Laughing along with him, my heart fills up with happiness. I listen to the bit about his mother, an my smile fades as he trails off. Although I don't know exactly what's up with her, I can have a pretty good idea. I see tears filling up George's eyes and scoot closer to him. Planting a kiss on his cheeks, I offer a reassuring smile. "It's okay," I tell him soothingly. My eyes linger on his, and I can tell that he is trying to hide the tears.
