The reason I chose Draco was because it seemed kind of fitting for a dragon themed mutato and Draco is the latin form of greek Drakon, meaning dragon.

Draco would usually play outside for a while then go back in for a hot cup of cocoa. Maybe even take a short nap and go back outside.

Reason for choosing the name
I used to spend a lot of time at my great aunt's place when I was a kid and one of the things we'd do was play an old Playstation game, Spyro. Yes, he's a purple dragon just as in this design but that doesn't really have anything to do with why I chose the name. I went with it more so because I associate the game with laying at my aunt's feet, the sound of my close relatives laughing, and the aroma of homemade dinners wafting into the living room.

What is this mutatos favourite thing to do when it's bad weather outside?
Spyro enjoys playing the older arcade games such as Pac-Man, mainly because of the fact it's easy for him to control the joystick and tap the large red button once in awhile. He tried once upon a cloudy day ago to play a newer game with the controllers we're all familiar with today, but it didn't quite work out.

Reason for choosing the name:
Ryuu is a beautiful yet simple name that flows on the tip of your tongue.
It means "Dragon" in Japanese based on this magnificent mutato's appearance.
This name gives off respect to other people for such a small yet powerful name for a dragon.
I think that this name is quite fitting to this lovely mutato.

What is this mutatos favourite thing to do when it's bad weather outside?
Ryuu loves to dance in the rain.
Even when he was young, thunder made him giggle, and lightning made him shriek with delight.
Even in the windiest storms, rather than huddle inside like a frightened mouse,
he'll be outside, riding the currents like a surfer rides the waves.
As a matter of fact, stormy days are when Ryuu is happiest,
and, as he likes to think, his dimension.

I would call him Spyros, seeing as this image looks like Spyro, and the scientific name for dragon is "Dracos". This name in my opinion would suit this mutato well. Dragons are one of my favourite creatures, and I LOVE the eye at the bottom!


Spyros' favourite thing to do in bad weather is to watch the lightning and listen to the thunder in the dark, but in shelter. He watches and watches, because he likes to imitate the harp, jagged patterns while flying, and he thinks that they look like the sky is shattering. If it is just a rain storm, he likes to fly in them, and enjoys the feeling of the wind and rain around him.

Kalpana means "imagine," or "fantasy." I didn't want to pick the obvious route, which would be to name the Mutato "dragon," and because my own name means "dragon" I felt this probably wouldn't be the best idea, as I didn't want to call the Mutato my own name. So, looking around in the Mutato's own design, I found several things, one of which is that you don't know that that is a dragon. It can be anything it there, but you can assume it is a dragon. So I looked for a name that meant "imagine" because you can only imagine the dragon is in there, you can't really truly tell. (Unless you're the artist. But you know...)

What is this Mutatos favorite thing to do when it's bad weather outside?
Kalpana loves to just find someplace nice to relax in, and she daydreams. She imagines being a hero, flying off to save people. She imagines inventing a way to fly with feathered wings. She gets this idea from one of the tales of Daedalus, where, to escape from a king, he and his son make feathered wings to fly away. The wings fail, when his son flies to close to the sun, but Kalpana likes to imagine that they fly away to safety, and that she too will someday make wings of her own, even though she can already fly.

Howdy there, I'm DragonLoverHere, but people call me Drags, Dragon, or just by my initials. But anything works.

This mutato name comes with two pieces of importance to it. The first name, Draconia, is taken from draco, which means dragon. However, the name Draco alone was too brutish for the beauty of this. To soften the name I felt the feminine side had to show through somehow. The reason of the choosing mostly though is obvious; the dragon upon her tail and the eye upon her body.

Her last name, Burst, has it's own reasons as well. Draconia from birth has always been a ball of flames, never sitting still and always flaring up with emotion unexpectedly. It's extremely difficult for her to control and it tends to get the better of her. But, Burst doesn't just speak of her impulsive and reckless nature. It also describes her exploding passion, loyalty, and kindness to others and things she feels close to. One could say she is the burst of a dragon's burning heart in that manner.


Depending on her mood, Draconia does two things for different reasons.
When she's furious or sad, she will take flight high into the clouds and let the rain literally wash away her pain. She also does this at times because she has a heavy concentration of iodine gas that gives her body it's rich purple color, and because the concentration sometimes becomes unbalanced it harms her. Whether the unbalance is triggered by her rage or depression or simply a sudden change in her activity levels, she must fly into the weather to have the clouds take away some of the painful gas. This, however, does not mean that it is easy for her to endure the battering winds and vicious thunder, and she must bite back fear with these flights.

But at the times she is joyful and peppy, a rainy day is the perfect invitation to curl up with her computer and a huge mug of tea in her cave. She takes great love in her digital life and her abilities to speak to others over global distance without exhausting herself in long flights. Sure, she loves frolicking and zipping about in the sun and fields, but being alone with a quiet rain falling eases her thoughts and lets her meditate as she chats with her hoard of philosophical buddies.
