Tai had began to watch the older couple again, marveling at their brought peace. She looked down again as a text came though. She frowned, though was pretty surprised at the new group chat.

To: Phoebee & Maribel
[Who told you that? Its not that we hate you Maribel, we just don't like.. the popular life. Mk?]

Tai put her phone back in her pocket. Sometimes she wished to be popular, but she always turned that thought away. She would hate to have people listen to her every word, marveling. She sighed, and threw away her food.

When the text came through, I responded almost immediately. But this time I made it into a one on one text.

[I'm smart enough to figure things out myself. But you're part of this group anyways, so you kinda have to deal with it.. and it would be easier to deal with it if you could actually get along with me.

And you have to admit. You've NEVER thought of how fun it would be to be popular?]

I wasn't usually so bossy, but people around here didn't know that.. With the exception of Becc and Shane.. It made me feel kinda guilty.. but it felt good to have the power sometimes.

Phoebe pulled her phone out and saw a bunch of new texts. She looked at Alex and shrugged apologetically before turning around and reading everything.

[I don't hate u! It's just that I don't really like being a "follower" is all... :S]

[It's fine. And yeah, I'm heading to GameStop with Alex and James. You can come over afterwards, and hopefully we can all hang.]

I looked down at my phone and shot a quick reply.

[Mk. Maybe we can hang out sometime? You could teach me how to skateboard.]

The thought of hanging with my haters made me feel.. Well.. A little strange. But I thought it was okay, because I would make more friends.

She read the next text and replied.

She finished texting and put her phone back in her bag. She headed to a clothing store she had seen while eating.

Phoebe sighed at the text from Maribel. Teach her how to skateboard? She scratched her head before replying.

[I dunno. Maribel's really weirding me out. I'll call you l8er.]

A small scowl appeared on Phoebe's face, but quickly slipped away. Maribel was really getting on her nerves, but at least she was attempting to relate to the lonely skater girl of the group. Phoebe took a deep breath before turning back to Alex. She tried smiling but failed and it ended up in a strange half grin that was obviously fake.

Tai sighed as another text came in.

[Kinda, at least she's trying. You know? Call me whenever, I'm roaming again.]

She laughed slightly at what she said, and headed into the store to look at the designs.

I read Phoebes text and sighed, obviously depressed. Phoebe thought I was being creepy. Another came in.

She was the bestest friend ever, besides Becc. She was definently the best. I sat and waited for a response.

I looked up from my phone and back at Phoebe, sighing. "Maribel texted me asking where I was." I said, and gulped. I was pretty bored, scrolling through my dashboard and running my fingers through my hair once more.

I smiled, but even I could feel it didn't turn out very good. People seemed excited about the party, but nobody wanted to plan. I had no idea what to do, but thought maybe a nice group outing to.. maybe the park or something would make them want to come. "Okay. So who all wants to come shopping again?" I asked. I then counted the people who remained at the table, Me, Becc, Shane, The Smart girl, Kay, and.. that was it. Everyone else already left or went to do something else. I sucked down the rest of her frappuccino and checked my Tumblr, nothing new, just selfies and such. I texted some people, one of whom was my friend, Haley, who was currently in Greece visiting her grandparents. Lucky. I thought.
