The buckskins strides weren't graceful, or even that pretty. They were heavy and plodding, his boxy rump swaying as he bounced off his hocks in a friendly trot. Nothing about it seemed threatening, but he stopped a few yards away for good measure. When he was a yearling he has been kicked in the nose by a moody mare and he didn't want it to happen again. "Hello!" He called, eyes bright.
Emmet froze, but calmed when she heard that the voice was feminine. The mare slowly trudged through the brush, shaking her mane of the leaves and giving a friendly knicker. She was much smaller than the other mare, standing a measly 14 hands. Pony heritage laced through her facial features, looking more like a childrens hack than a wild horse. "Hello, there." The welsh replied, nibbling at the grass but continuing to watch the other mare.
