Gok simply watched intently as this woman seemed determined to stand up to the General. He could all but stifle his laughter, however, as he noticed cracks beginning to form in her resolve. Her practically begging him not to take her back to the King she so dreaded was all it took to send him over the edge, bursting out into a mad cackle.

"I don't think you're in any position to be trying to make bargains, little lady. I've got a rebel and a filthy traitor right here, and it's my duty as a General of the King's army to dispose of you both."

It was moments like these that he relished in, twisting the gun as he grind the metal of the barrel against her neck.

"But, I'm a bit of a scoundrel myself, and in a pretty good mood at that. So, how about this. I'll let you go. I'll let you run free to whatever far corners of this kingdom as you want, and I'll never say a word. I'll forget this entire moment ever happened, and just let you run free."

He felt a sense of childish glee almost fill his chest as he could have sworn to have seen a glint--the smallest hint of hope in her eyes as he spoke. He was practically giddy as he raised his other arm, now pointing his sword at her comrade across the stream.

"In exchange for his life. You let me gun this man down, and you, deserter of the King can run and be free."

Noah cringed slightly when Gok said something about killing him. He immediately shook it off and narrowed his eyes at the king's soldier in front of him. He didn't want to die like this, here. He still had so much life, he was young for an elf, he could still live another hundred years if he wasn't killed.

Calamity Sat up from her bed and felt the back of her head. It didn't hurt anymore, she didn't think it was a problem. Standing, she wondered where Gok had wandered off to. He had said he was going to the next town over, but her could be anywhere. Dissolving into thin air, she went off to look for him.

(Sorreh if anything is spelled wrong or is messed up. My kindle is doing this weird thing and making cs glitch. It's really annoying. =-= )

Victor: He was heading on the path he always patrolled on. The stream was close to his path an so was his hiding tree where he his his clothes for when he changed back.

A strand of panic shot through her whole body and with that she instinctually grabbed Gok's arm that withheld the gun. It was not because he was pushing down against her windpipe with barrel of the gun that could possibly, eventually might even cut off her air supply if he dare pushed further but because, the thought of him killing Noah she had to do something. Meeting Gok's gaze with her own, like using her own hand but instead it was her mind she slipped into his head, she didn't want to cause him any kind of pain just yet, and so she made it into some sort of caress as she whispered into his thoughts,

Do you think I have no heart or brain, whatsoever? I refuse to let you kill him, even if I've only known the man for 10 minutes I know that he is good. You own the other hand...you disgust me. You think you can win every game you start but you're wrong, you are foolish to underestimate those you recognize as the weak and pitiful,

Pauses for a moment to examine Gok's face,

Then again, maybe you're struggling with yourself on the inside and maybe I'm wrong about you. Oh Gok, why do you enjoy hurting people that could be your friends? I'm not trying to be a cliche here but I believe there is good in everyone,

Kaoru relaxing her grip on his arm, began to lift it upwards she hesitated before she brought it up to his face. She lightly pressed her fingers against his cheek, titling her head up to really see him.

(Who knows? School has started back up, and people have jobs, so I guess some don't have time anymore. The only time I'm really not on is Mondays and Thursdays. ._.)

Calamity appeared behind Gok, hiding in the shadow of a tree. She tilted her head when she saw Kaoru had her hand on his cheek. Her eyes flashed, but nothing more. Sitting down on a rock in the shadows, she watched how this little exchange would turn out.
