Pack Hunt. A hunt that included the entire pack: Alpha in front, Beta right behind. The rest of the pack members, then the omegas. All running together, all under the command of a single wolf. The fact that they had the ability to work with such unity made the obsidian brute grin a bit. But suddenly, it was all ruined. A white wolf was running to catch up with Quidel. After a moment, Koda recognized the vixen as Winter, Wayra Alpha. That was it for Koda, and he shook his entire body to rid his mind of its most recent fantasy.

The early fall blades made an ever so slight crunch as each snowy paw was placed carefully upon the ground. Icy blue irises danced with the light of the dawn sun, getting brighter now that the mist had disintegrated once more. As it does every morning. Kimaya had revised her course a bit, now heading in a more eastern direction. She wasn't aiming for an particular location, although the hope of prey burned inside her, mostly in the vixen's stomach. She hadn't eaten since last night, and such an active fae as herself needed food to keep up with the lifestyle. As if summoned by her very own hunger, the scent of deer wafted her way. Kimaya followed ever so silently, not wanting to give the deer anything to be alarmed by. However, as she got closer, another scent wafted from the ground. Wayra. The ivory wolf now stood on the border of Wayra Pack. The thought, though, did not do a single thing to stop her. She was a loner, and in her mind, loners came and went as they pleased, not restricted by any dumb war. So, with ginger paws, Kimaya entered Wayra territory, hot on the scent trail of deer.
After a while more, she saw the hooves herbivores. There was one male, made apparent by the decor on his head. Along with him were three mature females and two fawns. Kimaya's stomach demanded one of the older females, but the vixen was no fool. Bringing down a mature whitetail by herself would be a difficult task that she did not currently have the energy for. So instead, her blue eyes locked upon the larger fawn. The snowy vixen crouched, stalking closer. She was downwind of the deer, which was an advantage all on it's own. Plus, with the cover of trees and undergrowth now, Kimaya was able to blend in, even with her brilliant white coat. Slowly but surely, she crept closer. Closer. Until she went for the kill. The shock in the deers' eyes were genuine. They had not noticed the wolf stalking the . The mature deeds had a developed instinct, making their legs move instantly. The fawns, though slower, retreated as well. But Kimaya was hot on their tails. It didn't take long for her target fawn to stumble, which gave the vixen a chance to overtake it. The snowy fae bit down on the fawn's neck, and all was silent once more. Kimaya had food, and the deer herd had one less member.
