River stopped tugging on Junco's ear at hearing Bellow's words and moved away pulling the rabbit that was placed in front of her this morning and pushed it slightly towards Bellow. Flicking her ear River wondered for awhile how can all of the older pack members and loners not show fear at the mention of going south ... "I'm scared about going south too" not wanting Junco to hear River moved slightly closer and whispered her next words "I'm worried that the pack will abandoned me like my mother if i can't keep up with them" River shook herself trying to clear her fear and worries before continuing talking "You remember all those adventures we had before? Just consider heading south one of your adventures but the whole pack is coming along with us" River grinned wagging her tail before ripping the rabbit in half "Lets go half" she pushed the end of the rabbit towards Bellow before eating her half.

Bellow snickered at the thoughts of said "adventures" and nibbled at his rabbit. He looked down at his food; it looked scrawny and weak. "Our pack won't live on this prey if we stayed here, anyway. It just wouldn't be enough." He sighed, thinking back on his life as far as he could remember. He was taken into the pack very young, so this was most of what he remembered. He thought of the dead wolf he and River had just encountered. How he wished things didn't have to change as they did. Finishing his rabbit, he said to River, "What do you think it'll be like down south? Surely it'll be warmer than up here!" Bellow shivered at the thought of the icy landscape.

Xani
- Female - 21 - Fighter -

Though she had slept rather well, there was still an odd feeling of lethargy that came over Xani as she got up. If not for Attican's bark, she would most likely have continued sleeping. Since she was buried, who knows if anyone would have woken her up? Yes, being a fighter meant that her role was important, but did anyone even want her around? Besides Ash, she was the biggest liability in the entire pack. However, she was also one of the best fighters of the pack. She just went about her life, not caring what happened as long as it ended in survival.

Once she was awake enough to stand on her own two feet, she trotted towards Attican. Not forgetting their interaction of the night before, she spoke with a hint of a growl in her voice. "What's the plan and when do we move out?"


Junco
- Male - 15 - Omega -

Junco's sleeping had been rather peaceful and largely undisturbed. It wasn't nearly long enough, though, before he started to wake up. He wasn't sure what was going on, but he felt something tugging his ear. He didn't respond, hoping that it would just go away. After a moment, however, he heard a voice. It was young and male, meaning that it had to be Bellow. He listened, concluding that River was tugging on his ear. He listened as he struggled to come back to the world of the awake and fully conscious. After a moment, Junco sat up. He stretched and shook, the snow from his fur flying into the air and making a sort of mini-flurry over the two pups. "Good morning, you two."

Junco turned to eye the elder wolf as he let out a bark to the others, telling them to get up. He just stretched before looking down at the pups. "Hey, why don't you two stick close to each other and me, alright? I can carry you if you get tired, and we can keep an eye on each other. Deal?"

Attican

73 - Brute - Keeper

The brute continued his calls for a while, wanting to make absolutely sure that everyone was up and collected for the journey. Wolves seemed to pop up from all over, walking towards Attican and creating a blob-like group around him. His eyes trailed around doing mental headcount. As he did so they caught sight of the Alpha and Beta siblings off in the distant foreground, appearing to have conversation between them. Ash shook out his pelt and with that ran out of sight altogether, beginning to scout more than likely. "Godspeed you two.." His voice whispered airily, hoping with all his being that everything would turn out smoothly for them. He couldn't help but worry for everyone's safety, but their position was definitely the most dangerous.

He scanned over the landscape one final time, getting lost in thought for a few moments and recreating different memories from the past in his head. His thoughts were cut short however as a voice came up to him. Attican turned around, seeing the tri-colored fighter address him. "Good morning Xani, I do hope you slept well last night." His voice had nothing but true sincerity in it. Their previous conversation from yesterday was over now and the brute held no judgments of the past. Edginess was to be expected especially in a time of the unknown such as this and Attican did not expect for everyone to understand his actions all the time. He motioned his massive head towards the direction that the siblings had disappeared from. "Ash and Resin have decided that they will scout out ahead of the pack as we travel, myself leading the rest of the pack behind. We will be in constant contact with each other through barks and calls, should anything arise." He turned back to the wolfess, flicking one of his ears behind him instinctively halfway listening for anything.

"As for when we leave, that is up to Resin. I am about to perform a final count to make sure everyone is indeed accounted for and if everyone is I will call to her telling her so. After that we will just have to wait for a return message. I do not doubt it will be soon however, I'd assume within just a few short minutes." His gaze looked up the the sky for a moment, clouds continuing to swirl above them. He shook his body, his pelt ruffling up as he did so.

"Now please do excuse me, I want to make sure that everyone is here." Attican nodded his head to her and bowed out, beginning to weave through the group of wolves, making mental tally of each one. His head was craned high, trying to look over everyone. He counted the two pups and Junco with them, the couple mated pairs, a few stragglers joined by Curse, this one, that one... everyone was there. The Elder was glad for it, the first step of the journey at least going on without a hitch. Padding his way to the front Attican sucked in a breath beginning his call to the Alpha. It was long and drawled, wavering his vocals in the middle and cut off short at the end. He repeated this a few times, making sure that it was heard.

'We are accounted for and prepared. Ready when you are.' It said.

On the horizon of the icy tundra, the pack of huge wolves could be spotted from miles away. Their outer coats were damp from wet snow and ice, yet they stood without a chilly bone in their bodies as the wind whipped across their backs. The two who stood the tallest, alpha and beta, were slightly separated from the pack, keeping watch like doting parents as the other socialized, quarreled, and fed. They did not notice the missing fae, and likely wouldn't if she never returned to the pack.

As was per usual, the young omega fae was off on her own. Her slender body was small in comparison to her packmates', her golden fur shimmering with the wetness of her world. Her posture was low, that of her rank, and flowing copper and golden fur covered one eye the colour of sweet hay just ripe for picking. Ginkgo, the outsider-turned-omega, had strayed from the pack a few minutes ago. She didn't like large gatherings, they made her anxious, and so it was safer to be a small distance from them. The males especially made her wary, their hulking forms and snapping jaws causing her bobbed tail to turn down in an incomplete show of fear.

She could still see them as she looked back at the horizon, all the wolves chatting, playing, waiting. She would follow when it was time to leave, perhaps stay close to the elder wolf in the hopes that she could avoid any major confrontations with the stronger members of the pack. It was a dangerous time to live, and she had more to fear than any of the others.

Curse

Curse closed her eyes pushing away her memories her past as the elder spoke, she barley nodded her head when the Alpha arrived and asked if she would be continuing on with the Pack. She was not one for packs, not sense the last pack she'd been a part of had all died. But for now, she would stay with this pack, because even when surrounded by Death she didn't wish to die. She stretched and shook herself hard again and let out a puff of air, watching as the other wolves around her got ready to go.

[Resin]

Ash-

Though the wind blew against him, he made good time reaching the borders of their territory. Even through the snow he could smell the marks of the wolves on border patrol. His own mark was there as well as his sisters. Looking over his shoulder, he could see her in the distance. She was coming quickly towards him. Once she reached his side, he cracked a grin and spoke in an overly dramatic tone. "No troubles yet, oh alpha, my alpha!" He'd always used humor when situations were tense. A slight tendril of fear curled in the pit of his stomach and was quickly forgotten. He'd never been outside their boundaries. Their pack lands had been very extensive. They were the largest lands out of all four Great Wolf packs.
"Are you ready for this?" Behind him, his white tail flicked back and forth.

Resin-

Coming up beside Ash, she brushed against his side both to reassure him and to reassure herself. When he spoke his silly words, she bumped his shoulder with her own. "I get enough of that with the pack." Resin would prefer to have her pack address her by her name rather than her title unless they were in the presence of another pack.
Black ears flicked backwards then the turned her head, catching Attican's howl. She held the old wolf in very high esteem. She trusted him above all others, save her brother. Hopefully he would be able to keep the wolves in check. If not, she wouldn't be too far away. Raising her muzzle, she loosed her own howl. A low strong howl carried through the air, telling the old wolf and all the rest to head South. She and Ash would lead the way.

[The Royal Mirage]

Chocolate-rimmed ears, their texture soft as velvet, pricked at the low howl of the alpha. Ginkgo turned to see the siblings leading the pack Southward, and she in turn began the trek. She kept to herself, staying away from the great blob of wolves so much larger than herself, as her body was nearly swallowed by the snow through which she trudged. All that could be seen of her at times was a short speck of golden fur, and a flash of sunlight eyes.

Resin- Alpha Female

She and Ash ran ahead, scouting out the path of least resistance. They would try to make it as easy for the pack as possible. They had been walking for hours. Periodically Resin would howl back to Attican, checking on the packs progress. She worried for the pups and the omegas. A few of the omega's were very timid and would most likely stick to the back of the group.
The pair kept a bit of distance between them, but still kept one another in sight. They were trotting along when suddenly Ash called to her. Loping to him, he motioned through the blowing snow. A large precipice laid before them. "We'll have to find a way to cross this. You look, I'm going to run back to the pack and tell them to rest." Turning, she took off at a steady lope, eating up the distance in very little time.

Ash-

He stood at the edge of the precipice. The edge was slick and down below was the black ocean, crashing against both walls of ice. The distance from one side to the other wasn't too far, but it was definitely too far to jump. He plodded through the snow, looking for a way across.
In time he came to a thin stretch of ice that stretched from one side to the other. An ice bridge would be difficult to traverse, but it seemed that it would be their only option. Slowly and with very careful steps, Ash made his way out onto the bridge. It was wide enough for him to cross, but just barely.
From one side to the other he walked once; twice; three times, ensuring the safety. On the third pass a gust of wind slammed into him and he slid, his claws digging into the ice. He managed to hold on and make it back to the side where the pack would approach. This was going to be very, very difficult.

Resin-

Through the harsh wind and snow she trod, making her way back to the pack. Lifting her muzzle, she howled, calling all of the wolves forward for a meeting. Some of them looked fatigued already. As the pack assembled, she greeted each and questioned their well being. It was imperative that everyone be healthy and on their toes. with the land randomly falling out from under your feet, one had to constantly be alert.
Mentally she took a head count, saying the name of each wolf when her yellow eyes rested upon them. Some wolves had fallen far behind and it took them a while to join the rest of the group. Something would have to be done about that. Finally all were accounted for.
Resin advised them to huddle together in a circle. Not only for warmth, but their bodies would shield the wind, allowing everyone to speak and be heard.
"Up ahead there is a large precipice; a break in the ice that we aren't able to jump. Ash is looking for a way to get across, so for now I'd like everyone to rest. Conserve your energy. Huddle together for warmth. Xani," she addressed the female. "I trust you to be on your own. Would you be willing to walk behind the pack and make sure that no one falls behind? With the shortage on food, I wouldn't put it past the ice bears to pick off the slower members."

River

River glared at Bellow as he snickered at something she had said, eventually she ignored it and layied down wondering who the male wolf that both of them found early was and why it didn't call for help seeing their pack was so close. River's ear moved at the sound of Bellow's voice so she turned her head and looked at him "The land South will have lots and lots trees and that the ground will only be covered in ice when it's winter" although River would have like to stay here she wouldn't make it on her own seeing she was only a pup.

Feeling some snow land on her back River looked up and her eye lite up to see Junco sitting up and awake unlike the other male wolf, wagging her tail slightly River stood up and bounded closer towards him "Your up!! I thought the ice had got you like that other male wolf that we found" River pulled out the other rabbit and pushed it towards him her eyes still sparkling hearing his words River grinned "Deal" hearing the howl from their Alpha in the distance. River knew it was time to travel south wanting to be up front River brushed past Junco and bolt/bounded through the snow making sure she was in eye view of Junco or any other wolf near by. After awhile of bounding around River skidded to a stop before slowly walking back to Junco as she was getting tried of running around "Junco? Do you think my mother will join us soon to go south?" she asked curiously
