Kirra's form wrote:Appearance:
Kirra is a girl of about 5'0". Her hair is Brown. It's very thick and curves just at the tips, if she leaves it down, but often finds it unmanageable and hot to leave it down and instead pulls it back behind her in a makeshift ponytail. It keeps it off of her neck and out of her face. She has light brown eyes and sometimes when the light hit's it just right it turns a bright orangish color, and lightly tanned skin. She used to have paler skin, but has gotten darker the longer she has been out looking for her dinosaur. Kirra has a small scar on her left eye that is slightly noticeable. Though, there are no other distinguishing marks; no freckles or moles. She is rather "built" for a girl, having more of a athletic build to her and after training to be a rider, she's grown stronger than before.
Personality:
Ever since a little girl, Kirra has always been a handful. She is one of those "thick-headed" people that does as they please without really worrying about the consequences that may come from her actions and most of that comes from her stubborn attitude. When she gets her mind set on something, she does it. Telling her she can't do it, will only provoke her to want to do it more; to prove the person wrong. Her competitive side gets the best of her sometimes as she refuses to back down and hates to be wrong. But when it comes Family and friends she would do anything in her power to help them. Even with her hot headed attitude she is always happy and trying to make others happy to. Fun and outgoing and always up for an adventure. The number one thing she really plans on doing most of her time is being there for her first dino, whenever she may capture him.
First Impression:
Hurt and angry,
"The first thing I noticed about him was his pale slender like body and his bright red eyes. As I shifted down to look at his body I noticed to his ankle was a metal chain hooked around him slightly rusted as it looked like it had been on there for a while. His rough features hinted that he was forcefully captured without being able to bond with anyone or the previous owner treated him unfairly or never bothered to interact with him. As he moved around he took very cautious steps always stopping and looking around..listening. Every head sway you could see his bright red eyes and was flushed with anger. Soon his eyes meet mine, locked in place and not once did either of us blink, he let off a low growl. But I did not move, I blinked once and as if something "clicked" I seen the truth.. under all of that anger and rage was hurt, hurt and longing. To be loved and to be healed of the scar's that lay beneath, to have someone there to kill away the loneliness that never seem to leave. I put on my brave face and step forward... Maybe we were destined to be together.

Your Rider's Tribe:
She thrives in Mat'huen and having a dino that is completely wild and has a unknown past to her is just perfect.

How do you plan to train this dino?
I plan to mostly draw him, but will write stories for some of the training as I hope to get better with my writing.

Kage the shadow, but you can just call me Kage.

Dino's name:
灰の影
Hai no kage
"shadow of ash" in Japanese

Image
Your Rider's Name:
Shadow Hawkens

A little understanding on how she looks/is.
Shadow is a very rough character, she wears a black leather trench coat and her body armor is dark grey. She has three eye brow piercings on her left brow, two of them are just studs and the first one is a hoop. On her neck is a collar like choker necklace that is black, her hair is a medium dark yet light grey which the ends of it is white and she has black jagged stripes going across/around her head. Yes she has cat ears with a hoop in her left ear, well that's a different story so that will be saved for later.
Shadow is 5'6" and she has a slim and nice hour glass figure.

Shadow's personality is a bit cold hearted, she acts as if she can do anything and nothings impossible but she thinks that others will just get in her way. She has a big ego but don't let that get you down if she starts acting like a jerk, she is sometimes lovable. Shadow is very cut off, she hates being around others because of her past. She is antisocial, explaining a bunch about her. She only has a little bit of friends, but she doesn't even really hangout with them. The only thing she spends her time with is non human creatures, like for instance this dark looking beast.

Image

Your Rider's Tribe:
Mat'huen

How do you plan to train this dino?
By making a bunch of art to go with a big story I shall make with him in it. Plus make a roleplay for these beasts if allowed.

First impression:
Shadow sighed as she leaned against the base of a tree, she yawned. Shadow had never really became a rider yet, as her eyes slowly began to close she heard the bushes shake and birds fly away. The trees shook along with the bushes, she sat up wide awake and shot to her feet her hand on her sword. There was finally going to be some action today, she heard a deep growl that made her spine tingle with a small amount of fear. Red irises peered out from the dark forest, they weren't plain red eyes but just the iris. Shadow moved her feet, she got into a fighting stance ready for whatever it was. Suddenly a shreek came out and a shadowy white demon like dino came tumbling out of the bushes, Shadow let out her war cry charging after the beast to capture it.
To be continued....

Breast Size: 48B
Hair Color/Length: Long and Black
Eye Color: Hazel Green
Skin Tone: Light Tan
Blood Type: AB+
Height: 5ft 8inches
Weight: 166pounds
Theme Song: Three Days Grace - Pain
Personality: Though she seems calm and laid back, she will become fiercely protective and angered if anyone endangers anyone close to her. She tends to flirt alot with guys she meets and then leaves them cold. There are times where she just brushes everyone off, so leave her alone when that happens. She seems to hold a deep hate towards those who abuse others and tends to get in the middle of things when she sees someone being abused.
History: Nothing much is known about Saniya. She came into the tribe one day and has stayed ever since. She doesnt have alot of friends, but she seems to get along with everyone in the tribe. She refuses to speak of her past to anyone she doesnt know and trust. She does bare a few scars on her arms that suggest an abusive past.

Image
Mat'iri
The people of the Mat'iri took Saniya into their care after she stumbled into their camp with sever wounds to her arms and back. When she was fully healed they made her a permanent member of the tribe for they saw something special about her.

Image
Mostly Literature
Saniya will be training this big guy using a gentle touch and a calm voice. Working to earn his trust before moving forward.

Image
The air was rather unsettling, more than normal as Saniya had taken her normal stroll around the Mat'iri lands. She was about to head back to the main camp when she heard a mighty roar in the distance that seemed to pull at her very soul. As she slowly turned her slim body towards the direction the roar had come from, she soon felt the ground shake followed by the sound of thunder. As the sound got louder a dinosaur came into view she felt her heart quicken to the point it matched the pounding of it's footsteps. When the mighty creature came to a stop just four miles from where she stood, a sense of pride seemed to fill the air along with rage and distrust. Saniya knew these feelings all to well and she felt compassion towards the dinosaur which only grew when she saw the scars upon his marvelous body and the remains of a chain that had failed to hold him. "You and I are more a like than anyone could understand. For that you deserve to be with someone who knows your pain, Harun. I promise you will soon feel the kindness and gentleness you had obviously been denied." She said to the mighty Bernikesaur before heading back towards camp and prepare for what she hoped would be her chance to bond with this creature she felt a natural bond with.

Re: THE LOST RIDERS - #25

Postby Korona Knight » Thu Oct 31, 2013 12:03 pm

ImageMy username is Korona Knight, though most people just refer to me as Korona or Kora. My favorite characters always adorn the name Korona Knight {or various forms of the name} and all normally have similar personalities and even looks. It's a name that I cherish and rarely ever change.
ImageAfter searching long and hard for a name that would suit this particular dinosaur, I decided to go along with the theme of colors and the date for which this ends. His name is Idolum, Latin for Ghost or Spirit. There were other words I would have chosen, though none quite suited him as best as Idolum. Idol would most likely be his quick call name, something I as a rider would refer to him on short notice. Obsidian was another name for the beast, though upon further inspection of the name, it was discarded, as Idolum is not only more unique for a name, but Obsidian refers to a rock, while Idolum refers more to something that I believe the dinosaur relates to - a ghost or a phantom.
ImageMy rider's name is in no doubt Korona Knight. She hails from a broken family of poverty and heartbreak; however, this has only made the young woman stronger than anyone had ever expected.
Kora is of short to average height, only about 5 and half steps, toe to heel, of her father's feet. She has very long ebony hair that falls to her lower back when it is dried, though reaches well past her rear when wet, as her hair is naturally curly, a mess of large barrel curls, waves, and smaller curls intertwined. She often has her hair pulled up into a gentle, loose, high ponytail or just down and free, though she will rarely put it in a braid or do something more intricate with it, if she feels bored or the need to do such a thing.
Her eyes are a very light gray, almost a shimmering silver, with flecks of different colors swimming in the depths, though you would never be able to tell unless you watched the color of her eyes from day to day, as they vary with her outfit and the lighting. Most often they will only look a dark gray or a very light sapphire, though they've been known to even look violet on some occasions.
Kora's skin has an olive skin tone base and tans very well. Because she outside a good 50% of the day, Kora has gotten a rather dark complexion.
Kora has a very slim figure, and though it doesn't show it, there is a lot of power packed behind her lean, wiry muscles. She is sometimes referred to as too skinny, but when your family hardly makes enough to buy one meal a week, not eating becomes a habit.
Because of her looks, Kora is often looked at as unapproachable, harsh, daunting, cruel, sarcastic, distraught, and often times, bordering insane. Though she denies none of this and her personality shows that most of it is true, there is more to Kora than just simple black and white words on a paper or given to her as a label by the members of her village and tribe. She is a natural hunter and has provided for her family in such a way. Now that she has reached the age that she can get a mount, she knows she can do so much more for her family. She has secret dreams and wishes, though has the mind to know that it is only wishful thinking. Though she has a hard shell, a few people may be able to crack her open and reach the depths of her true identity.

ImageKorona was born and raised in the tribe of Mat'huen. She has a small trinket she keeps at all time, a sliver of obsidian in her pocket. There is nothing distinctive about this piece of black rock, other than it's extremely shiny, a characteristic of the rock, and it allows her to see her darkened reflection whenever she feels lonely or lost. It provides her nothing but comfort and a memory, to always keep her tribe and her colors close to her.
ImageI plan to train Idolum through writing. While I have no talent for drawing in any aspect, writing has become a passion of mine, to the point where it's become a career option for me, if I wish to choose it. Though I'm nowhere near good at this point, I am improving rapidly, and anything to improve my writing is a great opportunity for me. I believe Idolum and Korona will get far through my training with writing.
ImageWith each step, sand displaces itself from beneath my enclosed foot, the leather that surrounds the tender flesh slowly beginning to wear away, and I fear that all too soon I will need to discard these shoes and make a new pair, or worse, buy a new pair.
A sigh escapes my heaving chest as I continue to walk forward, the metal of my armor clinking together softly with every step, reminding me of my task. My armor was nothing more than a thin chest plate, shoulder pads, a back plate, some very old and rusted chain mail, shin guards, and lower arm guards. The only weapon I had on me was my favored bow, though I prayed that I would not need it.
My mission continued to roll itself around in my head, taunting me with its ever echoing reminder; This is what will make you an adult. This is what will make you a true warrior. If you die...you will be missed.
I cringed at the last part, as I did every time I thought about it, but I had to do this. Not just for me, but for my family. My mother...my father...my younger siblings...and for Mako, may he rest in peace. It was this very task that had brought an end to my only older sibling. He had waited much longer than I had, as I am merely 17 years old and he was a good 20 when he went out to become a man, and yet something went wrong, and I lost him forever.
That was a few years ago. Now, it's my turn to face my fate.
I stop, taking a deep, steadying breath before pushing onward.
The first thing I heard was the noise. It was a gentle, subtle sound, just droplets falling back to their mother lake, but the soft gulps that followed afterwards alerted me that I was no longer alone.
Turning, I barely moved as I looked over to where the sound was originating, my heartbeat speeding up, threatening to stop at any second or burst out of my chest - I don't think it had decided on its fate yet.
Merely ten or so running strides away stood what seemed to be the most elegant, yet dangerous, creature I'd ever laid eyes on. I had seen a few dinosaurs in my day, but never quite like this. All the ones I had seen were trained and rather humble, entertaining us children and protecting us. Seeing the ones with the soldiers of my tribe was the reason I wanted to be a warrior. I wanted to do what they could do, yet they were nothing like the thing that stood in front of me.
It lifted its head from the water, the black patches around its eyes whipping back and forth from my view as it shook its head to try and rid itself of the excess water. It was then that it finally noticed me, its shockingly scarlet eyes locking onto my own, though I'm sure I was wide eyed and terrified at that moment.
I'm not sure how long we stood there, staring at each other, but it was quite some time before something clicked in its mind, and it charged.
I rolled out of the way as fast as I could, thankful for my balance, flexibility, and reaction time. Those three attributes were the only reason they had considered me to go out on my own, without anyone to at least accompany me to the dinosaur. I had insisted I do it on my own, and from what they saw of me, they agreed.
There was no time to think as the dinosaur turned, continuing its charge, a blood-curdling roar emanating from its chest and sinking into my very core.
I began to tire as I dodged each run, though it showed no signs of slowing nor tiring as it just continued to come at me, teeth bared and growling, something that was more terrifying to me than anything I'd ever experienced before.
It wasn't until it was turning around for yet another charge that I noticed something odd on its right ankle. Thinking fast, I tuck and rolled when it charged, but this time I went underneath the dinosaur, grabbing the odd thing and allowing myself to be jerked as it picked up that leg.
The dinosaur had not been prepared for this and stumbled, rolling a bit away from me, glaring at me as I had let go, sitting and trying to get a baring for my surroundings.
The thing glinted again, and from what I had felt and what I was seeing, it looked like a broken chain. I looked at the dinosaur, which I could now tell was male, and could see something I hadn't seen before - fear. True terror shone in the depths of those blood red irises, and a slight, visible shudder ran down his spine.
We both arose at the same time, still watching each other carefully, before he limped off at as fast a rate as he could manage. I knew I hadn't caused the limp, as I was not that heavy nor that strong, but I had made it more prominent, which set hard in my stomach as guilt crept up my spine.
What had happened to that poor dinosaur? Something terrible, I know that much, and I fear it had something to do with another tribe. It did not look like something my tribe would use, though it would most likely be blamed on us if this was ever found out. No one trusts my tribe, and I'm rather alright with that.
I brushed myself off, picking up a few dropped items, including my shard of obsidian. It had a deep crack in it now, and as I looked closer, I saw that the crack was filled with blood, as well as the tip. The blood was already drying, but I could tell it was not human. The dinosaur must have stepped on it by accident.
As I walked back towards my village, I pocketed my good luck charm, reflecting back on what had just happened. Something terribly wrong had been inflicted upon that dinosaur, and for some reason, rage boiled inside of me as I thought about it. I felt personally connected to him now, and that injustice would not do.
I vowed then that I would catch that dinosaur, tame him, and claim him as my own. He was already mine in my head, and though I knew others would be after him as well, I was determined to get him first. He deserved someone who would understand him, and if anyone knew about a life of horrid events, it was my own self.
My hand felt the shard of obsidian once more. I felt a deep connection with this dinosaur, and it was my destiny to tame him. I would make my entire family proud, but most of all, I would make Mako proud.

.~*~.

I may or may not edit this a little later, but for now, this will have to do ^^

I hope I'm still in time!!!

Dino’s name:
Agro—from a Celtic word meaning “battle” or “slaughter”. ‘Agro’ is also used frequently in MMORPG’s to describe unwarranted aggression.

Rider:
Adriyn is a stubborn and clever twenty-year old whose personality matches her fiery hair. Though somewhat small in stature, she makes up for it with her agility. A skilled archer, Adriyn is certainly a girl to content with.

Description:
She’s small, only about 5’4”. Adriyn has long, dark red hair she keeps in a braid down her back and brilliant green eyes with a ring of gold around the pupils. She is thin, but still athletic. Once quite fair as a child, her skin is now a golden tan. Her clothing is usually boots, leggings and a loose fitting tunic. When she ‘suits up’ she has a leather chest piece and leg guards and carries a small round shield at her back, along with her quiver of arrows and her bow slung over her shoulder. She never goes without her leather bracers/fingerless gloves. She wears thinner ones for every-day but has tougher, thicker ones for her armor. She keeps some small knives on her at all times, and she is quite skilled at throwing them. She can move easily through the sparse brush without being seen or heard, and has a habit of appearing seemingly out of nowhere and then disappearing just as easily.

Personality:
Adriyn has always felt she needed to make up for her small size. Never willing to give up, Adriyn will keep at any task until she succeeds or is FORCED to give up. Sometimes this works for her, other times against her. She tends to be impulsive, which has served her well on occasion, but has a tendency to get her into trouble. She views authority with respect, but also as something that can be bent or disregarded if necessary. What is ‘necessary’ depends on the situation. For her, nothing is ‘black and white,’ everything is shades of grey. She has a hard time trusting others, but when trust is earned, she is very loyal. If that trust is broken, it is very hard to earn it back, if she’ll ever trust that person again at all. Though she does get along with most other people, she does enjoy spending time alone, among nature and animals or practicing with her bow or throwing knives.

Rider’s Tribe:

Mat'onit

How do I plan to train this Dino?:
In writing form. I don’t have a tablet and hate mouse-drawing, so I rarely use the oekaki.

Rider’s first impression:

Anger.

That’s what she saw in the beast that sulked along the tribe’s border. His muscles rippled beneath his skin, tense and ready to spring at any moment. Something rustled in a nearby shrub and the Dino moved as fast as one can blink. Shrieking, he plunged his open jaws into the bush, tearing it up out of the ground and shaking it viciously. A frightened bird squawked and flapped away, and the Dino snapped at it, sniffing in distaste when he missed. Without distraction now, the Dino raised his head high and sniffed the air, his eyes darting frantically about him.

The world seemed to hold its breath as those fiery eyes settled on the young woman’s hiding place. Even tucked away in the shadows of a small, scrubby patch of shrubs beneath a sparse tree, Adriyn still felt completely exposed. She dared not even look away; such a subtle reaction could involuntarily cause her head to move, and she would then be the next thing to dangle from this beat’s massive jaws.

The Dino sniffed again, (thank the heavens she was downwind), and shook his head, deciding that there was no immediate threat. He picked gingerly at a chain around his right ankle, prying carefully at the metal cuff with his teeth. Now how hadn’t she noticed that before? That adds a whole new dimension to this creature. Again, his head shot up and his eyes scanned the vicinity, watching for any sign of life.

Fear.

He’d been captured before. Humans were not strangers to him. This could prove to be an interesting experience.
Slowly and quietly, Adriyn adjusted herself in her hiding place.

Then she stood up.
Oh Tongue, Give Sound to Joy and Sing,
Of Hope and Promise on Dragonwing!
