Kayl wanted to ask what the Twists of Fate did besides scream at you, but the military guy didn't seem like the type to let him ask questions. Which sucked because that's kind of what he did best. Or one of the things. He glanced at the back of his tag and saw the number four, while next to him that Lance guy was doing the same, and he could see it had a two. Looks like they weren't paired together then. He looked around hoping to spot whoever his partner would be.

Lance winced when the little box did its screaming thing, not appreciating the loud noise. After the group was told to split into teams he checked his own tag, noting the number two as the interesting odd guy next to him looked like he wanted to ask something but thought better of it and checked his own tag, which clearly read four. Lance sighed a bit, dissapointed glad, he was glad, that he wasn't on the same team as the other boy. "Who else is on Team Two?" He called out, looking around.

Julia rolled her eyes. "Remember, we got to work together if either one of us is going to win." She turned and stood beside here new team mate. "How are your survival skills? Can you boil water? Build a fire? Find ripe food?" Of course Julia could do everything to support a pair in the woods, but it's hard to care for a vegan, let alone one that shares a mutual hate. Some food just won't give you enough to survive. There are power foods you could find, like the liver of an animal, but she wouldn't eat that, it's from an animal. And berries don't grow everywhere, unless you wanted to eat grass all day, everyday.

She rolled her eyes and began walking through the woods, making sure Julia followed. "I'm vegan not handicapped," she remarked, pointing to several plants. "Those berries are edible, but those black ones aren't. I'll probably die if I ate those. I can boil water, but in case you hadn't realised we don't have a tin or pan let alone a fire. I think I hear the river anyway." She ignored the feeling that someone was watching them, and headed off to the sound of rushing water.
Meanwhile, Eddie the camera man spoke to Mark. "I gotta take a whiz," he muttered, handing the camera back to his producer. He headed off towards the wood in a different direction to the others, ducking through trees to relieve himself. Upon finishing, he turned and started to head back, but stepped in a track. The rope tightened around his ankle, hoisting him up into the trees. He cried out, but the sound was stopped by an arrow through the head.
Deon took the quad bike out to set up the last few Twists of Fate. Fixing the last one and avoiding setting the thing off, he headed back to his vehicle. Sitting on it sunk it low and looking to the side, he saw arrows poking out of his wheels. "dang weekend warriors," he muttered angrily, when an arrow flew past his face. Leaping off the bike, he ran back into the trees, hoping to get away from whoever was aiming to attack him.
